i guess what i don't get is people who are like, well since mattel is better, you have to collect them
hell no i don't, i'll collect what I like. I'm not a fan of the way mattel's look. thats an opinion, and its the opinion my money is spent based on...plain and simple

I'd only expect people to collect what they want to collect. Hell the market for WWF Hasbro's is very much alive, people still love those and that's just fine. But that wasn't my point, my point was people still think Jakks has a case here against the likes of Mattel, which they in fact do not.
If people still want to collect WWE Jakks figures, please do, more power to ya, I plan on buying most of their TNA figs and have damn near every UFC fig they've put out, but the Jakks vs. Mattel debate needs to end, it's ridiculous and invalid.

I worked for me. I had no intention of collecting Mattel until I seen user reviews and comparison's such as these on here. I only have a few, maybe about 10, but still.
It's nothing to take to heart, just a something fun to do in ones spare time.

This and the other survey of yours is so slanted towards Mattel, it's disgraceful. Simply because it's based on your own preferences! Eg. "Both bodies are also almost the same...but like the John Cena torso I think Mattel's is just better. " I would do a comparision but don't have the time right now. I would, next week though. Ciao I tend to agree with a lot of things that you post other than Mattel vs. Jakks. However, I do prefer Jakks' Cena and Batista torso over the Mattel ones.

How can anyone say Jakks made a better BIG SHOW? - Mattel's had EVERY tattoo including those on his neck and legs (Jakks omitted these of almost every fig) - Mattel's is in exact scale with the likes of Taker, Khali, Rey etc. Jakks is just one big size" - LOOK AT THE UPPER LEGS: Ho many Jakks have made Show in a singlet with the SHORTS? Probably 2 in their entire decade of making him - there's the Deluxe figure and maybe the new CS 3 pack from WWESHOP..>every other big show including those pictured on page 1 have the Jakks Big show wearing a singlet that rides his crotch....maybe when he was The Giant he had that going for him...never since late 90s - lets be honest Jakks were more about better headscans and less about superstar detail and scale.

Agree with everything except Undertaker's head. The paintjob just ing kills Mattel's. It looks like a dollar store figure head.

you cant compare the entrance greats HHH and Rey to the jakks counterparts, that just wouldnt be fair. See mattel made a line called Entrance Greats, and it was one of the first figures to come out so of course they are going to go all out and try to impress everyone off the bat, which of course is not a bad thing but still, if your going to compare a mediocre jakks product to a great mattel product, thats just not the way to go. Jakks are not obsolete. Jakks made some figures that blow mattels crap out of the water.

He compared the EG because they are massed produced whereas the Jakks version were Internet Exclusives meaning they would have made less so their could have been better detail. I think you missed the whole point of his post.

To some people they are obsolete, but I will say this. Now is a great time to find cheap figures that you've always wanted. If I was still into Jakks, I would be all over those. Cheaper figures also makes for cheaper parts to fix up and customize those figures that Jakks did f*ck up. So no they're not obsolete to everyone, but to some they are. Of all the stuff Mattel has put out they only figures that Jakks did better on are Jack Swagger and Jakks' version of the Superstar Mash ups Rey Mysterio which I think was RA39 had better detail (but was still out of scale)

I agree that some Mattels do look better than Jakks. Kofi, Bourne, Dibiase, and Orton in particular. However after those guys you have figures like Cena and Batista and their Jakks counterparts. To me, i just think that they both look very similar and its just personal preference after that. Im no Jakks lover or Mattel hater, im sort of neutral on the subject but i cant see how some guys say that Mattels BLOW Jakks out of the water. I mean, Jakks Edge figures are better than Mattels. Big Show outshines Mattels. Jakks Austin, Michaels are better. You know, after all the heated debate between Jakks and Mattel, in my opinion it just comes down to which style you prefer.

I agree with most of what you said, but the tattoos on the JAKKS Batista are better than the Mattel one - and Batista's dragon tattoo is not bright turquoise. The tattoos on the Mattels are far too bright, and not the correct colours.

The Mattel Big Show is missing the "Bess" tat, on the back of his neck, actually.
