The Return of Extreme RulesSeptember 11, 2007 A video airs and it recapping ECW Heavyweight Champion Muhammad Hassan running the handicap gauntlet. It concludes with the huge announcement that Sabu will challenge “The Anti-Christ” for the gold at Hostile City Showdown! “Let the bodies hit the floor…” Pyrotechnics light up tonight’s arena live from Minneapolis, Minnesota! The crowd seems euphoric for what should be an action filled ninety minutes of Extreme Championship Wrestling. For well over a year now ECW has been the highest rated episodic television show on Sci-Fi! Tonight, the ECW Heavyweight Champion, Muhammad Hassan, will address Sabu about their title match at Hostile City Showdown! Also, Raven is in attendance tonight and has promised to confront Rob Van Dam. Rhyno is also in action tonight, Extreme Rules also returns, as Jack Swagger takes on the “Innovator of Violence” Tommy Dreamer! The ECW Heavyweight Champion, “The Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan makes his eerie entrance, and is handed a microphone in the ring. He praises himself for being the very best at what he does. He says that there is no one that can stop him. He warns Sabu that although he is “Homicidal, suicidal, and genocidal” he cannot defeat the greatest power in professional wrestling. He offers Sabu to walk with him to the brighter light, and to join the “Anti-Christ.” Suddenly, the lights go off and when they come back on Sabu is in the ring. Sabu has a chair in his hand, and Hassan seems uneasy about what is about to happen. Sabu throws his chair at Hassan’s head, who quickly falls out of the ring. Sabu sets the chair up in the ring as Hassan is dazed on the outside. Sabu runs, jumps on the chair, onto the ropes, and dives onto the ECW Heavyweight Champion. Sabu quickly reaches under the ring and pulls out a folding table! He sets up the table, and places Hassan on it. Sabu climbs back into the ring, and is looking for the Arabian Facebuster; however, Hassan moves out of the way and Sabu goes crashing through the table. Hassan quickly pounces on Sabu and pulls out a spike out of his boot. He takes a nasty stab at Sabu’s forehead and busts him open badly. He picks up Sabu and throws him in the ring. Hassan levels Sabu with the Calling. He then takes his hand, whips the blood off Sabu’s forehead, and whips it over his body. Hassan leaves with the title, as Sabu makes it back to his feet in the ring. Sabu points to Hassan showing him that this is far from over. Hassan has confidence in his eyes and he does a cut-throat taunt. _________ A video recap airs recapping the vicious brawl from just moments ago. John ‘Bradshaw” Layfield is shown in his office extremely distressed over the situation. He is yelling at Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins, and the duo look upset that they are Layfield’s punching bag. Opening Contest: The Full Blooded Italians – Little Guido & Tony Mamaluke w/ Trinity versus the Tag Team of London & Kendrick – Paul London & Brian Kendrick The Full Blooded Italians are one of the most experienced tag teams on the entire roster. These two men were the first to hold the ECW Tag Team Championships when they were reincarnated. London and Kendrick are coming over a lose at SummerSlam to A New Breed, but are still considered top contenders for the belt; therefore, the FBI are really out to make a point that they deserve a title shot. During the match ECW Tag Team Champions, A New Breed, made their way to ringside. This contest was actually a great example of why the tag division in ECW is so successful. These four men have tremendous chemistry in the ring, and tore the house down! In the end, Paul London is able to put Tony Mamaluke down for the three, after he hit a nasty Swinging Neckbreaker off the middle rope! Winners: The Tag Team of London & Kendrick – Paul London & Brian Kendrick The match ended via pinfall at 10:30 AA New Breed is sarcastically applauding their adversary’s victory when suddenly London and Kendrick jump over the ropes and dive on the champions! The two teams begin to brawl when the World’s Greatest Tag Team makes their way out to join in the brawl. These three teams are going crazy on one another until dozens of security members rush out to break them up. _________ A video airs and it reviews C.M Punk’s shocking announcement from last week that he is stepping away from the squared circle. In the back, Johnny Nitro is standing by with Matt Morgan. Nitro says that he is headed straight to the top, and he can officially announce that at Hostile City Showdown, Monty Brown will be defending the ECW Television Championship against him! He then introduces Matt Morgan as his new bodyguard and announces with the help of Morgan, no one will ever be able to stop Johnny Nitro! Raven leads the Disciples of Apocalypse to the ring. Raven says that the Disciples of Apocalypse are stronger than ever and soon they will dominant all of ECW. He instantly begins to attack Rob Van Dam and says that Van Dam has always gotten things handed to him. He claims he is greedy, and he must pay for his sins. This causes Rob Van Dam to makes his way out to the ring. Van Dam says that nothing is ever handed to him, and he has fought and earned everything he has ever achieved! He says that he doesn’t truly understand Raven’s issue with him; however, he will certainly beat some sense into him. Raven reminds Van Dam of the beating the Disciples of Apocalypse gave him two weeks ago. Van Dam says he hasn’t forgotten, and that is why tonight he wants to face “Killdozer” Brian Lee and Kevin Thorne in a tag team match. Raven asks who Van Dam’s partner will be, and he responds that he will find out later tonight. --------- Back in John “Bradshaw” Layfield’s office, the World’s Greatest Tag Team storm in. They demand a Tag Team Championship match at Hostile City Showdown. Layfield says it is almost funny, because the duo is going to get a shot at the titles, but it will be next week! Layfield says he has bigger things planned for Hostile City Showdown concerning the ECW Tag Team Championships. Match Two: Rhyno versus Doug Harris Rhyno is currently feuding with Masato Tanaka. Tonight, Rhyno is facing off against local independent star Doug Harris for what should be a top notch squash match. Rhyno is quickly dominating Harris with all of his traditional moves. Rhyno is looking to hit the Gore, when Tanaka sneaks in the ring behind Rhyno. Rhyno is edging closer to Harris to hit the Gore and Tanaka is moving into position to attack. Suddenly, Rhyno flips around and nails Tanaka with the Gore! No Contest The match ended via interference at 2:45 N/ATanaka quickly rolls out of the ring and proceeds up the ring as Rhyno taunts in the ring. Tonight, Rhyno has won the battle; however, the war is far from over! ---------- In the back, “Beautiful” Danny Doring is standing by, marking his first appearance in several weeks. Doring says he is back and more beautiful than ever. He says that he is going straight to the top of Extreme Championship Wrestling and he is once again here to add beauty to this vile federation. Match Three: Jack Swagger versus “Innovator of Violence” Tommy Dreamer Extreme Rules These two men started feuding two weeks ago when Jack Swagger defeated Tommy Dreamer clean in a match. Last week, Tommy Dreamer challenged Jack Swagger to an Extreme Rules, which Swagger accepted; however, as Dreamer was leaving last week, Swagger attacked Dreamer and hit a Gut-Wrench Powerbomb onto the hood of a car. No one is expecting Tommy Dreamer to be 100% tonight, but he shows no signs of weakness. These two have tremendous chemistry in the ring and put on one of the best Extreme Rules in recent memory. This match definitely carries a traditional ECW feel to it, which is always nice. Jack Swagger takes an early command as he really uses weaponry to his advantages. He beats Dreamer down with canes, a pipe, a trash can, chairs and other things. Swagger drops Tommy Dreamer on top of the steps as we cut to commercial break. ---------- When we come back, Jack Swagger is still in control. Swagger is looking to hit the Gut-Wrench Powerbomb, however, Dreamer slips out and nails a nasty low blow! Dreamer starts taking wild punches and he is now back in this match. Swagger takes a nasty chair shot, and is on the receiving end of many weapon shots. Eventually, Dreamer hits a nasty DDT onto a steel chair! Dreamer slides a table into the ring and erects it, before trying to fetch Jack Swagger; however, Swagger is back to his senses and blasts Tommy Dreamer with a hammer! Swagger throws Dreamer back into the ring and taunts a Gut-Wrench Powerbomb through the table; however, Swagger drops Dreamer and slides back to the outside. Swagger finds an ECW favorite, the board covered in barbwire. Swagger slips the board into the ring and carefully places it on top of the table. He impressive everyone when he picks Dreamer up and is able to lift him onto the top rope. Swagger climbs the ropes and is looking for a Super Gut-Wrench Powerbomb; however, a bloody dreamer starts to fight out of the hold. Dreamer stuns the crowd when he pushes Swagger off the top rope and he crashes through the barbwire covered table! Swagger is screaming in pain as Dreamer plunges off the top rope with a huge leg drop! Dreamer hooks the leg and is able to get the one-two-three! Winner: “Innovator of Violence” Tommy Dreamer The match ended via pinfall at 20:45 ATommy Dreamer is a bloody mess as he slowly makes his way to the back. Meanwhile, medical staff is checking on Jack Swagger in the ring. ---------- ECW Television Champion Monty Brown is standing in the back. He tears apart Johnny Nitro and says at Hostile City Showdown, he will once again fall to the hands of the Alpha Male! Brown says he is here to be the best, and no one is going to stop him. Suddenly, the ECW Tag Team Champions walk into the sight of the camera and say that next week, the World’s Greatest Tag Team will find out why for nine months A New Breed has been ECW Tag Team Champions! Burke says that whatever Layfield has planned for Hostile City Showdown better be something huge, because A New Breed will be looking for some serious competition. Once again a video airs and it recaps the events that kicked off tonight’s program. Joey Styles than gives us a report that Sabu needed stitches in the forehead to close his gash. Tazz talks about his history with Sabu and says that he is one tough guy, and Hassan is in for a beatin’ because Sabu is now more homicidal, suicidal, and genocidal than ever before! Justin Credible is in the back. He says that he took the last few weeks off to heal some nagging injuries; however, he is back and better than ever. He shows the fans the Money in the Bank Briefcase and reminds us that he will soon be ECW Heavyweight Champion. Suddenly, D.H Smith appears and tells Credible to put his money where his mouth is. Credible smirks and tells Smith to meet him in the ring next week. ---------- Main Event: The Disciples of Apocalypse – “Killdozer” Brian Lee & Kevin Thorne w/ Raven & Daffney versus Rob Van Dam & Yoshihiro TajiriThe crowd was thrilled to see the return of Tajiri. Tajiri has been overseas for the last couple of months, and one would expect this is only a one time appearance; regardless, Rob Van Dam could definitely not have found a better partner. These four men actually put on a stellar match. Raven plays a major part in this match and interferes often; however, Tajiri eventually stops him when he nails him with the green mist in the eyes! Meanwhile, Van Dam is able to put Lee away with a Five Star Frog Splash! Winners: Rob Van Dam & Yoshihiro Tajiri The match ended via pinfall at 12:34 B+ Raven and the Disciples quickly march up the ramp humiliated, but promising revenge. We quickly cut to the back where we see Sabu assaulting Muhammad Hassan in a corridor. Hassan is busted open and Sabu does not seem like he is going to stop. Sabu throws Hassan on a table, grabs a chair and nails an Arabian Facebuster causing both of them to crash through the table. Sabu has equaled the score as we fade to black!

