I'm enjoying this diary, I like how you've introduced some more originals into this as well. WWE's take one ECW had a lot of potential when it first started and I think you are making good use of that.
Although it doesn't have the classic ECW feel, it doesn't have that watered down WWE feel to it, which is great!

The Extreme Report ~ Jacob Jimenez
It seems that Paul Heyman attracted a lot of heat last night with the way he booked the show. McMahon was said to be vocal about the way he booked Muhammad Hassan & Sabu versus Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins. McMahon feels that since Hassan-Sabu is the main feud heading into Hostile City Showdown, they should be featured in the main event; however, Paul Heyman felt that the triple threat was a stronger main event. Additionally, Paul Heyman is receiving criticism for allowing Hassan and Sabu to win the tag match. Heyman was trying to help Hassan’s character by showing that he just wants to destroy anyone in his path.
It is no secret that Paul Heyman is a tag team advocate. He believes that a strong tag team creates a solid show, and feels that although it is a dying tradition, it can still work effectively; hence, Heyman has high hopes for next week’s tag team turmoil addition, as he wants to prove that tag team wrestling does not need to die.
Speaking of dying tradition, Paul Heyman is currently searching for a new manager or two. Heyman feels managers are essential to some Extremists making it to the top; therefore, he would love to convince McMahon to a hire a new manager.
ECW will be premiering a new segment on ECW’s official website next week. Entitled “Cyber Chaos” the show will feature one exclusive match that was taped before ECW goes live on the air. Heyman feels this is a nice way to highlight a few additional stars and give viewers a reason to head over to the website.
Johnny Nitro has impressed everyone lately. Nitro has been dubbed the next major breakout star in ECW. Vince McMahon has been quoted as even calling him the “Chosen One.”
There is a rumor circulating that the three hour ECW special entitled Hostile City Showdown will go commercial free if the right advertiser steps up.
McMahon had sent out a few scouts over the weekend to check out development territories. McMahon does not seem to be pleased as no territory has been deemed good enough.

