The lack of Twisted Metal mentions surprises me, I loved those games! Also GTA: San Andreas... by far the best in the GTA series.

Shenmue, had a awesome storyline, kept me hooked throughout. I remember getting it one Christmas, and taking a whole week off school 'ill', just to play it.