The Extreme Report ~ Jacob Jimenez
The Sabu and Muhammad Hassan feud is actually winning over a lot of the same people who criticized the idea last week. They feel the angle has an intense feel to it, and that is something most feuds are lacking.
It is unclear at the moment where the Raven and Rob Van Dam feud is header; however, expected a match at Hostile City Showdown!
Tajiri is not expected to be on ECW for several more months, as this was a one-off appearance.
Jack Swagger won a lot of people over with his impressive barbwire spot in his Extreme Rules match against Tommy Dreamer. These two men are expected to feud into Hostile City Showdown!
D.H Smith and Justin Credible were originally penciled in to face off last night in a match; however, Jack Swagger needed immediate medical attention in the ring, and this resulted in a quick change of plans. Paul Heyman was "very panicked" over the situation, but was able to fill in the rest of the time.
Justin Credible is expected to drop the Money in the Bank Briefcase as he is not getting over like originally planned.
The duo of Matt Morgan and Johnny Nitro should be fun to watch over the next few months as they are expected to become major stars.
ECW on Sci-Fi is in search of an official new theme song. It will be fun to see what it turns out to be.
Vince McMahon is still searching for a new development territory.

- Sabu and Hassan should be pretty interesting. Brutal opening. - Fine with Londrick winning, the FBI is good in my book - but Londrick is better. - Tanaka costing Rhyno from getting momentum in the squash is great. - Happy to see Tommy Dreamer win in his own game. - RVD and Tajiri getting the win I am fine with - ECW originals ftw. - Sabu getting vengeance on Hassan backstage is great to see.
Good show.

-Can't wait to see Hostile Showdown when Sabu takes on the "Anti-Christ" Muhammad Hassan. Very hardcore opening. -I predicted for Londrick to win. Glad you did it. -In this condition, I liked the No Contest. Tanaka is surely getting a good push. Hope he's ECW Champion in like mid-late-2008. -Like M.L Dude said, like to see Dreamer win. Swagger really put up a great fight though. Hope this rivalry continues. -Yay! R.V.D and Tajiri won. So glad they did I was pulling for them. Sad for Tajiri to leave due to his off-appearance. -Loved the ending. Sabu getting revenge was awesome. Still hope Hassan retains at Hostile though.
-Thanks for the replies to my shows. Just wanted to pay you back. Good show.

ECW on Sci-Fi: Tuesday 11th September 2007...Yikes, sixth anniversary of 9/11 with the Muslim Muhammad Hassan as ECW World Heavyweight Champion...this should be edgy...Decent promo to start things off, with Sabu and Hassan two foreigners echanging in a vicious mix of hardcore action in the opening promo. I expect a feud to span out of this; and it's going well thus far. But the fact this is on 9/11 makes me slightly not so sure whether it's a good idea. Anyways, decent opening tag team bout with Paul London and Brian Kendrick defeating the Full Blooded Italians. Not a bad match there; went pretty well and I wouldn't mind an ECW World Tag Team Championships push for London and Kendrick, as they deserved them. Just pleased don't give London and Kendrick a nickname. The Disciples of the Apocalypse though, their promo was very badass and it went very smoothly against Rob Van Dam. I anticipate what to occur next. Doug Harris is enhancement; so obviously Rhyno would win. Interference from Masato Tanaka though; I love that. Very nice twist to a filler part of the show [from the casual viewer's perspective]. Solid Extreme Rules bout between Jack Swagger and Tommy Dreamer; went very well and it was pretty good at that though twenty minutes seems slightly too long from where I stand. Lastly, wow, Yoshihiro Tajiri teaming with Rob Van Dam to face the Disciples of the Apocalypse was good. A decent show overall.

ECW on Sci-Fi September 18, 2007
- We are one week closer to Hostile City Showdown! Last week’s edition of ECW on Sci-Fi ended with Sabu crashing Hassan and himself through a table. How will the ECW Heavyweight Champion respond this week? Will Sabu have consequences to face from the “Anti-Christ” or yet can anyone stop the momentum of the homicidal, suicidal, genocidal Sabu?
- John “Bradshaw” Layfield has promised us a main event for the ages. A New Breed will defend the ECW Tag Team Championships against the World’s Greatest Tag Team! What will happen when these two adversaries meet in the ring for the first time with the straps on the line? Will Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin finally be able to be the team to put a stop to A New Breed’s nine month title reign?
- Also, Justin Credible returned last week after a few week absence and was confronted by D.H Smith. Tonight, these two men will meet in the ring. Will the Money in the Bank briefcase holder be able to once again prove why he is one of the very best? Or will the new blood put a stop on the veteran?
- Catch all this and more when your favorite Extremists roll into Atlanta for ECW on Sci-Fi!

- nicely done opening segment with Sabu/Hassan I thought - I cant complain with London/Kendrick picking up wins, really. - Having Morgan as Nitro’s bodyguard is a fine idea. - Enjoyed the Dreamer/Swagger match. Seemed like a nice hardcore match. Not surprised that Dreamer won as I don’t think you are wanting to kill him off. - Cool to see Tajiri is back and not surprised at all that he and RVD won. - nice ending so that Sabu gets some momentum in the feud.