Tag Team Turmoil October 2, 2007 Cyber Chaos - D.H Smith defeats “Beautiful” Danny Doring with a Running Powerslam at 9:11 - Smith cuts a heartfelt promo after the match. Speaking about his father, Smith becomes very passionate and says he will make his father proud!“Let the bodies hit the floor…” Pyrotechnics light up tonight’s arena live from Dayton, Ohio! The crowd seems euphoric for what should be an action filled ninety minutes of Extreme Championship Wrestling. For well over a year now ECW has been the highest rated episodic television show on Sci-Fi! Tonight, John “Bradshaw” Layfield’s tag team turmoil concept comes to life! A New Breed, the World’s Greatest Tag Team, and the Tag Team of London and Kendrick will be action! Also, catch Raven teaming with the ECW Heavyweight Champion “Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan to take on Rob Van Dam and Sabu! Moreover, tonight C.M Punk will formally address his retirement. Opening Contest: The World’s Greatest Tag Team – Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin versus Tommy Dreamer & Jack Swagger The World’s Greatest Tag Team is easily one of the most experienced and over tag teams on the roster. Week in and week out they continue to put on exceptional performances, and they can definitely be carrying the famous ECW tag team division. The odd pairing of Jack Swagger and Tommy Dreamer has some fans confused. Swagger had defeated Dreamer in Swagger’s debut match, Dreamer tied up the series a week later in an Extreme Rules; however, Jack than shocks everyone when he announces respect for Tommy Dreamer. Now these two men are teaming for the first time and it seems they have some decent chemistry together. These four men have a solid contest and the three veterans really help Jack Swagger appear well polished in the ring. All four men get their time to shine as offense is shared throughout. It seems that Jack Swagger and Tommy Dreamer are going to get a victory as they begin to control Charlie Haas in the ring. Swagger nails Haas with a vicious Neckbreaker, and then tags in Tommy Dreamer. Dreamers steps into the ring, but suddenly Swagger strikes him in the gut and levels him with a Gut-Wrench Powerbomb! The crowd is stunned as Swagger laves the ring allowing Charlie Haas to tag in Shelton Benjamin who hits the T-Bone Suplex for the victory! Winners: The World’s Greatest Tag Team – Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin The match ended via pinfall at 8:45 BIn the back Monty Brown is standing by. He says that he is truly the next big thing. He says Johnny Nitro speaks a big talk, but he can never live up to the dominance of Monty Brown. He says at Hostile City Showdown there is no chance that Johnny Nitro will survive the Pounce…PERIOD! ---------- COMMERCIAL BREAK ----------Josh Matthews is frantically catching up with Jack Swagger back stage. Matthews questions Swagger’s betrayal of Tommy Dreamer. Swagger responds claiming Tommy Dreamer is foolish and trusts to easily. He has no respect for Tommy Dreamer, and he will be unable to sleep peacefully at night until he knows Tommy Dreamer is incapable of ever stepping into a ring again. The proud General Manager of ECW, John “Bradshaw” Layfield is making his presence to the live Dayton audience. Layfield is in the ring solo and grabs a microphone. Layfield says that tonight will be historic; however, Hostile City Showdown will forever be remembered by all. Thanks to a great sponsor, Microsoft X-Box, Hostile City Showdown will be the first ever live three hour monumental event that is commercial free! Layfield is promoting the event when suddenly Raven and the Disciples of Apocalypse interrupt. Raven says tonight he can careless about X-Box, about Hostile City Showdown, and all the potential history in the making. Tonight he has the opportunity to once and for all end the career of Rob Van Dam. Raven tells Layfield he was foolish for feeding Van Dam to him before their scheduled Dog Collar Match. Raven says that after tonight, Rob Van Dam will not be capable of compete in that match. Tonight, will live in infamy as a massacre; it will be the darkest day in ECW history, and when Van Dam is forced into retirement, darkness will continue to spread as Raven will soon become ECW Heavyweight Champion, and no one can stop him! He then reminds Layfield that “foul is fair, and fair is foul.” Layfield stares at Raven befuddled when suddenly Raven kicks him in the gut and levels him with the Even Flow! Rob Van Dam bursts out from the back to make the save, but Raven quickly rolls out of the ring with his scapegoats following suit. Raven yells that let this be a lesson learned for Van Dam, as no one can stop him, and no one will prevent him from achieving his destiny! ---------- COMMERCIAL BREAK ----------A replay of Raven leveling John Layfield with the Even Flow is shown. Joey Styles and Tazz are trying to find a reason for Raven’s attack, but they cannot comprehend his actions. Match Two: The Tag Team of London and Kendrick – Paul London & Brian Kendrick versus the Pitbulls – Kid Kash & Jamie Noble w/ Pitbull Kelly The Tag Team of London and Kendrick have been on a roll since debuting only a few months ago. They have quickly proven to be on the best tag teams in the ECW Tag Team division and prove week in and week out why they deserve to be ECW Tag Team Champions. The Pitbulls have been underutilized for months, but they are still one terrific tag team. They have great experience, and their unique look makes them popular amongst the audience. They have been in the promotion since almost the birth, and they are striving for the chance to become the top dogs, pun intended, of the division again. These four men have outstanding chemistry in the ring. Their similar ring styles make for an unappreciated classic. The Pitbulls are very aggressive in this match and manage to get in a lot of offense; however, London and Kendrick are getting in their fair share of offense. The end of the match came when Paul London hit a dropsault on Kid Kash, and Brian Kendrick followed up with Slice Bread #2! Winners: The Tag Team of London and Kendrick – Paul London & Brian Kendrick The match ended via pinfall at 12:34 A---------- COMMERCIAL BREAK ----------C.M Punk is shown arriving to the Dayton arena. Tonight he faces his curtain call as he formally retires from professional wrestling. Johnny Nitro is in the back with Matt Morgan at his side. Nitro says that the clock is ticking down to Hostile City Showdown. He wonders if Monty Brown can sleep at night, knowing that in two weeks he will no longer be ECW Television Champion. Nitro says it is his time to shine, his time to break through the glass ceiling, and no one is going to stop him! Especially not Monty Brown! We quickly cut over to a different part of the arena to see Rhyno and Masato Tanaka brawling! They are exchanging shots when suddenly Tanaka tackles Rhyno into a wall. Tanaka slams Rhyno into the cold concrete. Tanaka picks up a lead pipe and starts choking Rhyno with it. Tanaka eventually picks Rhyno up and smashes his head against a door, followed up by a nasty Spinebuster through a concession table. Tanaka is continuing to feed shots to Rhyno as we cut to commercial break! ---------- COMMERCIAL BREAK ----------As we come back, Rhyno and Tanaka are still brawling and Rhyno is now busted open. They trade shots down a corridor that leads out into the audience. They appear to be on the second tier of the arena and begin to fight close to the edge on the balcony. Rhyno is now in control and teases throwing Tanaka over the balcony! Tanaka breaks free from Rhyno and now teases throwing Rhyno over the edge. Suddenly, Rhyno nails Tanaka with a low blow, steps back and charges with a huge Gore, causing both men to fly over the balcony and crash through a wooden production stand. The crowd is in awe as officials, agents and medical staff races out to check on the two men. John “Bradshaw” Layfield even makes his way out and seems extremely worried. They reply the huge gore several times as Joey Styles and Tazz recap the situation. Styles puts over how these two men are willing to do anything to their bodies in this grudge feud. Tazz seems concerned and is rather quite, only commenting that something could be seriously wrong. ---------- COMMERCIAL BREAK ---------- Another replay airs hyping the vicious Gore Rhyno delivered to Masato Tanaka. Justin Credible is shown in the back holding on to his Money in the Bank Briefcase dearly. He says that at Hostile City Showdown someone is going to attempt to take this away from him, but they are in for a surprise. He is Mr. Money in the Bank for a reason, and that reason is because he is incredible. No one can stop Justin Credible and he will prove to the world that he is the best Extremist in ECW history! Match Three: A New Breed – Elijah Burke & Sylvester Terkay w/ Ariel versus the Full Blooded Italians – Little Guido & Tony Mamaluke w/ Trinity A New Breed is the current ECW Tag Team Champions. They have been dominating the tag team division since their arrival over a year ago. Nearing in on ten months in their title reign, the crowd is starting to believe that no one will ever be able to put a stop to A New Breed. The Full Blooded Italians helped start the ECW Tag Team division along with the Sandman and Tommy Dreamer, and Danny Doring & Roadkill. The division has certainly come a long way since the FBI was on top; however, these two men are still amongst the best athletes on the brand. The Full Blooded Italians are facing a disadvantage as both Sylvester Terkay and Elijah Burke have a considerate size advantage over them. The Full Blooded Italians do generate some decent heel heat, which makes the crowd ecstatic when A New Breed quickly defeats them. Terkay nails the Face Paver on Tony Mamaluke and Elijah Burke nails the Elijah Express on Little Guido. Winners: A New Breed The match ended via pinfall at 4:12 CA New Breed celebrates their victory as they definitely proved to their opponents at Hostile City Showdown exactly why they are the ECW Tag Team Champions! ---------- COMMERCIAL BREAK ----------A final replay of the Masato Tanaka-Rhyno incident is shown. They follow up with a video recapping an early altercation tonight that witnessed Raven attacking John “Bradshaw” Layfield. Main Event: “Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan & Raven w/ the Disciples of Apocalypse versus Sabu & Rob Van Dam“Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan is the current ECW Heavyweight Champion and has been since August. He is currently feuding with Sabu and they will share their first ever one on one encounter at Hostile City Showdown. The feud has been cut pretty closely, but it seems that Hassan has a little advantage over Sabu. Raven has been a vicious animal lately, and Rob Van Dam has been the focus of his attack. Raven and Rob Van Dam are both looking to be noticed for an ECW Heavyweight Championship shot; however, having to earn the opportunity to get a title shot has driven Raven crazy. Raven is more twisted than ever, and Rob Van Dam plans on stopping him at Hostile City Showdown in a Dog Collar Match! These four men are the top draws the brand has to offer, and they gave this match their all. The action was intense and quick. All four men were able to trade offense on and off and no team gained a significant advantage. Near the end of the match, Van Dam nails Raven with a roundhouse kick causing him to fall to the outside. Rob Van Dam then takes the opportunity to take Raven out with a suicide dive. In the ring, Sabu and Hassan are trading shots, but Hassan quickly pulls out a spike from his shoe and nails Sabu viciously in the head with it, causing a disqualification. Winners: Rob Van Dam & Sabu The match ended via disqualification at 9:34 BHassan strikes Sabu again with the spike and follows up with the Calling! On the outside Raven and the Disciples are now beating down Van Dam and it seems like the two darkest creatures of ECW are truly the victors of this battle. ---------- COMMERCIAL BREAK ----------C.M Punk’s music hits and he begins to make his way to the ring for the last time in ECW history. C.M Punk is sporting his traditional street clothes and he receives an outstanding reaction from the crowd, as they chant “Thank you Punk!” C.M Punk begins talking about his terrific ECW career. He says that he has been hated and loved, evil and good, better than you and equal. He says that his victory over Mike Awesome at Wrestlemania was the greatest moment of his life. He says that he did his best week in and week out to entertain the fans, and he hopes they enjoyed every second of it. The crowd starts a “Please don’t go” chant and Punk begins to get choked up. Punk confesses he does not want to go, but he cannot continue stepping in this ring every week knowing he is not the best. He says that when Muhammad Hassan defeated him he knew he was no longer the best. He has tried and tried again to defeat the “Anti-Christ” but he cannot defeat the stronger power. Punk is enough of a man to confess when he has been ousted. He says that he cannot wait for someone to come and dethrone Muhammad Hassan, but he knows that Hassan is the better man. This brings out the current ECW Heavyweight Champion, “Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan. Hassan is wearing an Arabic robe and seems tired from his match just a few minutes ago. Hassan says that it is about time that he gets the respect he deserves. Hassan admits that he is indeed the greatest Extremist of all time, and that C.M Punk is weak compared to him. He begins to call Punk a coward and says he was never meant to be a professional wrestler. Hassan calls Punk a joke and tells him that his legacy will mean nothing as it will be overshadowed by the greater reign of Hassan. Punk is starting to get fed up and tells Hassan to shut up. He says that although C.M Punk cannot defeat Muhammad Hassan, it will not be long until someone does. He says he knows that at Hostile City Showdown, Muhammad Hassan will lose to the homicidal, suicidal, genocidal Sabu! Hassan does not take highly to this and he begins to attack C.M Punk! He starts pounding away and eventually pulls out the same spike he attacked Sabu with. Hassan busts Punk open and throws him to the outside. Hassan grabs the steps and smashes them over the ribs of C.M Punk. He then places the steps, grabs Punk and nails a finish tombstone onto the steps! Hassan stands over the blood, knocked out body of C.M Punk as the show goes to a close.

