So funny that I was asked the question but the uninformed people who are NOT witnesses answered the question. Anyway if you truly want to know then PM me. Be glad to answer any questions you might have.
As far as other's saying that if you reject Christ as being GOD himself than you aren't Christian...Um...sorry? Show me where THAT is written in the Bible. I dare ya.
If what you say is true...Can God die? My Bible says no. Hab 1:12 Are you not from long ago, O Jehovah? O my God, my Holy One, you do not die.
Yet Jesus Died! If he were God, the scriptures would invalidate themselves would they not?

Yet Jesus Died! If he were God, the scriptures would invalidate themselves would they not? Whoa, whoa, whoa. Jesus came back to life my friend. He ROSE from the grave. He went through the terrible process of crucifixion to be the Ultimate Sacrifice. But in the end, he showed that not only himself, but WE, His people had power over death as well. As far as other's saying that if you reject Christ as being GOD himself than you aren't Christian...Um...sorry? Show me where THAT is written in the Bible. I dare ya. John 14:6 (New International Version)
6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.Says it right there. Only way to God is through Jesus. As far as Jesus dying, know this: Jesus could have pulled himself down from that cross at any time. He could have punished those who persecuted him right then and there. But, he didn't. Because he knew that if he did that, then all the work would be for nothing. You have to fully understand what it means for Jesus to die on the cross. Up until that point, the Jewish people made sacrifices to God for forgiveness of their sins. They sacrificed only their best animals, most of which were lambs. Jesus was the perfect 'lamb' because he never sinned ONCE. So, his death was our eternal sacrifice. He took our sins upon his shoulders, and died for us. But...then he rose from the grave, and proved that we have power over death. And today...we're awaiting his return. It could happen today, next week, or within the next five minutes. No one knows. But I believe that God is waiting as long as he can, until this world is so bad off that no more will come to him. It happened with the flood: He waited until there was only one righteous family left, Noah's. He's waiting, and it's my job, and other Christians job to bring others to him. I understand that there are different beliefs systems, but those are mine. And everything that Jesus did, or that happened to Jesus was prophecised in the Old Testament. He came, He saved, He was killed, and He rose from the dead. That's why I believe that he IS God's son.

Saying that Jesus died in NO way proves that he is God himself. I don't get your point. John 14:16 I agree with. But THAT does not say that Jesus is God. I totally believe what Jesus did. But again, none of the verses SAY that he is God himself. John 14:16 is mentioning two beings. God and Jesus. I see two. Don't you? For example: Like the only way to Tony Soprano is THROUGH Christopher Moltisanti. Still two people there.

How can you deny that Jesus is/was fully God when the Bible tags him as the Almighty? If Jesus has all the power then any other God(s) are completely powerless. Isa 9:6 - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (Emphasis mine) This is a clear prophecy of the Messiah. Note that he is described as both the Father and the mighty God. Then if you look in Revelation 1:8 it says: I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. (Again, the emphasis is mine.) If you've got a red letter edition, as most people do, then you see that these words are in red because they're the words of Jesus. It's very, very clear that he's claiming to be the Almighty. Whether you believe him or not is clearly up to you, but he is definitely claiming to be the Almighty. Read a little further and Revelation 4 describes one throne in Heaven and one sitting on that throne. I'm inclined to believe that the one sitting on the throne in Heaven is probably the Almighty God - Jesus.

I am not religious but I do and don't believe in God at the same time. However I don't believe in Heaven or Hell, I just believe that when you die, you become a ghost.

It just sickens me to see so many people blinded and lost. I'm really passionate about bringing people to Jesus. I'm probably going to get bashed by alot of people for my post, but if it helps one person come to Christ it will be worth it. I'm sorry but why are people blinded and lost for not following Christianity?

If you're trying to bring others to Christ, then your ideas of those who haven't found Christ, is that they are lost in the world. It doesn't make them bad people, it doesn't mean they're the Anti Christ. It just means that they haven't found their way to Christ. If you don't believe in him, then there's no need to even worry about that way of thinking.

It's cool if you wanna call God Jehovah, but that's a mistranslation. The God of the Hebrews is named YAHWEH. technically, its YHWH...there were now vowels There's many names, but that's besides the point. I do think it's great that you're a follower! I have a question though: I've grown up and attend a Church of Christ. What differences are there in being a Jehovah's Witness, or are there any major differences at all? I've always been curious. The biggest is that they don't believe Jesus was fully God....thus making much of what Christianity is void, as, if he wasn't, then it doesn't matter what He did You're right about YHWH, but I wanted to type it the other way so that folks would know how to pronounce it.

I'm inclined to believe that the one sitting on the throne in Heaven is probably the Almighty God - Jesus. Jesus has a position far higher than angels, imperfect men, or Satan. Since these are referred to as “gods,” mighty ones, surely Jesus can be and is “a god.” Because of his unique position in relation to Jehovah, Jesus is a “Mighty God.”—John 1:1; Isaiah 9:6. But does not “Mighty God” with its capital letters indicate that Jesus is in some way equal to Jehovah God? Not at all. Isaiah merely prophesied this to be one of four names that Jesus would be called, and in the English language such names are capitalized. Still, even though Jesus was called “Mighty,” there can be only one who is “Almighty.” To call Jehovah God “Almighty” would have little significance unless there existed others who were also called gods but who occupied a lesser or inferior position. THE Bible’s position is clear. Not only is Almighty God, Jehovah, a personality separate from Jesus but He is at all times his superior. Jesus is always presented as separate and lesser, a humble servant of God. That is why the Bible plainly says that “the head of the Christ is God” in the same way that “the head of every man is the Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:3) And this is why Jesus himself said: “The Father is greater than I.”—John 14:28, RS, Catholic edition. Look at John 1:18 No man has seen God and lived. Did people see Jesus? Of course.