The Golden FlairSeptember 18, 2007 A video airs showing clips on Jack Swagger taking on Tommy Dreamer under Extreme Rules, and the brutal brawls between Sabu and ECW Heavyweight Champion, “Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan. “Let the bodies hit the floor…” Pyrotechnics light up tonight’s arena live from Atlanta. Georgia! The crowd seems euphoric for what should be an action filled ninety minutes of Extreme Championship Wrestling. For well over a year now ECW has been the highest rated episodic television show on Sci-Fi! Tonight, the ECW Tag Team Championships are on the line, as A New Breed defends against the World’s Greatest Tag Team! Also, Mr. Money in the Bank, Justin Credible, will face off against D.H Smith. And let us not forget, the ECW Heavyweight Champion will also be in the arena tonight! In John “Bradshaw” Layfield’s office, Rob Van Dam is lounging on a couch. Van Dam says that he is sick and tired on dealing with Raven, and on more than one occasion he has beaten his mind games. Continuing, he says that he is Mr. Tuesday Night and concludes that he should get an ECW Heavyweight Championship match tonight! Once Van Dam is done Layfield lets out a laugh. He says that Van Dam waits in line for a title shot just like everyone else. Additionally, he says that he has yet to see Van Dam pin Raven clean in the ring. He says that if Rob can go out tonight and defeat Raven, then maybe a title shot is in order. He orders Van Dam to get ready and wishes him good luck. Just when Layfield is about to relax, Rhyno comes storming he. Rhyno says he is furious that Layfield has not yet booked him a match against Masato Tanaka. Layfield seems angry at Rhyno, and says that tonight if he wins his match, than at Hostile City Showdown Masato Tanaka is all his! Rhyno seems happy as he leaves. Once again Layfield is about to relax, when suddenly C.M Punk walks in… Opening Contest: “Beautiful” Danny Doring versus Monty Brown “Beautiful” Danny Doring has been doing rather well for himself in ECW ever since dropping Roadkill as a partner around April on this year; however, Doring’s momentum has been on a decline ever since losing in the ECW Television Championship Tournament. Of course, the man who could be thanked for that loss of momentum is ECW Television Champion Monty Brown. Brown has been dominating through the ranks since his arrival following Wrestlemania. Of course, Brown is now feuding with Johnny Nitro who is at ringside doing commentary for this match. As expected, Nitro’s bodyguard, Matt Morgan is also at ringside, and things have the potential to heat up quickly. This is a rather competitive match because Danny Doring is far from being a jobber. He actually gives the ECW Television Champion a run for his money at several points, but in the end he is unable to prevail. Monty Brown picks up another impressive victory over Doring when he is able to lay him out with the Pounce! Winner: Monty Brown The match ended at 6:42 via pinfall CMonty Brown is handed his championship as he celebrates his victory. Nitro and Morgan begin to approach the ring and Brown quickly goes on the defensive, eyeing up both men. Nitro crawls up the apron, causing Brown to try and attack; however, this gives Morgan the opportunity to get in the ring and nail Brown with a nasty Ax Kick! Nitro hits the ring and starts pounding away at the champion. Nitro is able to hit an exclamation point when he nails the Standing Shooting Star Press! Nitro picks up the belt and stands tall with Morgan above the body of Monty Brown. ---------- John “Bradshaw” Layfield is shown in his office talking to C.M Punk. Layfield wants to know when Punk will be ready to step back into the ring. Punk says he was not joking when he said that as long as he knows he cannot defeat Muhammad Hassan, he will never be back in the squared circle. Tommy Dreamer is in the back and stitched up from his vicious Extreme Rules match that took place last week. Dreamer says that he showed Jack Swagger last week exactly why he is the innovator of violence. He continues by praying that Swagger finally got some respect knocked into him. He announces that Jack is not here tonight, but when he returns he would love for them to go head to head again in a respectful match. Match Two: Justin Credible versus D.H Smith Justin Credible is the current holder of the Money in the Bank Briefcase. At one point, Credible was a prominent force in ECW; however, that momentum has since vanished. Smith seems to be a promising young star, and he certainly got his father’s genes as he is a talented rookie. These two put on a decent match, but the crowd was not into this one at all. Smith really worked hard to impress everyone and he was rather successful in doing so. Credible used his experience to his advantage to really keep control throughout most of this match; however, D.H was still able to pick up the victory after he caught Justin with a nasty Powerslam out of nowhere. Winner: D.H Smith The match ended at 5:11 via pinfall CD.H Smith celebrates his victory in the ring and is generating a decent crowd reaction. His celebration is cut off to the viewing audience by a graphic that hypes tonight’s ECW Tag Team Championship main event. A second graphic airs that promotes Rob Van Dam versus Raven…NEXT! ---------- Back in John “Bradshaw” Layfield’s office, C.M Punk is not asking for John to understand why he is going into retirement. Layfield than makes a surprising offer as he asks Punk if he will step into the ring next week for one last shot at the ECW Heavyweight Championship. Match Three: Rob Van Dam versus Raven w/ the Disciples of Apocalypse - “Killdozer” Brian Lee, Kevin Throne & Daffney Rob Van Dam and Raven are currently feuding as both men want to get noticed to receive a shot at the ECW Heavyweight Championship. Rob Van Dam claims that he has defeated Raven’s mind games time and time again; however, that is debatable. Neither man has claimed a clean victory over the other. These two alumni wok very well in the ring and the crowd reacts to every move. Rob Van Dam is very offensive in this match, and Raven perfectly plays defense. It should come as no surprise that D.O.A play a major role in this one though. The turning point in the match comes when Daffney is able to distract the referee and RVD, allowing Brian Lee the opportunity to give Raven a chain. Raven takes the chain, wraps it around his fist, and clocks Van Dam in the back on the head. Raven tosses the chain to the outside, takes the cover and gets the win. Winner: Raven The match ended at 11:23 via pinfall B+ After the match, the Disciples enter the ring to start a brutal attack. Raven is handed his chain once again and viciously attacks Van Dam, busting him open. Thorne and Lee both hit their respective finishers on Van Dam, before the most heinous act occurs. Raven takes his chain, wraps it around Van Dam’s throat, and throws him over the top rope! Van Dam is hanging by the chain helplessly as officials rush out to stop the madman that is Raven. Raven releases the chain and Van Dam falls to the floor. Raven does his signature taunt as medics rush out to check on the fallen hero. ----------- A video shows recapping Raven hanging Rob Van Dam! Joey Styles informs us that Van Dam is being rushed to the local hospital. C.M Punk and John “Bradshaw” Layfield are once again shown in the General Manager’s office. Layfield is still trying to get Punk to step back into the ring, but Punk declines. He asks for the chance to go out next week and officially mark his retirement. The ECW Heavyweight Champion, “Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan slowly makes his way to the ring to a heated crowd reaction. HE enters the ring and is handed a microphone. He says that Sabu once had the offer of aligning himself with Hassan, and together the two would have been able to rule as a Superpower; however, now Sabu has written himself to death. Hassan says that Sabu will be used as a perfect example of why all should conform to the Anti-Christ! Suddenly, the lights go out and when they come back on Sabu is standing on the top rope with a chair. Hassan turns around and Sabu throws the chair, but Hassan is able to duck and rolls out of the ring. Hassan retreats up the ramp as Sabu does his signature point to the sky taunt. Sabu is really picking up momentum in this feud. ---------- A video recaps the vicious hanging of Rob Van Dam from early. Joey Styles now has an update that Rob Van Dam may have suffered a major injury to his throat; however, doctors have not yet confirmed this. Match Four: Rhyno versus Super Crazy John Layfield has proven he is truly a wicked man. Rhyno must win this match to get a shot at Masato Tanaka at Hostile City Showdown; however, Rhyno wants Tanaka in the ring to prevent him from bullying smaller extremists. This feud started when Rhyno saved Super Crazy from a beat down by the hands of Tanaka. Now Rhyno would have to defeat Super Crazy, which is exactly what he did not want Tanaka to do. Rhyno is at a crossroads, and seems legitimately torn on what to do. Rhyno struggles with his decision and the crowd grows eager. Rhyno looks like he is about to run for a Gore, but suddenly stops, rolls out of the ring and starts walking up the ramp to get counted out, Winner: Super Crazy The match ended at 2:30 via count-out DRhyno stands on top of the ramp for awhile and is really judging his decision. Suddenly, Masato Tanaka comes out and he gets in Rhyno’s face. Security quickly rushes out and separates the two men before something major can go down. Back in John “Bradshaw” Layfield’s office, C.M Punk is now extremely distressed with Layfield. Punk says that he wants to be able to make an official retirement, and when Layfield is ready for him to do that, he knows his number. Punk walks out of John’s office, as Layfield yells for him to come back. ---------- A video airs recapping the heated feud between Sabu and ECW Heavyweight Champion, “Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan. It reminds everyone that at Hostile City Showdown, these two men will be able to go face to face in the ultimate showdown! In the back, Rhyno is shown in the back disappointed as an ECW correspondent races towards him. He asks Rhyno why he would not wrestle Super Crazy. Rhyno goes crazy and slams the correspondent against the wall. He yells “Are you stupid!?” He drops the correspondent and announces one way or another, Masato Tanaka will be his at Hostile City Showdown! A video recaps Raven hanging Rob Van Dam by a chain over the top rope. Joey Styles and Tazz are shown at ringside. Joey Styles says that he has just received a possible update on Rob Van Dam’s condition. He says the early diagnosis is a crushed larynx; however, proper testing has yet to be done to see if this is true. ---------- Main Event: A New Breed – Elijah Burke & Sylvester Terkay w/ Ariel versus the World’s Greatest Tag Team – Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin ECW Tag Team Championship A New Breed and the World’s Greatest Tag Team have a long and bitter rivalry between them; however, this is shockingly the first time these two have face off against one another for the belts! The World’s Greatest Tag Team has promised to defeat A New Breed tonight; however, A New Breed has been able to hold onto the titles for nine months now. These four men have outstanding chemistry in the ring and they easily put on a classic match that will most likely go on to be forgotten. Since this is a championship match, Extreme Rules apply and that is important to keep in mind. These four men are putting on great technical tag team wrestling as we cut to a commercial break. ---------- When we come back from break, Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin are using quick tags to keep Burke grounded. They really gather serious heel heat as they beat down Burke; however, he eventually breaks free and Terkay starts destroying Haas and Benjamin. Terkay is looking strong and is looking to put Haas away when suddenly Benjamin smashes a chair across his back. This causes all hell to break loose as Burke hits the ring and nails Benjamin with the Elijah Express using the chair as a tool to exert extra punishment. These four men are now starting to brawl and it is anyone’s game now, until suddenly the Tag Team of London and Kendrick explode from the back with kendo sticks in hand! London and Kendrick go after Charlie Haas on the outside leaving Benjamin only in the ring with Terkay and Burke. London and Kendrick pick up Haas with a double vertical suplex, and they drop him through the announce table! Meanwhile, in the ring Terkay nails a huge Face Paver to pick up the victory! Winners: A New Breed – Elijah Burke & Sylvester Terkay The match ended at 18:24 via pinfall AAfter the match, the Tag Team of London and Kendrick walk into the ring with the ECW Tag Team Championships, and hand the belts over to A New Breed. The two teams have a heated stare down. A New Breed raises the titles high as London and Kendrick begin to walk up the entrance ramp.