The Extreme Report ~ Jacob Jimenez
The ratings for ECW have been down over the last several weeks; therefore, Paul Heyman needed to do something to get the ratings up. Heyman strongly believes that C.M Punk’s retirement was going to draw more ratings than usual; therefore, he wanted to capitalize on the larger audience. The explosive, anything can happen, feel was a way for Heyman to attempt to keep viewers staying tuned week in and week out.
This new explosive feel for ECW is expected to stick around if it begins to work out. Vince McMahon was said to be incredibly pleased with tonight’s show because he felt that anything could and will happen. Additionally, there is a rumor circulating that Vince McMahon is looking to make ECW a two hour show to make it look like a serious brand of World Wrestling Entertainment.
Jack Swagger and Tommy Dreamer may have a match at Hostile City Showdown depending on if Paul Heyman feels there is time that needs to be filled.
There is word going around backstage that Vince McMahon has found a development territory.

The Final Countdown October 9, 2007 Cyber Chaos - Southern Miracle defeats the Basham Brothers at 8:34“Let the bodies hit the floor…” Pyrotechnics light up tonight’s arena live from Detroit, Michigan! The crowd seems euphoric for what should be an action filled ninety minutes of Extreme Championship Wrestling. For well over a year now ECW has been the highest rated episodic television show on Sci-Fi! This is the last stop before the commercial free, live, three hour spectacular known as Hostile City Showdown! Tonight, everyone is looking to garnish momentum heading into one of the biggest nights in Extreme Championship Wrestling history! John “Bradshaw” Layfield makes his way to the ring with the Cabinet trailing behind him. Layfield seems short-tempered tonight as he quickly cuts to business. He says that last week Raven left him lying in the ring after a brutal Raven Effect. He is unsure on Raven’s mutative, but that is unimportant. Raven will now have to face consequences and tonight he has booked him in an Extreme Rules match against Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins! Also, the Disciples of Apocalypse are banned from ringside, and if they try to waive that stipulation, all four of them will be fired! And to make things a little sweeter, Rob Van Dam will be the guest referee! This causes Raven and the Disciples of Apocalypse to make their way to the stage. Raven says that no matter what John Layfield tries to do, he cannot stop what is destined to happen. At Hostile City Showdown, he will destroy Rob Van Dam in the Dog Call match. Following that, he will go on to face Sabu or Muhammad Hassan for the ECW Heavyweight Championship, and he will win the strap. No one is going to stop Raven from taking what is rightfully his. “So it was written, so it shall come to pass…quote the raven, ‘nevermore’” ----------COMMERCIAL BREAK---------- Opening Contest: The Miz w/ the Entourage versus Stevie Richards w/ Al Snow The fans were actually eager to see the Blue World Order out tonight, as it has been several weeks since they have been seen. The Miz is really developing into a tremendous heel and he seems to garnish a larger reaction week in and week out. It is good to note that the Miz is also improving tremendously in the week every night. This match is actually surprisingly good and a solid opening contest. The Miz is able to put Stevie Richards away with a vicious Reality Check! Winners: The Miz The match ended via pinfall at 8:31 C+After the match, Al Snow attempts to check on Stevie Richards, but the Miz is not going to allow it. The Miz sweeps in and punts Snow in the head. He follows up by laying out Snow with the Reality Check. The Miz continues by grabbing a microphone and announcing, “I am the chick magnet, and I am simply Awesome!” ----------COMMERCIAL BREAK----------A video airs highlight Rhyno’s vicious Gore to Masato Tanaka that caused both of them to go flying off the second tier of the stands and through a wooden stage. Rhyno is standing in the back and is heavily taped up. He says that last week was only a sample of what he is willing to do to Masato Tanaka. Nothing is going to stop Rhyno from destroying Tanaka because he wants to see him suffer. Rhyno enjoys the pain, does Tanaka? At Hostile City Showdown, everyone is going to witness the slaughter of Masato Tanaka. Tommy Dreamer is shown entering the office of John “Bradshaw” Layfield. He says that last week Jack Swagger humiliated him, and he needs to get his hands on him again. He proposed an unsanctioned brawl at Hostile City Showdown. Layfield addresses Dreamer’s passion and says that his proposal is too good to pass on. He agrees that Tommy Dreamer can face Jack Swagger in an unsanctioned brawl, but tonight he must first team up with Sabu to face off against Muhammad Hassan and Jack Swagger. HOSTILE CITY SHOWDOWN…SEVEN DAYS! ----------COMMERCIAL BREAK----------Match Two: A New Breed – Elijah Burke, Monty Brown & Sylvester Terkay w/ Ariel versus the World’s Greatest Tag Team – Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin and Johnny Nitro w/ Matt Morgan An interesting six man tag match allows for Monty Brown and Johnny Nitro to get one last altercation in before Hostile City Showdown next week; additionally, it allows two-thirds of the huge ECW Tag Team Championship Elimination Tables match to get their hands on one another. This competitive match is the type of wrestling that ECW is going to become notorious for. These six men really tore the house down and the chemistry they have in the ring is beyond tremendous. The end of the match when Charlie Haas had exposed the turnbuckle, which allows Shelton Benjamin to whip Burke into the buckle, followed up with a T-Bone Supplex and pick up the shocking victory. Winners: The World’s Greatest Tag Team – Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin and Johnny Nitro The match ended via pinfall at 14:35 AFollowing the match, the action continues. Sylvester Terkay cocks Shelton with a huge uppercut, but Charlie Haas cuts him down with a chop block. On the outside, Monty Brown is trying to fend off an attack by both Johnny Nitro and Matt Morgan. To add into the chaos, the Tag Team of London and Kendrick make their way to the ring and they have a table. They sit up the table on the outside before joining the brawl in the ring. On the outside, Monty Brown receives a Chokeslam onto the entrance ramp and Johnny Nitro nails the Standing Shooting Star! Back in the ring, Kendrick and London hit a double supplex on Sylvester Terkay off the apron and through the table! ----------COMMERCIAL BREAK----------Justin Credible is in the back. He says that in one week’s time, he will go out to the center of the ring and face an unknown opponent. He has no idea what trick John Layfield has up his sleeve, but it is going to backfire. Justin Credible is back on track, and no one is going to derail him. He then hints that he is going to cash in the Money in the Bank Briefcase next week and become the ECW Heavyweight Champion because he is just that incredible! A video airs recapping C.M Punk’s official retirement ceremony; however, the touching moment was ruined by “Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan. They show Hassan’s vicious tombstone onto the steel steps, followed by exclusive footage of C.M Punk being stretched out in a neck brace. Josh Matthews is backstage with the ECW Heavyweight Champion, “Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan. Hassan explains that his attack on C.M Punk last week was necessary. He needed to show everyone that he means business, and what better way than to make sure C.M Punk never walks again. He says that his attack on C.M Punk has not distracted him from Sabu and the battle that awaits him at Hostile City Showdown. He says that he will defeat Sabu next week as no one can defeat the “Anti-Christ.” Conform to the light, or be left in eternal darkness. ----------COMMERCIAL BREAK----------Match Three: Raven versus the Cabinet – Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins Guest Referee: Rob Van Dam Extreme RulesNever have the odds been so stacked against Raven, but this twisted psychopath is not going down without a fight. Raven quickly grabs a chair and delivers a vicious shot to both Ryder and Hawkins. Suddenly, while Raven is still holding the chair, Rob Van Dam nails the Vandaminator! Rob Van Dam than quickly rolls out of the ring, reaches under the canvas and pulls out a dog chain! He ties one side to the ring post and the other side around Raven’s neck. Raven is now a sitting duck as Rob Van Dam picks up the chair and nails a beautiful spinning leg drop. Rob Van Dam than places the chair on Raven’s stomach as he climbs to the top rope and nails the Five Star Frog Splash! Rob Van Dam leaves Raven in the ring coughing up blood as the crowd goes insane. No Contest The match ended via a no contest at 5:41 C
HOSTILE CITY SHOWDOWN…SEVEN DAYS! ----------COMMERCIAL BREAK----------In the back D.H Smith is standing by. He cuts a pretty simple promo and says that it is his time to shine. A New Breed is standing by with Josh Matthews. Monty Brown is the first to speak and he says at Hostile City Showdown, Johnny Nitro is finally going to get his ass handed to him. He says for too long Nitro has tried to make a fool out of the Alpha Male, but no one can ever dethrone the ECW Television Champion. Elijah Burke begins to speak on behalf the Terkay and himself. He says that next week, the World’s Greatest Tag Team and the Tag Team of London and Kendrick will crash and burn through tables. No one is ever going to stop the dominant force of Elijah Burke and Sylvester Terkay! In the ring stands Joey Styles. Joey Styles runs down the card for Hostile City Showdown. Rhyno and Masato Tanaka will face off in a grudge match! Justin Credible will face off against a to be announced opponent with the Money in the Bank Briefcase on the line. Tommy Dreamer and Jack Swagger face off in an unsanctioned brawl. Rob Van Dam will face Raven in a Dog Collar Match! Monty Brown defends the ECW Television Championship against Johnny Nitro. A New Breed defends the ECW Tag Team Championships against the World’s Greatest Tag Team and the Tag Team of London and Kendrick. “Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan will face off against Sabu for the ECW Heavyweight Championship! ----------COMMERCIAL BREAK----------Main Event: Tommy Dreamer and Sabu versus “Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan and Jack SwaggerThe purpose of this match is obvious, but what may be more subtle is how monumental this moment is for Jack Swagger. This is Jack Swagger’s first ever main event and he is quickly becoming a dominant heel on the brand. This match was actually rather decent, but it was far from a great match. Swagger actually works a lot of the match against Sabu and Dreamer, but Hassan eventually receives a hot tag, something that is rare for heels to do. Hassan really dishes out a great amount of offense, but it is Jack Swagger that will end the match when he picks up the victory over Tommy Dreamer after a roll-up, using the ropes to his advantage. Winners: “Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan and Jack Swagger The match ended via pinfall at 13:34 BAfter the match, Jack Swagger quickly walks to the back, but Tommy Dreamer is in fast pursuit. Sabu and Hassan begin brawling in the ring and they end up on the outside. Sabu nails Hassan in the head with a chair causing him to land on the announcer’s table. Sabu slides into the ring, sets the chair up and connects with a triple jump moonsault through Hassan and the table!

