Hello all.. Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but this is the section I spend all my time so thought it might work. I wondered if there's anybody from the US that is willing to help me out regarding shipping for an item. Basically I have won something but the seller won't ship direct to the UK. More details over pm, if anyone can help please pm me. Thanks in advance, Adam.

I've always been tempted to ask you guys about this - it really annoys me when people won't ship to the UK - maybe someone US based can clarify why this happens alot? Is there a different post office you have to go to to post worldwide or something? In my mind if someone pays the going rate for shipping over paypal, what's the difference where it's posted too? I post worldwide and NEVER over charge, i've even REFUNDED postage costs before straight after posting without being asked by the buyer because i hate being over charged myself

My main reason is because of Paypal and their policies. Unless their is on-line proof of delivery the buyer can say they never received it and get their money back. So they get the item/items plus their money back & the seller is screwed.
Once the package leaves the US their is no tracking unless you pay extra for it & most buyers don't want to pay the extra money. I'll send overseas for people on here, if they have been on a while and have good refs, but that's really it. Bob