The Extreme Report ~ Jacob Jimenez
"Anti-Christ" Muhammad Hassan is winning over a lot of people up in corporate as they think he is one of the best workers on the roster.
Sabu is also gaining support after he was in the dark light after failing a drug test. Sabu is said to be sober at this time.
The direction of C.M Punk's character is unclear at this time.

ECW on Sci-Fi: Tuesday 18th September 2007...Alright promo to kick things off tonight, but odd for Rob Van Dam to randomly chill in John Bradshaw Layfield's office. Rhyno then storming in is sort of strange. I liked this promo though; shows how difficult the job of JBL as General Manager can get. Monty Brown beating Danny Doring was easily expected. Brown obviously needs to be more dominant, but Doring really needs to get the hell out of ECW. There simply isn't much left for him to be honest and I can't seem to take him seriously. Johnny Nitro and Matt Morgan then attacking the ring was nice, but really this clustered situation in the midcard scene on ECW slightly confuses me, if honest. DH Smith beating Justin Credible gets Smith over, but yes; Credible is another performer that needs to get his ideas up and running. Especially since he has the Money in the Bank briefcase in hand. Rob Van Dam and Raven had a great mid-show main event in a great bout. Not a bad match honestly. Raven winning thanks to the Disciples of the Apocalypse is great for his character, by the way. Muhammad Hassan's promo was pretty neat; but more promos with Hassan and Sabu; these two need to mix it into matches if I'm honest. Rhyno and Super Crazy didn't have that important a match, the count out finish was odd too. Masato Tanaka's interference though; makes things clear. A fantastic ECW World Tag Team Championships main event classic, though I'd have loved it for Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas to beat Elijah Burke and Sylvester Terkay at last; nine months for New Breed to hold the belts is a little too long. A great show overall; very nice.

- Good opening segment, and RVD vs Raven is awesome. - Monty Brown picking up the win was pretty obvious here. - DH Smith getting the win is good, but Credible needs to look Credible. - RVD and Raven had a great match - surprised Raven won, but pleased. - Hassan and Sabu have good promos, but need to get in the ring a bit IMO. - Super Crazy getting the win, even if via countout, is good cause it continues Rhyno/Tanaka. - Burke and Terkay winning was unexpected to be honest, but nonetheless it was a great Main Event. Good ECW.

ECW on Sci-Fi September 25, 2008
Last week on Sci-Fi, fans sat on the edge of their seats as John “Bradshaw” Layfield and C.M Punk had a heated conversation. With the two parties unable to reach an agreement, John Layfield is in a reported foul mood; however, he has promised to kick off tonight’s program with a string of important announcements concerning Hostile City Showdown!
Last week, Rob Van Dam was rushed to the hospital after Raven hung Van Dam by a chain. Joey Styles has an official medical report on Rob Van Dam! Is Van Dam injured? If so, will he ever be able to step back in the ring?
Also announced, Jack Swagger will be back this week and has promised to address Tommy Dreamer. In addition, Monty Brown will be defending the ECW Television Championship!
Catch all this and much more when you tune in for ECW on Sci-Fi!