HOSTILE CITY SHOWDOWN October 16, 2007
“Let the bodies hit the floor…”
Pyrotechnics explode around the arena, live in East Rutherford, New Jersey! The crowd is enthusiastic and excited as tonight it is Hostile City Showdown! A specially designed set commemorates this special, live, three hour, commercial free event. Joey Styles and Tazz welcome us to the show and hype that history is going to be made tonight. They run down the card, and remind us that tonight thanks to X-Box, here will be no commercials!
Justin Credible makes his way out with a microphone. He starts trashing on New Jersey and says that it is embarrassing that he has to even participate in a match for these worthless Americans. He says tonight, no matter who comes out from behind that curtain, Justin Credible will defeat him, and possibly cash in the Money in the Bank Briefcase tonight!
Suddenly, the crowd explodes as the “Olympic Hero” Kurt Angle makes his way out! Justin Credible is stunned as Kurt Angle confidently makes his way to the ring.
Opening Contest: Justin Credible versus Kurt Angle Money in the Bank Briefcase
Kurt Angle quickly takes Justin Credible down and makes quick work on the ECW Alumni. Kurt hits his traditional suplex maneuvers and follows up with an Olympic Slam. Kurt is able to hit the explanation point when he locks the Ankle Lock in, causing Justin Credible to submit!
Winner: Kurt Angle The match ended via submission at 3:12 C
Kurt Angle receives the Money in the Bank Briefcase from the referee and the crowd is going absolutely nuts. Angle celebrates his victory as Joey Styles and Tazz discuss if this means Kurt Angle will remain on ECW permanently.
Tommy Dreamer is standing by with Josh Matthews. Josh Matthews asks Dreamer how he is feeling tonight, and Dreamer says he is feeling ready to kick some ass. Jack Swagger gas tried to make Tommy Dreamer a stepping stone, but that is not going to happen. Tonight, Jack Swagger will find out exactly why he is known as the “Innovator of Violence.”
The Tag Team of London and Kendrick are backstage. Kendrick and London are hyped over the return of Kurt Angle and admit they are both huge fans. They say that tonight they are going to impress Kurt Angle when they win the ECW Tag Team Championships.
Johnny Nitro makes his way out with Matt Morgan following suit. Nitro starting to garnish a decent heel reaction and tonight he may possible capture the ECW Television Championship. But first, he must defeat the “Alpha Male” Monty Brown. Brown comes out solo for his matchup and the crowd is showing a lot of support for the champion.
Match Two: Johnny Nitro w/ Matt Morgan versus Monty Brown ECW Television Championship
Monty Brown picks up the offense from the start of the match. He really overpowers and dominants Nitro for the opening moments. Monty Brown hit an impressive overhead belly-to-belly supplex off the middle rope which the crowd ate up. Brown was looking for the pounce, when Morgan tripped him, which allowed Nitro to start taking over. Nitro nailed a beautiful corkscrew Neckbreaker, and followed up with the Standing Moonsault, but was unable to pick up the three. Brown mounts a comeback and these two start having a rather competitive match; however, when Brown started to gain the momentum Morgan hit the ring and chopped down the champion with an Ax Kick. This allowed Nitro to ascend the ropes and hit a new move, the Starship Pain, for the three count.
Winner & New ECW Television Champion: Johnny Nitro The match ended via pinfall at 13:38 B+
Nitro quickly fleas the ring and grabs the ECW Television Championship. Nitro celebrates his victory like he just won the World Series and the crowd is really chewing him apart with boos. Monty Brown eventually gets back to his feet and tries to go after Nitro and Morgan, but they flea up the ramp and Brown lets them go.
In the back John “Bradshaw” Layfield is shown in his office enjoying the show. Layfield plugs X-Box and promises that history will continue to be made tonight. Suddenly, Kurt Angle is shown walking into his office. He shakes Layfield’s hand the two men sit down to discuss business.
Raven is in a dark corridor with the Disciples of Apocalypse. Raven has a dog collar around his neck and a long chain is attached, swung over his shoulders. Raven says tonight Rob Van Dam will meet his demise. No one is going to stop him from achieving his destiny, and he will do whatever it takes to get it done. Tonight, Raven will finish Van Dam off like he should have weeks ago. Quote the raven, “nevermore.”
The World’s Greatest Tag Team is in their lockeroom getting ready. Haas is pumping up Benjamin and claims that tonight they will win what is rightfully theirs. They are the greatest tag team in the world, and tonight both A New Breed and the Tag Team of London and Kendrick will fall!
A video airs recapping the vicious feud between Masato Tanaka and Rhyno. It reminds us that this feud all started when Rhyno stepped up to stop Tanaka’s bullying of smaller competitors. For weeks these two men have had vicious brawls, including Rhyno nailing Tanaka with a Gore on the second tier of the arena, causing them to crash and burn through a production stage.
Rhyno is out first to a warm reaction from the crowd. Rhyno is still bandaged up selling his injuries from the famous Gore. Masato Tanaka is out next and receives a lot of heat. Tanaka is really bandaged up and is even walking with a limp.
Match Three: Masato Tanaka versus Rhyno Grudge Match
These two men may have had one of the most brutal encounters in recent history. The chemistry of these two is unparallel as they are both stiff brawlers. They trade brutal shots in the ring for the opening moments before this thing gets violent. They both grab chairs and start exchanging chair shots. More brawling follows and is pursued by the use of weapons from under the ring. Eventually they start to battle up the entrance ramp when Tanaka hits a gorgeous snap supplex onto the ramp. Tanaka continues to drag Rhyno up the ramp, but eventually Rhyno starts mounting offense again. Rhyno hits a vicious Gore into the stage, but he was unable to put Tanaka down for the win. Tanaka once again begins to battle back and threatens to Powerbomb Rhyno off the stage! Rhyno is able to slip out of the hold and nails Tanaka in the gut, setting up a Piledriver. Rhyno jumps off the stage in the Piledriver position and an explosion follows. The cameras zoom in to show that the two men crashed into a lighting rig! Rhyno is able to get his hand over a bloody Tanaka and he picks up the win.
Winner: Rhyno The match ended via pinfall at 14:46 A
After the match, dozens of medical staff rushes out to check on the two men. They try to stretcher Rhyno away, but Rhyno refuses and he ascends to the top of the ramp again. A bloody Rhyno celebrates his victory as Masato Tanaka is stretchered away. The crowd is going insane for Rhyno and eventually he walks to the back.
Rob Van Dam is in the back. Van Dam says that he is the best in the world at what he does. He is Mr. Tuesday Night! He is unstoppable, innovative and a machine. Tonight, Raven is in for the biggest surprise of his life when he is defeated by the “whole f’n show” Rob…Van…Dam!
Down at ringside, Josh Matthews is standing by with a very special guest in the audience – Paul Heyman! Matthews asks Heyman if he is happy to be here and Heyman tells him to stop asking stupid questions. Heyman grabs the microphone and begins to talk about how much ECW has grown without him. He says that tonight has been insane, but he cannot wait to watch Tommy Dreamer destroy Jack Swagger!
This signals Jack Swagger to make his way out to ringside. Jack Swagger slowly walks down the entrance way and stops in front of Paul Heyman. Swagger just pops a cocky smirk and continues to walk away.
Tommy Dreamer than makes his way out and during his entrance a highlight video airs reviewing this bitter feud.
Match Four: Tommy Dreamer versus Jack Swagger Unsanctioned Match
This was an interesting contest. Tommy Dreamer tries taking on Jack Swagger by brawling, but Swagger counters by grounding Dreamer with submissions. Swagger heavily works the left foot of Tommy Dreamer and targets it for nearly the whole match. Tommy Dreamer does manage to get in a decent amount of offense which is highlighted when he busted open Jack Swagger the hard way! The end of the match came when Swagger brought a pipe into the ring and cracked Tommy Dreamer of the head with it. Swagger than rolled Dreamer to the outside of the ring and set up for a nasty finish. He removed a section of the protected patting around the ring, picked Dreamer up and planted him with a Gut-Wrench Powerbomb onto the exposed concrete!
Winner: Jack Swagger The match ended via pinfall at 12:34 B
