I'm an athiest, i just can't buy into that whole god thing, and i won't understand anyone who bases their life on a very old, innaccurate and fictional book written by a nobody thousands of years ago.
When your gone your gone, science has pretty much proven that there isn't a god anyway.

I truly believe that whatever you are - Christian, Buddhist, Jewish, Atheist, and so forth - you should, at bare minimum, understand the fundamentals of what it is you believe, and be able to properly spell the proper name of your beliefs. That said...
...I find it humorous that an Atheist would start a thread inquiring about others religious beliefs when he himself has none. It'd be like me, who has absolutely zero knowledge about or interest in modern Swiss culture starting a thread asking about peoples' favorite aspects of modern Swiss culture...
...but since you asked, I'm an Agnostic, and I think most self declared "Atheists" are too. I'm a bold guy, but I'm not nearly bold enough to say that I know, without a shadow of a doubt, the secrets of creation, the meaning of life, and the answers to all mankind's otherworldly questions. Some are content to find those answers through Christianity, or Buddhism, or what have you. I do believe those answers are out there somewhere, but having explored personally the faiths of Catholicism and Protestant, I have yet to find the answer that works for me.

If I am anything, I guess I would most identify myself as a taoist.

No, he clearly said I was. Apparently we're all religions. You are free to worship me as much as you want. Worshipping me involves donating $$$ to my church. I'm like Scientology lite.

Pro-Science, Judeo-Christian Communist
I embrace modern scientific & historic teachings (big bang, evolution, early man, etc.), believe God made it all happen, ethnically Jewish and pro-Jewish, as well as pro-Christian (Jesus & his disciples were Jews), & believe in fiscal equality (but not the atheistic aspects of Marxism), and I do strongly oppose violent, Stalinist communism.

"You are religion" Why thank you!
I would consider myself Agnostic at the very least. I want to say there's maybe a "higher power" out there somewhere, but I cannot prove/disprove which one it is/whether or not that deity exists and we'll never know which is the "right" one. Which religion my family is generally brought up into however is Christianity.

I'm a Christian, but more along the lines of chippo upberhimers quote...I don't view Chrisitanity as an answer to the future....its a tool to be used here and now, to better others lives...
I'm reading a book by Shane Claiborne...its really messing me up to