Building MomentumSeptember 25, 2007 “Let the bodies hit the floor…” Pyrotechnics light up tonight’s arena live from Indianapolis, Indiana! The crowd seems euphoric for what should be an action filled ninety minutes of Extreme Championship Wrestling. For well over a year now ECW has been the highest rated episodic television show on Sci-Fi! Tonight, John “Bradshaw” Layfield has a major string of announcements to make, Rob Van Dam’s medical condition will be revealed, and Monty Brown will defend the ECW Television Championship! John “Bradshaw” Layfield makes his way to the ring to a mixed reaction. Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins are quickly following behind the ticked off General Manager. Layfield is handed a microphone and quickly gets to business. First, he apologizes to the fans on behalf of C.M Punk since Punk has let each and every fan down; however, in the interest on the people, he has agree to give C.M Punk one last moment on spotlight. Next week, C.M Punk will be in the ring to officially announce his retirement. To continue, Layfield addresses the ECW Tag Team Championship situation. He says that last week the World’s Greatest Tag Team was robbed of a fair opportunity to win the titles; however, life is not fair and they will have to deal with that. Yet, there is good news for the duo. Last week, the Tag Team of London and Kendrick proved to Layfield that the ECW Tag Team division is ready to go extreme. Therefore, at Hostile City Showdown it will be A New Breed defending the ECW Tag Team Championships against the World’s Great Tag Team and the Tag Team of London and Kendrick in an elimination tag team tables match! Speaking of Hostile City Showdown, he says that at the event, Justin Credible will be defending his Money in the Bank Briefcase against a to be announced opponent. Layfield does promise that the opponent will be a man that has competed in ECW before, but has not been seen in a very long time. As for tonight, he is making a rematch from last week. It will be Rhyno versus Super Crazy in an Extreme Rules match. Once again, if Rhyno wins he will be granted his wish and will face off against Masato Tanaka at Hostile City Showdown. He continues by saying that if Rhyno once again decides to not fight Super Crazy, Rhyno will be released from his ECW contract. In closure, tonight will also be home to history. For the first time ever, ECW Heavyweight Champion, “Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan, will team with Sabu to face off against the Cabinet! Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins are stunned by this announcement, but Layfield could not seem any less interested. He wishes them good luck and begins to walk away. ---------- COMMERCIAL BREAK ----------The Miz is making his way to the ring with his entourage of seductive woman. In the ring he is handed a microphone and he starts ripping into the Indiana crowd! He claims that they are all jealous of the Miz because he is the “chick magnet” and he is simply “awesome!” To the pleasant surprise of the audience, “Mr. Wrestling” Nick Dinsmore makes his way out to shut the Miz up! Dinsmore says that these people came to see some good ol’ fashion wrestling, and that is what they are going to get! A referee comes running down and we have ourselves a match! Opening Contest: The Miz w/ the Entourage versus “Mr. Wrestling” Nick Dinsmore Dinsmore has not been seen in quite some time, but the crowd is extremely pleased to see him. Both of these men have a bright future ahead and they are both over tonight for their respective positions. Dinsmore keeps control of this match and seems to be trying to teach the Miz. It is good to note that the Miz has improved a lot since his arrival to the company. Dinsmore hit a vicious middle rope gut-buster which impressed the crowd. The turning point in the match came when the Miz was able to hit a low-blow on Dinsmore when the referee was distracted. The Miz quickly follows up with the Reality Check and was able to pick up the upset victory! Winner: The Miz The match ended at 5:43 via pinfall C The Miz, in traditional fashion, celebrates the victory like he just won the World Series! He escapes into the arms of his Entourage as they celebrate their way to the back. In the back John “Bradshaw” Layfield is walking in the back and he is approached by the World’s Greatest Tag Team. Charlie Haas says that he appreciates getting a title shot at Hostile City Showdown, but they should be the ones defending the ECW Tag Team Championships at the event. Haas boldly demands a rematch from last week! Layfield says that he is the one making the calls around here, not Charlie Haas! He makes a match tonight which will pit a member of the World’s Greatest Tag Team versus a representative of the Tag Team of London and Kendrick and A New Breed! ---------- COMMERCIAL BREAK ----------Jack Swagger is shown entering the arena when he is stopped by Josh Matthews. Matthews asks Swagger how he is feeling, but the question goes ignored. Swagger asks where Tommy Dreamer is. Matthews points him in the right direction and Swagger heads off. Match Two: The Cabinet – Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins versus Sabu & “Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan The Cabinet are actually a well-oiled tag team although they do not step into the ring often on television. Obviously, hostility was brewing between the ECW Heavyweight Champion and the number one contender. Sabu works most of the match as Hassan refuses to tag in. Sabu puts on a decent battle against the Cabinet, but in the end it was a two against one battle. Sabu eventually gains the edge and it looks like he is going to put them away when Hassan sneaks a tag in. Hassan hits the ring, nails Ryder with the Calling and picks up the victory. Winners: Sabu & “Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan The match ended at 6:34 via pinfall C+After the match, Sabu quickly turns around into the Calling! The tired Sabu is left on the ground from the deadly finisher as Hassan grabs his belt and heads off. Justin Credible is shown in the back with Josh Matthews. Justin said that Layfield has a lot of nerve to book him in a match at Hostile City Showdown with the Money in the Bank Briefcase on the line; however, he understands that Layfield needs the rating machine on the event. He then starts to rip on D.H Smith and says that last week was a fluke! Joey Styles