Jack Swagger celebrates his victory, but quickly walks over to where Paul Heyman is sitting; he gets into Heyman’s face and starts yelling at him. In retaliation Heyman slaps Swagger in the face, but this was a huge mistake. Swagger grabs Heyman and slams him over the guardrail. He picks him up and tosses him into the ring. Swagger than plants Heyman with a Gut-Wrench Powerbomb! Swagger stands tall over the former owner of ECW as we cut to the back.
A New Breed is standing by. Elijah Burke says that in a few minutes, they are going to go out there and remind the world why they are the best tag team in the world! For nearly ten months they have been ECW Tag Team Champions and no one can stop them now!
The Miz is shown storming into John “Bradshaw” Layfield’s office. The Miz says that he is offended Layfield did not pick the Miz to take on Justin Credible for the Money in the Bank Briefcase. Layfield says that the Miz will never scratch the surface of Kurt Angle’s success. Layfield promotes how Kurt Angle is the best in the world and the Miz is a little boy who got picked up off of reality television. The Miz gets angry and says that next week he wants Kurt Angle in a match! Layfield laughs and agrees to the match, admitting the Miz is going to end up in a retirement home.
Around the ring dozens of tables are placed and we are ready for the highly anticipated ECW Tag Team Championship match. The World’s Greatest Tag Team is out first and they receive a lot of heat, most likely the most heat of the night. Out next is the explosive Tag Team of London and Kendrick! The crowd is really behind the young guns, and eager to see what crazy things these two men will do. Out last is the reigning ECW Tag Team Champions, A New Breed. A New Breed actually receives a mixed reaction and it seems the crowd is ready for them to finally drop the titles.
Match Five: A New Breed – Elijah Burke & Sylvester Terkay w/ Ariel versus the World’s Greatest Tag Team – Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin versus the Tag Team of London and Kendrick – Paul London & Brian Kendrick ECW Tag Team Championships Elimination Tables Match
Not since the days of the Dudley Boys, the Hardy Boys and Edge and Christian have three tag teams been able to captivate the audience like these three can. This match was absolutely amazing and possibly the best match in modern ECW history. A mixture of actual wrestling is followed up by some of the craziest spots. The first elimination is Paul London after Sylvester Terkay hit a running powerbomb off the apron through a table! Eliminated next was Shelton Benjamin when Brian Kendrick put him through a table with a top rope hurricanrana. The third elimination was Sylvester Terkay who got put through a table by Charlie Haas. One man from each team is left when things really got insane. Elijah Burke had brought a ladder in and used it to nail Brian Kendrick with the Elijah Burke. The ladder would eventually come in for the next elimination. Brian Kendrick placed Charlie Haas on a table and begins to climb a ladder. Kendrick is looking to put Haas away with something, when suddenly Elijah Burke hits the ring and tips the ladder, causing Brian Kendrick to crash through the announcers table! Elijah Burke and Charlie Haas are the last two competitors left and these two put on a hell of a performance. After brutal final minutes, Charlie Haas is able to put Elijah Burke away. Burke misses with an Elijah Express, and Haas picked up all of the offense. Haas is able to put Burke away with a blizzard suplex!
Winners & New ECW Tag Team Champions: The World’s Greatest Tag Team – Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin The match ended via elimination at 35:11 A+
Shelton Benjamin makes his way back to the ring and celebrates with Charlie Haas. The crowd is actually cheering on Benjamin and Haas respecting the great performance both men put on tonight. A video airs highlighting some of the best spots from the match, and when it is over, the new Tag Team Champions are at the top of the entrance ramp about to disappear behind the curtain.
ECW Heavyweight Champion “Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan is in the back. Hassan begins to cut a lengthy promo on Sabu and tonight’s match. He says that the brighter light is here to guide every single person to the right side. He speaks of the evils of Christ and says that Sabu will be crucified for his sins like Christ. Tonight will be the ultimate massacre of the man they claim to homicidal, suicidal and genocidal.
A video airs recapping the rivalry between Rob Van Dam and Raven.
Raven and the Disciples of Apocalypse are out first. Raven receives a lot of heat and he is definitely the most over heel thus far. Raven is already wearing his half of the dog collar and he also bears a huge chain that will soon attach him to Rob Van Dam.
John “Bradshaw” Layfield unexpectedly comes out instead of Rob Van Dam. Layfield says that he has still not forgotten that Raven attacked him two weeks ago, and there are still consequences to be faced; therefore, the Disciples of Apocalypse are banned from ringside! The Disciples make their way to the back and now Rob Van Dam makes his way out to the biggest reaction of the night. Rob Van Dam climbs into the ring, the referee attaches him to the chain and this one is ready to begin.
Match Six: Raven versus Rob Van Dam Dog Collar Match
This was definitely a change of pace from the explosive last contest, but this was still a great match. This contest was pretty brutal and the chain is used a lot in this match. Raven constantly pulled Van Dam off the top rope with the chain. The chair is used by both competitors as a whip and they both try to choke out their opponents with it. Van Dam was eventually able to grab a chair and this is when the match became all about Mr. Tuesday Nights. Van Dam was able to hit the Vandaminator and followed up with an impactful Five Star Frog Splash. Van Dam could easily defeat Raven at this point, but instead he takes Raven and throws him over the top rope, but Van Dam is able to hold tightly onto the chain. Raven is dangling over the top rope and is quickly be choked out. Eventually, the official has to step in and announce Van Dam as the winner!
Winner: Rob Van Dam The match ended via referee stoppage at 15:21 B+
Rob Van Dam frees himself from the collar and then drops the chain, causing Raven to fall to the mat. Rob Van Dam has finally achieved his retribution and it seems that Van Dam will soon be moving on to bigger and better things. He celebrates his victory with the audience as Raven is shown coughing up blood. Van Dam makes his way to the back and Raven has yet to move. Eventually some medical staff rushes out and they assist Raven to the back.
A video airs recapping the feud between ECW Heavyweight Champion Muhammad Hassan and Sabu.
Sabu is out first for this one and he receives a nice reaction from the crowd. “Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan is out next and he is by far the most over heel of the night. His reaction is deafening but he seems to absolutely love it.
Main Event: “Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan versus Sabu ECW Heavyweight Championship
This is a rather weak match compared to the last two, but the crowd is still able to keep interest. The match is highly competitive, but does not have the extreme nature the crowd expected. Hassan manages to have most of the offense, especially right from the start. Eventually Sabu mounts a comeback and the crowd grows eager as it seems that Sabu may defeat Hassan. Sabu brings a chair into play and hits a beautiful triple jump moonsault, Air Sabu, and an Arabian Facebuster; however, this was just not enough. Hassan eventually regains his offense and puts Sabu away with the Calling onto a steel chair.
Winner & Still ECW Heavyweight Champion: “Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan The match ended via pinfall at 10:43 C+
The crowd seems a little disappointed by this match and it was definitely lackluster. Hassan is busted open and is celebrating his victory in the ring when suddenly John “Bradshaw” Layfield makes his way out. Layfield tells Hassan to stay put in the ring because his night is not over! Kurt Angle makes his way out, hands John Layfield his briefcase, and races down to the ring.
Main Event: “Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan versus Kurt Angle ECW Heavyweight Championship
Although Hassan just had a match, he is still able to put up a fight against the “Olympic Hero.” The crowd is really anxious as they can feel a title change about to happen, and they are absolutely correct. After a vicious battle, Kurt Angle nails Hassan with an Olympic Slam! He follows up with an Ankle Lock and Hassan has no choice but to tap out!
Winner & New ECW Heavyweight Champion: Kurt Angle The match ended via submission at 8:12 B
Kurt Angle is awarded his ECW Heavyweight Championship and the crowd goes insane. He celebrates his victory as confetti falls from the rafters. Pyrotechnics begin to explode as Hostile City Showdown goes off the air.

