So since there hasn't been a thread made and I know at least some people who visit this board are reading this event so I thought to make this thread so people could post about what they thought of the chapters, and not really have to worry about not posting spoilers.
So what did everyone think about the first chapter? I haven't really had any interest in any X-Men related comics in awhile but after seeing all of the preview images for this comic and hearing what it was all about I went back and read all of House of M and Messiah War. I thought the beginning to this event was pretty good, I loved the beginning when Cable and Hope came back to the school and this new enemy seemed kinda neat. X-23 just flat out killing that guy was pretty crazy, and the ending with Bastion really surprised me and I can't wait to see what is going to happen with him throughout this event.

Have not picked it up yet, but planning on it. When Gambit returned to Legacy, I was interested. When Cyclops took over iI was interested. When Wolverine went to XForce, I was interested. But over the last few months, they have been truly losing my interest.

I'm incredibly excited about it. Messiah Complex is probably my favorite comic story ever, and I've grown up a huge X-Men fan. The opening issue was phenomenal and fast paced. Loved it. So much going on, Cable and Hope coming back, Nightcrawler, Psylocke, and Colossus finding out (somewhat) about X-Force, X-23 killing bitches. And I LOVE David Finch's artwork. Did you guys see the teaser image for X-Force 26? They promote "An X-Man Will Die," more specifically, "One of these X-Men will die" and have about 7 X-Men pictured. I don't want to post it in case anyone doesn't want to be spoiled. Fairly certain I know who it is at this point, though. media.comics.ign.com/media/038/038066/img_7668924.htmlMy pick is the second from the right. Cannot wait to pick up Uncanny X-Men tomorrow!

i've been following the messiah complex arc and much of utopia so this is bigger than siege for me. i love how cyclops has developed as a true leader in this time, and taken his own dreams into hold. i also love how he's kept the x-force from most of the others, and how it's all coming out now. kyle is an excellent writer.
the beginning was awesome, having cable and hope appear in that rubble.

Cyclops' commanding skills were on point in Uncanny 523.

Cyclops' commanding skills were on point in Uncanny 523. Yeah, I love how he took charge of the Nightcrawler situation, respected his frustration, but was still a leader. Very well written. Other bits I love...Hope actually getting to be a girl instead of a soldier (she is human, after all), the vibrant artwork, and the direction the New Mutants are taking, which is very logical.

New Mutants has been my favorite issue of this arc so far. Anyone else check it out? My problem is that my comic shop is about a 45 minute drive away, and considering it's a slow week for me (only 2 comics, I think), I'm forced to wait a week or two. But it's driving me crazy. I want to read it NOW.

Legacy 235 was a great read, on par with New Mutants, I thought. This event is a winner so far.

I want to read it NOW. Hope you have it on subscription cuz my shop sold out in minutes. Surprisingly enough, my shop was filled with New Mutants a week later. Picked that up and X-Men Legacy to get caught up. Another great, fast paced issue...it all feels non-stop and I love it. Very creative, what they're doing with Rogue. Of course, I hate Greg Land. The tracing wouldn't bother me as much if all his women didn't have the same seductive expression. Or if everyone didn't pose all the time. Like when Wolverine sneaks up from behind, Rogue is in the background, chillin' against a wall. Really? I did enjoy him drawing Warlock though, just to see him try something different. Also, did Karma lose a leg? It was hard to tell. It's fairly obvious who's going to go next issue, unless they decide to swerve us. I am disappointed at the lack of Iceman and Professor X, considering their history in this ground-breaking X-Men event, but it's a great story so I can't complain.

Does anybody else think marvel should make the Hope Trilogy an anime movie. This has been some of the best stuff marvel has been coming up with.

i feel that basically any major marvel arc recently should be animated, starting with the superhuman registration act.