announces that he has the official medical update on Rob Van Dam and the announcement is NEXT! ---------- COMMERCIAL BREAK ----------Joey Styles is in the ring and the crowd loves it as they chant his name. Joeys seems enthralled by the response, but quickly starts his segment. He begins talking about the vicious attack Rob Van Dam faced at the hands of Raven last week. He says that doctors were able to prevent severe damage, and Rob Van Dam only suffered minor internal bruising to his neck. Joey Styles than announces that Rob Van Dam will be medically cleared to wrestle again next week! He then says that he knows everyone is pleased to know that “Mr. Tuesday Nights” is perfectly okay. This brings out Raven and the Disciples of Apocalypse. Raven says that he is glad to hear that Van Dam is going to be okay because he wants each and every one of these people to get a good glimpse at their hero one last time before he ends his career for good. Raven says he is going to destroy Van Dam and make him repent for all his sins. Suddenly, Rob Van Dam comes running out with a long chain in his hand. He whips the chain and Kevin Thorne catches a shot in the back. Raven and the Disciples escape the ring before anymore damage can be caused. Van Dam grabs the microphone, although selling his throat injuries, and challenges Raven to a dog collar match at Hostile City Showdown! Raven nods his head in acceptance. ---------- COMMERCIAL BREAK ----------In the back, Jack Swagger is shown in Tommy Dreamer’s lockeroom. Jack Swagger says he respects Tommy Dreamer and the Extreme Rules match from two weeks ago made him realize that there is still a lot to be learned in this business. Jack Swagger asks Tommy Dreamer to be his mentor and Dreamer accepts! Match Three: Rhyno versus Super CrazyExtreme Rules Rhyno is once again looking to win this match to earn the opportunity to face Masato Tanaka at Hostile City Showdown. Rhyno seems resistant to fight Super Crazy until Crazy slaps Rhyno across the face! These two actually work together rather nicely and put on a solid match. During the match, Masato Tanaka comes out and stands on the entrance ramp. Super Crazy nailed an impressive moonsault off the top rope and onto Rhyno! The end of the match came when Rhyno nailed the Gore onto the steel steps! Winner: Rhyno The match ended at 8:11 via pinfall BAfter the match Rhyno grabs a microphone. He says Super Crazy is a friend of his and look what he did to him! “Tanaka, can you only imagine what I am going to do when I get my hands on you!?” ---------- COMMERCIAL BREAK ----------D.H Smith is having an interview when he is interrupted by “Beautiful” Danny Doring. Doring is angry that Smith is getting praise for defeating Justin Credible last week and everyone is overlooking the true talent of ECW. Doring challenges Smith to a match next week, which Smith accepts. The ECW Heavyweight Champion, Muhammad Hassan, is in the back with Josh Matthews. Hassan begins to talk about how he is the most destructive force in ECW history! He says that tonight he hopes that Sabu understands why he will never be able to defeat Muhammad Hassan. Hassan says anyone is welcomed to join the Anti-Christ and all that resist will fall. At Hostile City Showdown he is going to make Sabu regret his decisions and leave John Layfield with yet another retiring extremist. Hassan also hints that he cannot wait to see C.M Punk one last time. Match Four: Monty Brown versus Matt Morgan w/ Johnny NitroECW Television Championship This is clearly a match to advance the storyline between Johnny Nitro and Monty Brown. Brown and Morgan actually have decent chemistry in the ring and work together smoothly because of their similar styles. Brown dominants the opening seconds of the match, but Morgan eventually gains control. Morgan does an excellent job in hurting the ECW Television Champion and nearly has the champion defeated at one point. Brown begins to mount a comeback when Nitro hits the ring with a chair. He tries to take out Brown, but accidently whacks Morgan in the head! Brown than capitalizes and nails the Pounce on Matt Morgan for the win! Winner & Still ECW Television Champion: Monty Brown The match ended at 8:45 via pinfall BAfter the match Johnny Nitro tries to once again attack Brown, but Brown is one step ahead of him this week. Brown nails an impressive overhead belly-to-belly supplex on Nitro which causes him to retreat up the ramp. Brown stands tall in the ring with his ECW Television Championship in hand. ---------- COMMERCIAL BREAK ----------John “Bradshaw” Layfield is shown in his office. He says that next week will be Tag Team Turmoil! All three tag teams involved in the Hostile City Showdown elimination tables match will be in action, along with Rob Van Dam and Sabu taking on Muhammad Hassan and Raven! Main Event: Elijah Burke w/ Sylvester Terkay versus Shelton Benjamin w/ Charlie Haas versus Brian Kendrick w/ Paul London The tag team division has really been a main priority of the ECW lately and these three teams are the reason for that. These three teams have great chemistry and any combination involving these six men is always great, with this being no exception. These three men had one of the best triple threats in recent memory. The crowd was amazed on how willing these three men were to put on a show stealing match. Some noteworthy spots included: Shelton Benjamin hitting a T-Bone Supplex of the top rope on Brian Kendrick, Brian Kendrick hitting a perfect crossbody from the top rope to the outside of Elijah Burke, Elijah Burke hitting the Elijah Express on Shelton Benjamin who was perched on the top rope, and Shelton Benjamin hitting a perfectly executed moonsault on Kendrick and Burke. When Charlie Haas tried interfering, this caused all hell to break loose. London and Terkay begin attacking Haas and it almost seems like two triple threats are occurring simultaneously. The end of the match came when Elijah Burke nailed the Elijah Express on Brian Kendrick, and then turned around into a T-Bone Supplex at the hands of Shelton Benjamin, who was able to get the victory over the ECW Tag Team Champion. Winner: Shelton Benjamin The match ended at 15:35 via pinfall AShelton Benjamin shortly celebrates his victory as he nailed a stunning over the top rope senton onto the brawling Haas, London and Terkay. Within a minute, all six men are brawling! Joey Styles hypes next week’s tag team turmoil as ECW goes off the air.