-HCS -Alright, Looks good Matt -Justin losing like that is no shocker, but at least it was to Kurt Angle! -Not bad to see Nitro with the title. -That was an epic Gore BTW. Does make the most sense for Rhino to win it. Sick ass ending to it as well -Nice win for Swagger, pretty cool ending as well -Sounded like a great match for the tag titles. Another cool ending, with WGTTT getting the win -RVD winning is good. Guessing Raven will want revenge. -Great to see Hassan retain -OH MY GOD! NEW CHAMPION! KURT ANGLE! KURT ANGLE! KURT ANGLE! This feud will be epic! -Great job, best show you have done in this thread by far.

- Angle is a much better choice than Credible for the case. Glad he took it. - Love this Nitro push man, but use Cor Von well, let him move onto Hassan now. - Rhyno or Tanaka winning would have been fine. It has been a good feud that has elevated both guys imo. - Swagger's push has been insanely awesome. This was the perfect way to continue it. - The New Breed's loss was expected tbh, but to either of the two teams would have been fine. TWGTT will be great champs. - Rob Van Dam victory is the right call. Glad to see him win. - Hassan beating Sabu was expected, and is a pretty lackluster end to the show tbh. - zOMG YEAH! Cash in! - Kurt Angle for the mother ing win! Yes! Great show with an unexpected end! Fantastic work, Matt!

