Getting better Mattel. Wish the pants were a newer design but I'm sure we'll get some good repaints soon enough.

I want the figure, the only thing is I already have the first one. And I'm trying to not buy to many duplicates with Mattel, but I'll probably end up getting it anyway. It looks to good to pass up.

That is a great figure. The "stubble" looks kind of off...but it might be better in person. That is a really good headscan...seems like Mattel is getting better at scans here and there. I really hope I find a 1/1000 of this.

Then they whip this thing out and my jaw drops. This is NOT WM24 gear, this is RR05 gear. He was still wearing tights at the 2005 Rumble. www.wwe.com/shows/royalrumble/history/198811/photos/ The third and fourth pics are from his match with Edge. It was only shortly before WrestleMania that year that he started wrestling in the chaps-style pants. I think he means RR 06

Fig looks great but his stubble still looks like he was eating cheese doodles. Thanks for the pics. It's still miles better than Jakks' werewolf atrocities.

Did Shawn ever wear this attire with his beard?

Sorry but the Jakks Royal Rumble one was much better! I will get the 1/1000 HBK instead. Not even a matter of opinion; you're completely wrong.

Nonsense, the hearts on the Jakks figures are bigger than the ones on Mattel. Look at the pics of HBK posted. The circles on his chaps are not pure silver, they are circled in black. Then look at Mattel's version. It will sell cos it's HBK and he's (supposedly) retired, that's all. Mattel's attire is decent but not fantastic. And like Rey's pants, his attire is glossy not matte.

Awesome figure and definite buy for me. Odd attire choice as its kind of old .... I'm suprised it's not in his DX or WM25 attire, but it's a great figure!

People won't buy it because of circles on his pants, they'll buy it because of the accuracy of the figure itself. You're looking too far into it.

You're looking too far into it. but when a person says they like one figure better than the other and you say that someone is completely wrong (which IS your own opinion) then that person goes on to explain the reasons why they like the other figure better...but you say they are looking far too into it?? People will buy it because it's HBK...not because it's accurate. I bought almost every single Jakks HBK figure because it's HBK, don't really care how accurate or not they were. Actually I, too, think that RR Jakks HBK is better than this Mattel one. purplekangaroo's points are 100% correct. Add to that, the Jakks' red is darker & more accurate than Mattel's. Not to mention they didn't color his tattoo which people FLAMED Jakks for doing the couple of times they did it. It's not to say that this is a good figure by Mattel. It is. The scan is really good, the attire is fully detailed, but to point out that someone is wrong for thinking the Jakks one is better is just silly.