ECW on Sci-Fi: Tuesday 25th September 2007...Decent promo with John Bradshaw Layfield, basically promoting Hostile City Showdown and addressing several matters. Looking forward to the different matches assigned, I definitely think that New Breed need to drop the ECW World Tag Team Championships to either Paul London and Brian Kendrick or the World's Greatest Tag Team. The idea of Justin Credible defending his Money in the Bank briefcase against somebody not announced is a giveaway that the idea to give Credible a push has definitely been cancelled. I sense Mike Awesome being the man that returns. Or Sid Vicious. Of course The Miz was going to beat Nick Dinsmore; Dinsmore has nothing much left to do anymore, maybe he's on his way out of the company. Ah, the Cabinet being Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins. I enjoy that idea, but really not the best idea for them to really make their debut in a match with Sabu and Muhammad Hassan; who could have lost due to miscommunication, or a sneaky finish. Hassan and Sabu are built as an oddball tag team as it is, so I'm not fond of this bout. Especially since this match was placed this low on this week's edition of ECW. Raven and the Disciples of the Apocalypse's promo with Rob Van Dam interfering was fine, definitely a decent feud here but shouldn't stretch too long. Hopefully Raven stops competing after this feud, though. His in-ring ability definitely declined at this point. Rhyno beating Super Crazy was predicted in this Extreme Rules match; at least it wasn't one-sided. Masato Tanaka continues to be a menace in Rhino's way. Monty Brown retaining the ECW World Television Championship against Matt Morgan was predictable; not the best match. Lastly, decent main event but it was weak. Shelton Benjamin beating Brian Kendrick and Elijah Burke. It is good to see these three teams get spotlight, but really this should have been reserved for Hassan and Sabu's battle with The Cabinet. Not that fond of this week's episode, but Hostile City Showdown seems good.

-Great opening. Sad to see Punk's "retirement." -The Miz beating Nick Dinsmore is great. Hopefully Miz gets a good push. -Sabu and Hassan beating The Cabinet is good. Hope both teams get a good push. -Rhyno beating Super Crazy is good. Rhyno is doing good lately. -Monty Brown beating Johnny Nitro is good. Nitro hopefully gets a push and wins the title soon. -Very glad Shelton won the Fatal Four Way! I was hoping he'd win it and now I'm happy. -Great ECW Matt!

-Used to keep up with your old one. I'll try my best on this one. -All the stuff on this promo is good. Punk retiring makes me a sad penguin. -Miz winning is fine. -Match looks good for tonight -Do not like that Sabu/Hassan won. Seeing that the will be battling for the ECW title at HCSD, it would have made sense for Hassan, being the heel, to turn on Sabu instead of just getting a sneaky win. -Post match was alright -Justin Credible will prob lose the MITB now, not making him look Credible at all if you know what I mean. -Dog Collar match should be alright -Swagger and Dreamer are an odd pairing I must say. -Rhino winning was good. Looking forward to his match vs. Masato Tanaka -Smith vs. Doring will be a BR break tbh. -I wonder what Hassan meant by saying he can't wait to see Punk one last time. -Brown winning is good, can't wait for Nitro vs. Brown. -Main event seems weak, glad that Shelton won though. -Good Job, but some things could have been done differently.