Going to start replying to this, Matt. Very happy to seee Kurt Angle take the briefcase, much more credible than Credible (excuse the pun). Johnny Nitro as the new Television CHampion is great, hope he has a good reign. Glad that Rhyno won here, I'm a huge Rhyno fan. Surprised to see Jack Swagger win here, but glad as he gets a good push from this. WGTT as the new Tag Champions is good, hope they have a lengthy reign. Pleased to see RVD over Raven, never been a Raven fan. Definitely happy that Hassan retains the ECW Championship, I'm a huge Hassan fan. Woah... Kurt Angle cashing in? And he wins? I'm a Hassan fan, but I'm all for that, Kurt Angle ftw. Great way to close the show, I'll try my best to get into this.

this really does have the old ecw feel to it... the way heyman would take obscure and weird names, and make them promenent, and how the undercard would always have a show stealer... in this case, your tag team battles over the previous couple weeks. i love the mix of old ecw favorites, and some new names... swagger, burke, morrison, morgan... i could definitely see those guys being used well in the old ecw.
the angle/hassan feud should be fantastic. i actually wouldve preferred hassan retaining, though that mightve made angle look weak... but the chase could work in either direction, angle chasing hassan or hassan chasing angle.

ok, so I love this diary already! I just read HCS and it was awesome. Great amount of detail, little bit unrealisit in places (35 minutes for a tables match!) but other than that I cant fault it. I could totally see Angle winning the Title at the end, which makes me happy while saddens me.. It's awesome you're using Hassan though. Swagger getting the win, well, i hope he goes somewhere with it, squashing Dreamer is so 2008! Nitro winning the belt is <3 as was the sick descriptions of rhino's and rvd's win.
love it man, love it

-Angle beating Credible is great booking. -Yes! Nitro won the TV Title! Hope he gets a very long reign. -Rhyno beating Tanaka is the right call as it doesn't push Tanaka to fast. Seems you can do it but WWE can't. -Swagger beating Dreamer is good for his push as Dreamer won last time I believe. -The big tag match seems it'd go this long. Very happy that WGTT won. -RVD vs. Raven in a Dog Collar Match seemed brutal. More brutal than most of these matches. RVD winning is cool. -Short main event but glad Hassan retained. -Angle handing in the briefcase and winning the ECW Championship is amazing. Great ending.

ECW Hostile City Showdown: Tuesday 16th October 2007...Wow, we got to this show pretty quickly if you ask me. No commercials I like, especially with reasoning that Xbox funded for it, as the sponsor. Justin Credible's promo was pretty nice, but he has sank so much, and pathetic how Kurt Angle stole his Money in the Bank briefcase, truly. If you wanted the briefcase off of Credible, you should have done it like, months earlier. And this has ruined Credible's credibility. He needs fixing, to be honest, what a bad booking move; if you don't want him, don't push him. Not a good start, but energising for the fans. Johnny Nitro beating Monty Brown was a surprise with the ECW World Television Championship on the line, but with interference from Matt Morgan, it came as little surprise. I expect that this feud isn't over just yet. Rhyno and Masato Tanaka had a harsh match, very brutal encounter and Rhyno winning was for the best, since Tanaka is only an on-and-off performer in the company. Next, Jack Swagger beating Tommy Dreamer seemed very likely, not a bad match here but Swagger's push needs to slow down a little; it's going a little too quick. Amazing elimination tag team tables match with Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas beating New Breed and Paul London and Brian Kendrick is great; but the match went too long for what appears to be a two hour show with no commercials. In fact, even if it were three hours it takes up a bit of time. Next, pretty violent Dog Collar match between Raven and Rob Van Dam; hopefully the last of Raven we will see in the ring as his physical ability is declining. Wow, Raven got choked out, maybe a chance to kill him and the Disciples of the Apocalypse off? Good Muhammad Hassan defense of the ECW World Heavyweight Championship in a lacklustre main event. It seemed likely that Kurt Angle would take the win and he did, him as champ is good I guess. Now we have the chance for a USA vs Anti-USA storyline, which could be intense. A good yet up-and-down show.

- Kurt Angle getting the briefcase is meh to me. Credible isn't Credible anymore. - Nitro winning the TV Title is great. Hope he gets a lengthy reign with it. - Rhyno winning in a great match is good. Would of been fine either way. - Swagger beating Dreamer is predictable in this sense, and I like it. - WGTT winning the Tag Team Gold is great. But a very long match. - Rob Van Dam getting the win over Raven is acceptable in what was brutal. - Hassan and Sabu's match wasn't that great - but Kurt Angle cashing in after makes up for it.
Pretty good show, Matt.

-I was really surprised back when Credible won Money in the Bank, but glad since I always liked him. Surprised Angle took it from him so easily, I didn't like that much -Had a feeling Nitro would win the TV Title and having Morgan help him was the best way to keep Brown strong -Love that the WGTT are in ECW here -Tanaka/Rhino, if given the proper time could put on a brutal match and it seems like they did here. The piledriver spot was sick. Sad that Tanaka lost though -It's good to have Heyman in the audience to help put ECW over. Swagger over Dreamer was the right move, I have a feeling Swagger will be at the top of the brand soon -Swagger hitting Heyman with a gutwrench is great to get him heat -Miz/Angle is laughable -Awesome Tables match and so glad the WGTT got the win. They deserve another run with tag gold. Love that Haas hit the winning move. Not sure if it would get 35 minutes though -The choke out finish to the Dog Collar match was the right way to go, glad RVD won -Love that Hassan retained as I love him as Champion. Had a feeling Angle would cash in once he won it after Credible mentioned he was gonna cash in. Glad Hassan fought him off for eight minutes. Angle/Hassan has the potential to be a godly feud
Fantastic show, loved everything about it. From Angle being on ECW, to the WGTT winning the straps to the Dog Collar match to the cash in. Great stuff.

