Jesus Christ, the art in X-force 26 is gorgeous. Great writing, too.
The.. uh... moment that everyone saw coming was done really well.
Bastion is pretty badass, too.

i feel that basically any major marvel arc recently should be animated, starting with the superhuman registration act. I feel the same way, but I'd start with the House of M. Jesus Christ, the art in X-force 26 is gorgeous. Great writing, too. The.. uh... moment that everyone saw coming was done really well. Bastion is pretty badass, too. YES. The artwork was just incredible. And the build up to the death scene was just epic, and really felt like a true comic book hero moment. And so ends Act 1, and it really FEELS like act 1 ended, which I love. I'd imagine Uncanny next week will slow the pace down, and rightfully so...but I'm excited for Hellbound 1 too. Speaking of, special mention to the tight writing that shows that Colossus is still wanting to go after his sister and hasn't forgotten her. This may be four weeks to us, but this is still all within an hour or so for the X-Men.

I anticipate the hell that Wolverine will unleash over this. Seriously. He was pissed that Cyke threw X-23 into X-Force...he's gonna be piiiiiiissed about this one. PHENOMENAL artwork too, of when he realized who died.

Finally caught up, I couldn't find chapters 3 and 4 anywhere so I had to get them somewhere else. Holy ing crap X-Force 26 was ing amazing. I loved the art, it just looked gorgeous and not cartooney, I also really liked the writing. I'm kinda really sad that Kurt died since I've always loved him since I first saw him in the original animated series so him being gone was a huge bummer. But I would have to say my favorite part of this whole issue and maybe one of my favorite scenes in any comic was when Wolverine finds out and just the look on his face, and the scene where Kurt dies and says he believes in Hope. After that issue I really can't wait to see what is going to happen next.

I felt that Uncanny 524 dragged the quality of the event down a bit, but Hellbound was pretty good.

I felt that Uncanny 524 dragged the quality of the event down a bit, but Hellbound was pretty good. I really liked it. You knew they had to take a breather after the non-stop first act. This allowed for some character development. Fraction writes a great Magneto and his short interaction with Hope was no exception. It was good to see Professor X and Storm make appearances. Like most people, I'm not a big fan of how Beast was handled, but the way Wolverine reacted more than made up for it. That panel where everyone went back inside and Wolverine is still standing over Kurt's body was brilliant. Hellbound was a fine comic, too. They're really pushing Cannonball as a leader, which is nice to see. Enjoyed everyone's reactions to saving Magik, as well as the New X-Men comment that Cannonball made. And of course, it's bringing Gambit into an arc, which I'm all for. Oh yeah, I forgot. I'm glad they remembered that Bobby Drake used to be a pretty important X-Men teammate. I also disliked trying to figure out which member was which member. At the beginning, I would have sworn it was Magik standing around Nightcrawler. I'm assuming one was Dazzler, don't know the other blonde.

I thought Uncanny X-Men wasn't horrible, I liked Fractions writing, I enjoyed the whole scene with Magento and Hope (glad they kinda touched on Kitty Pride too). Can't wait to see how Bastions plan turns out. The whole funereal scene was pretty good, didn't like the weird thing with Beast, I liked how they had the different people saying things about Kurt, and I loooooved the scene with Logan which was probably my favorite scene in this comic. I'm glad the story is kinda taking a break from all the crazy crap that has happened in the past 5 books. The one thing I just can't get over in this comic and pissed me off the most was on the second page when everyone is standing over Kurt, and Kurt just looks stupid and it kinda pisses me off that it looks so bad.
I read Hellbound too, I'm glad they are finally going back to what happened with Magik. I liked when Cannonball was trying to recruit everyone and it wasn't like a thing where everyone wanted to go and I liked their comments about Magik. Overall it was a good comic, I do kinda feel like Gambit was a bit out of place with all of these younger characters but I hope this turns out to be a pretty cool mini-series.

Another solid issue. Didn't like how differently Beast was portrayed from the last issue to this one, but c'est la vie, different writers and all. Good to see him sticking around though.
And HELL YES for Namor finally getting some action in. IMPERIUS REX~!!!

This. I missed last week so I had a lot to get caught up on, but the ending to X-Force gave me chills. Poor Hellion. Oh yeah, and I love all the X-Men working together. It's great to see Iceman get in the action, and more Namor.

Caught up on the last 3 chapters, they were all really good. I didn't expect the comic to go into this whole sphere direction. And X-Force 23 was amazing, I loved the art, the action sequence in the first few pages was awesome and what happens at the end was really cool and I can't wait for chapter 10.

Great issue of Uncanny. Surprised Archangel flipped out over what happened. Calm down, dude. What did you think would be there? I love watching Cable basically lead the X-Force, too.
LOVED Hellbound 2, also. But that's the Gambit mark in me talking. Have to imagine it's pretty obvious where the Pixie-Magik storyline is going, but it should be a good way to wrap up their feud/saga.

Hellbound has been the best of the Second Coming story. Finally Gambit is getting some comic time. For a character that is so loved, he gets SO LITTLE comic time. Cant wait to see whats going to happen with everyone in Limbo and if the X-Men will be able to bring Gambit back and suppress Death.

I didn't read New Mutants yet, but I saw the last page...and it's going to be up there with my favorite pages of all time.

So, I'm still loving Second Coming. But something irked the hell out of me. Greg Land really isn't anyone's favorite artist. I'm able to look the other way more times than not. But what the hell! There are way too many times where he uses long hair to shadow over faces so he doesn't have to draw them. There's a rendition of Hope on one page, where her hair doesn't hide her face...and all you see is a ing black oval where a face should be. That's just ridiculously lazy and inexcusable, and for something as big as this event, it really bothers me. On the other side of the spectrum, Magneto is the most bad ass character in Marvel comics. Ever.

I finally finished Uncanny 525 which was good, not a lot happened but I can't wait to see what is up with Hope.
And Hellbound 2, I didn't think Gambit could get any more lame than he was already but I was proved wrong with the whole "Death" thing. Also I just feel like in a 3 issue story arc that they didn't need to introduce this and it should just have been about saving Magik.

Damn. X-Force 28 was INTENSE.
I really did enjoy it. The only change I would have made is, the flashback scene would have worked better at the beginning of the story. Still, minor complaint. The dark tone was just perfect for everything. I loved the final scene with Wolverine and Cyclops assisting Hope. I mean they give Cyclops a lot of grief for being a leader and not a fighter but when it came time to protect Hope, he was right on the front line defending her.
It looks like Second Coming 2 will be more of an epilogue than anything but I'm still very interested in seeing what happens.

Wow I didn't know how far behind I actually was, I totally missed 11 and 12 so I had to go back and catch up on those.
Anyways on the subject of 28, it was really really good, and it kinda makes me wish that Craig Kyle just wrote the whole series. I didn't know there was going to be another death in this issue or if there was that I kinda almost thought it was going to be Magneto and that death at the end made me sad because I've always had a soft spot for that character. Also Hope using her powers was pretty awesome.
