I'll have to go look that up and see, I only seen the one of him thanking the fans, congratulating Frankie, and promoting his book tour(which I wish was coming to Houston damn it) Putting all personal bias aside(since BJ's my favorite fighter), I think Frankie did a hell of a job and showed up the entire LW division tonight, I stand by my opinion that it wasn't the right decision, but if Penn's gonna be humble about it, then I'll have to shut up and be too. haha So tell Frankie congrats from me and tell him I look forward to seeing his future fights. This sort of actually reminds me of Penn/Hughes I, when BJ was the underdog and nobody expected him to show up Hughes, but he did, and got his first title win. Except Edgar didn't have the hilarious "DAMN IT!" moment Penn did afterwards.

BJ didn't look good at all. Like he was getting over a cold or not in the right frame of mind. Not excuses but just an observation when he stepped in the cage. Frankie put on a great performance and I think his game plan was to wear BJ's cardio down with the constant footwork and movement. I had BJ 3 rounds but I see why the judges gave it to Edgar. Maia did a great job at hanging in there and not falling for Silva's counter striking games. Very interested to see what Anderson does next. And it would be funny as hell if Dana put his next fight on the undercard.

Can't blame Dana for being totally pissed at Silva. Disgraceful.

Can't blame Dana for being totally pissed at Silva. Disgraceful. Definately. The first two rounds were comical, but he could've and should've "Forest Griffin'd" him at any point beyond that. I will say this. Silva said that he wanted to punish Maia for disrespecting him, and he did that. Maia didn't even look like an MMA fighter last night. Just some guy with gloves and shorts on. But like Dana said, if he wanted to make him pay, he should've been Mike Tyson and KO'd him from the start. Absolutey no reason why that fight should've lasted all five rounds. NONE. Also, Phil Davis should've won Sub of the night. Can't wait to see him face some UFC contenders.

Anderson Silva is the biggest prick in MMA. Bigger than anyother Chocolate Sharktalker out there: Mir, Lesnar, Sonnen, Bisping, you name it.
That was just fvcking uncalled for.
And afterwards to go back to speaking port. when he can obviously speak semi-fluid english. . . fvcking weak and cowardly. He's gonna get what's coming to him.
Also, why didn't Buffer call out the scores? Was it also in response to Silva being a b!tchd!ckdouchepvssyf@ggotazzhole? From Hetfields sig it looks like Merg was also p!zzed at him. Did Maia win rounds 4 & 5?

Yeah man. I certainly ate a great big piece of humble pie last night when I said that if either the Silva/Maia and Penn/Edgar fights would go past the 2nd round, I would be extremely surprised. Meaning, I thought both Penn and Silva would win at some point no later than the 2nd round in dominating fashion. Well, I wrong on both accounts and most definitely in the Penn/Edgar fight!! I couldn't believe he beat Penn. I totally agree with the decision, there's no doubt about that. He certainly won the fight and HUGE congrats go out to him, BIG TIME!! Just when we all thought that there wasn't ANY fighter in the UFC that could beat Penn at Lightweight, Frankie Edgar comes along and proves us all wrong!! I loved it. I think he'll make a great champion. As for Anderson Silva, the first 2 rounds were awesome. I loved them. Everything after that and mid-way through the 3rd, it ing sucked. He sort of fizzed out and kept circling the whole time. I'm sure if he REALLY wanted to, Silva could've finished it sometime in the 2nd for sure. I do not blame Dana White for being pissed at all. Why that fight went all 5 rounds is a mystery to me. Silva could've finished him in the 2nd. I would love to see Dana White punish him and send his ass to the undercard, just as a learning lesson to set an example. PLus, I love Hetfields sig where referee Dan Miragliotta doesn't wait for Silva to get his shirt on the whole way and barely raises his arm and walks away. That was great. Also, Matt Hughes deserves a ton of props as well for just schooling Renzo Gracie. He beat the crap out of him all 3 rounds and ended up finishing him. He looked better than ever last night. A great performance for sure. All in all, I thought the fights were great, minus the main event. Another poor performance from Anderson Silva. I think it's time to punish him and put him on the undercard if he's going to put on performances like that.

first of all good for frankie edgar he deserves it. he fought a great fight. the anderson silva fight was so boring i think dana hit the nail right on the head saying that he spends to much time showboating when he just really needs to finish the fight.

All in all, I don't think this matters anymore. Everyone KNOWS Silva could have beaten him at any time, but that stuff that we saw was just... really uncalled for. I mean, why do that?
I don't mean to bring him up, because he has nothing to do with this, but if this was Fedor fighting some crafty BJJ guy, he would have jumped right in the guard right away. That's one thing people need to consider when they put Fedor in the P4P rankings. Say what you will about Fedor's fighting schedule lately, but everyone has to admit that he ALWAYS comes to fight no matter what the opponents strengths are. I remember when he fought Nogueira the first time. I was CONVINCED that if it went to the ground, Nogueira would finish him. I also never thought for a second it would go to the ground, and what happens? Fedor TAKES HIM DOWN, and controls the fight there.
Silva could have finished and/or taken the fight on the ground if he really wanted to, but for whatever reason, he did not.

I'm just surprised that people are dwelling more on Silva's ***hole tactics more than the Penn/Edgar decision tbh.

I'm gonna have to agree that Silva's "clowning game" is gonna catchup to him sooner than later.
And frankly if anyone deserved to be taken down a huge notch at 112, hook or by crook, it was Silva, not Penn.
I'd love to see Dana throw his smartass on the prelims card.

I'm just surprised that people are dwelling more on Silva's ***hole tactics more than the Penn/Edgar decision tbh. Because clearly some of that was BJ's fault. He never even once tried to take things to the ground, even after his corner directly told him to. He took Ken-Flo down at will and ended it on the ground, and he could have done the same thing to Edgar. For some reason he was content to stay on his feet and get outmaneuvered by Frankie. Some people are saying he was injured or not in the right state of mind, and I'll kinda buy that. There has to be some reason he just stood up and took it.

When Herb Dean asks for the towel, you give him the damn towel. On another note, Silva's antics were awesome, hilarious... yet highly disrespectful, all at the same time.

Yes, making an already lackluster PPV even worse is "hilarious" and "awesome." He came off as a complete unprofessional last night. Silva standing there, pointing to the middle of the octagon telling Maia to exchange is the same as if Maia layed down and told Silva to come into his guard. The only difference is Maia will get stood up, while Silva dances like a complete fool. Last night only solidified my reasons as to why Anderson Silva is one of my least favorite fighters. Right up there with Rashad Evans.