The Battle Rages On October 23, 2007 Cyber Chaos - The Pitbulls defeat Southern Miracle“Let the bodies hit the floor…” Pyrotechnics light up tonight’s arena live from Kansas City, Missouri! The crowd seems euphoric for what should be an action filled ninety minutes of Extreme Championship Wrestling. For well over a year now ECW has been the highest rated episodic television show on Sci-Fi! We are settling in the aftermath of the historic Hostile City Showdown. Tonight, our new ECW Heavyweight Champion, Kurt Angle, will be in action against the Miz! WELCOME THE NEW ECW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION…Kurt Angle comes out and is continuing his celebration from last week. He says that it is great to be back on ECW and for the first time he is ECW Heavyweight Champion. He puts over the ECW brand and says that he is going to become the greatest ECW Heavyweight Champion of all time. Tonight, he is facing the Miz and he is going to use him as an example. Anyone who steps into the ring with Kurt Angle is going to tap out! This brings out the Miz with his Entourage. The Miz is still whining that he should have won the Money in the Bank Briefcase and he should be the ECW Heavyweight Champion! He laughs that Kurt Angle thinks he is going to make him tap out. This causes a humorous back and forth argument between the Miz and Kurt Angle. The Miz eventually screams “I’m the Miz and I’m awesome!” The Miz leaves as Angle makes a joke that maybe he is going back to reality television. D.H Smith defeats “Killdozer” Brian Lee w/ Kevin Thorne & Ariel It was unusual to see Raven absent from the Disciples of Apocalypse’s side; however, Joey Styles explains that Raven has been seriously injured by the hands of Rob Van Dam. Smith is red hot and quickly growing on the audience. Lee managed to stay strong, but in the end Smith was able to put him away with the Running Powerslam! A LONE DISCIPLE…D.H Smith celebrates his victory as Ariel checks on Brian Lee in the ring. Kevin Thorne shocks the audience when he leaves ringside instead of checking on his fallen partner. Can this group coexist without Raven’s guidance? THE GREATEST IN THE WORLD…The new ECW Tag Team Champions, the World’s Greatest Tag Team, is in the back. The duo puts over their victory at Hostile City Showdown and that they finally ended the reign of terror of A New Breed. Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin are the greatest tag team in the world and they will destroy anyone who stands in their way. A MAN IS DEFINED BY HIS GOLD…ECW Television Champion Johnny Nitro is standing with Matt Morgan. Nitro is putting over his victory over Monty Brown and says Brown just could not cut it as ECW Television Champion. He says that tonight he has to face Sabu. What has Sabu ever done to earn a shot at Nitro’s championship! Tonight Sabu will be just another check on the list of victims. The Tag Team of London and Kendrick defeat the Full Blooded Italians This match was rather competitive and all four men shined. London and Kendrick are fighting to prove they deserve another shot at the ECW Tag Team Championships after losing in the tables match at Hostile City Showdown. As usual, the FBI is fighting is stay relevant and hopefully one day earn another shot at the tag titles. The match ends when London hits a Shooting Star Press on Tony Mamaluke. THE WHOLE F’N SHOW…Rob Van Dam is in the back. He puts over his victory at Hostile City Showdown and says that he has once again proven why they call him Mr. Tuesday Night. He says that it won’t be long until he is standing in the ring facing Kurt Angle for the strap, and when that day comes the championship is coming home with Rob…Van…Dam! KILLING EXTREME… Jack Swagger is in the ring and he says that there is not one ECW Alumni who can defeat the “All American-American.” Tommy Dreamer and Paul Heyman are sulking somewhere in a Bingo Hall because they fear the destruction that Jack Swagger will do to their bodies. He then calls out any ECW Original to face him right now! Jack Swagger defeats the Sandman by disqualification The crowd was ecstatic to see the Sandman return; Sandman also seems to be great shape and has cut down a lot of his weight. The match does not go long because after a few minutes of wrestling, the Sandman grabs his Singapore Cane and starts whacking Jack Swagger. Swagger flees from the ring victorious via disqualification, but the Sandman has obviously won this war. A SHIFT IN POWER…John “Bradshaw” Layfield is in the back talking about how happy he is, knowing that Raven is suffering in a hospital somewhere. Suddenly, his phone rings and he puts it on speaker. To the shock of the audience, they hear Vince McMahon’s voice. McMahon says he will be on ECW next week to make a big announcement about Layfield’s future. RETRIBUTION IS A BREED OF ITS OWN…A New Breed is standing by with Josh Matthews. Burke says that they lost fair and square, but their loss was a fluke. No team can fairly beat A New Breed, and soon the audience will realize that when A New Breed wins back their ECW Tag Team Championships! BEWARE OF THE GORE…Rhyno is banged up. He says at Hostile City Showdown he proved to the world that Rhyno still has “it.” Rhyno says that he is still a beast, a vicious animal, and soon he will be back in the ring hitting everything that moves with the GORE! GORE! GORE! The ECW Heavyweight Championship is rightfully his and he wants it back! Johnny Nitro defeats Sabu to retain the ECW Television Championship Matt Morgan was at ringside with Johnny Nitro for this contest. This was actually a shockingly good match, which is surprising after Sabu’s lackluster performance last night. The highlight of this match had to be when Sabu jumped off a chair, onto the ring ropes, and dived onto Morgan and Nitro. In the end Nitro was able to retain after Morgan smashed Sabu with a vicious chair shot, and Nitro nailed the Starship Pain! BEWARE THE ALPHA MALE…After the match Monty Brown hits the ring and starts raising all sorts of hell. Nitro retreats up the ramp but Matt Morgan is less fortunate as he receives the Pounce! Brown signals to Nitro that he wants his title back! LAST ACT OF POWER…Layfield is shown in his office and he seems a little weary of McMahon’s arrival next week. Layfield says that next week Monty Brown will team up with Sabu to take on Johnny Nitro and Matt Morgan. Also, A New Breed will receive their ECW Tag Team Championship rematch! Kurt Angle defeats the MizThe Miz is accompanied to the ring by his Entourage. This was not the squash match everyone thought it would be as the Miz actually put forward an impressive showing. The Miz actually got a decent amount of offense and was generating mind blowing heat. Eventually, Kurt Angle hit an impressive Olympic Slam, followed up by a brutal Ankle Lock. The Miz tried to fight it but had no choice but to tap. THE DARKNESS NEVER FADES… Kurt Angle is awarded his ECW Heavyweight Championship, but his celebration is shortly lived.”Anti-Christ” Muhammad Hassan hits the ring with his spike and viciously takes down Angle, busting him open in the back of his head. Hassan locks in a Camel Clutch and yells for Angle to tap! The shows goes off the air with Angle’s eyes rolling into the back of his head and Hassan not relinquishing the hold.

ECW on Sci-Fi: Tuesday 23rd October 2007...Ah, the Cyber Chaos; a very good exclusive to WWE.com, very nice idea indeed, and necessary at that with the size of the ECW roster, you can't fit it all into an hour and a half. The Pitbulls beating Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch is fine, but Cade and Murdoch really have been wasted since arriving on the brand, to be honest. Kurt Angle, the new ECW World Heavyweight Champion in the ring is fine, and nice idea for him to face The Miz with his Entourage. I would enjoy seeing this built into a Survivor Series match at uh, Survivor Series. DH Smith beating Brian Lee is fine, but the Disciples of the Apocalypse sure are slipping downhill since Raven was taken out by Rob Van Dam at Hostile City Showdown. The new layout does wonders for me. Kevin Thorne leaving Lee behind? Intriguing. Paul London and Brian Kendrick beating the Full Blooded Italians is fine, and a solid match there. Best men won in this exchange. Sandman losing in his return was unfortunate, but I see now why it happened, as Jack Swagger found himself getting a beating from a singapore cane. God, another new ECW General Manager? Vince McMahon needs to stop showing up for announcements; we all know it'll either lead the death of ECW, or a new GM. John Bradshaw Layfield's character is also confusing; he seems to act face sometimes but heelish at others. Good defense of the ECW World Television Championship by Johnny Nitro over Sabu. I just hope Sabu still remains fresh, though. Monty Brown taking out Matt Morgan was fine though, and a good tag team style situation you have here. New Breed taking on Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas for the ECW World Tag Team Championships next week sounds great. Predicted Angle taking out everybody of Miz's Entourage in a decent main event. Muhammad Hassan appearing came as no surprise, but wait; where was Rob Van Dam, and some of the other top contenders? I hope soon, Hassan is left injured or taken out of the main event picture as his presence is starting to annoy me now. A good show.

Good ECW. I was glad that Nitro retained, as I hate Sabu. That tag match next show should be pretty good though. Nice to see Swagger looking promising. Angle as champion is pretty good, gives a big name feel to it, and glad he defeated The Miz. I wonder if JBL will be fired, or kept around. Quite a bit going on, but it all was done well, the only thing that fell flat for me was the rhyno stuff, don't know why, just didn;t work for me