Look at John 1:18 No man has seen God and lived. Did people see Jesus? Of course. Then please explain Matthew 28:18 where Jesus said, "All power in heaven and in Earth is given unto me." If Jesus is separate from God and Jesus has all power in heaven and Earth then God has no power at all. Also, how can you claim that Almighty Jehovah is separate from Jesus? Jesus is Almighty in Revelation. That means that either Almighty Jehovah and Jesus are one and the same or Jehovah is not really almighty. You can't have it both ways. The literal definition of almighty is "having unlimited power; omnipotent, as God."

I don't want to make two posts. How does one do it? So I will respond to only one until I get an answer. How is it Jesus is a liar? Did he ever HIMSELF say he was God? Revelation chapter 4 is not Jesus talking. It is God. Did you read Habbakuk 1:10? Jehovah or God cannot die. Yet Jesus died. THAT would make the Bible a liar if you say Jesus is God. If he WAS God then why didn't you make references to the scriptures I already listed? The father is Greater than I etc. If Jesus WERE God, that wouldn't make any sense. Why did Jesus PRAY to God if he himself were God? "Father remove this cup from me?" Ring a bell? Would it make sense if he were talking to himself? Again...Jesus DIED. If you say Jesus IS God then you are saying that God can die. Why didn't Satan fully take over when God died then? He didn't. Remember Jesus NEVER said he was God. He ALWAYS said he was....God's SON. Are you your own father? No of course not. You are two distinct individuals. So are Jesus and HIS father, God.

(John 1) The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only,d who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (Romans 9:5)For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form (Colossians 2:9)But about the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever, and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom. ( Hebrews 1:8)We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true—even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. (1 John 5:20)

Are you your own father? No of course not. You are two distinct individuals. So are Jesus and HIS father, God. I forgot, aruging with you never gets anyone anywhere, but I have to say, that Jesus did claim to be God, several times. John 8:58 (New International Version) 58"I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!" Emphsis is mine...in the OT, God tells Moses to say I am has sent him...and here, Jesus claims THE SAME NAME..and if i am not mistaken....I am is the translation of YHWH... How about where Jesus says I and the father are one? if you've seen me you've seen the father? How about the end of John when Thomas calls Jesus his God? If Jesus is not fully God, then Thomas was worshiping a false God, which is a major no no? ****EDIT***** Just saw that these were all posted above me lol The concept here is the trinity, and while that word is never mentioned in the Bible, it is alluded to all the time God is one, and three....its an odd thing, but it is and it may not make complete sense to us, but we are not God. things that don't make sense to us do to Him, as He is an all powerful being Now, a question to you BANE...it is my understanding that Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the 144,000 spoken if in revelation, are the only people to be in heaven, and that they are all JW's....so where does that leave the rest of them? As I am sure there are more than 144,000 JW's in the world to Stingersplash, Jehovah's Witnesses are not Christians, as the fundamental belief of Christianity is that Jesus died for our sins and rose again, and that He was God incarnate, that is, God in flesh form. To not believe this is to deny one of the fundamental beliefs of Christianity...WHICH IS FINE...but to claim to be a Christian and not believe this is not possible

Are you your own father? No of course not. You are two distinct individuals. So are Jesus and HIS father, God. Apparantly you're too simple-minded to understand. Jesus and God are one in the same along with the Holy Spirit. Jesus was God in human form. God became human. Jesus did these things in order to show us how to follow Him (God). Do you think Jesus had to be baptized? No he's God. Do you think he needed to pray? No, he's God. But he did these things in order to show us how we lived our lives. God is omnipotent. He's everywhere at once. If what you're saying is true, you're saying that God isn't omnipotent. That he can't be in Heaven and on Earth at the same time. If you're such an avid reader of the Bible, you can see that Jesus IS God.
Who other than God can forgive sins? Who other than God can heal the blind, deaf, lame, and lepers? Who other than God can forgive sins? Who other than God can cast out demons and make Satan tremble? Who other than God can grant power to others? Who other than God can raise people from the dead? Who other than God can raise himself from the dead.
No one that I know of...except Jesus.
It just sickens me to see so many people blinded and lost. I'm really passionate about bringing people to Jesus. Maybe sickened isn't exactly the word I was looking for. Maybe 'pained' perhaps?
The reason why I believe that is the fact that I have an awesome life in Christ. And I want other people to have that same awesome life. It just hurts me when people are missing out on something so great.

Wait a minute now...Now what are you saying? First you say Jesus is God...Now that you are saying God is a trinity....Which one is it? Pick one. Your father argument holds no water I don't care enough to PM you about that question and, the bolded part? the two options are not exclusive

It all boils down to the fact that we as humans, are too simple-minded to understand how God can be three-in-one. Some of us (Christians) continue to follow, and have faith in Him, even though we don't fully understand. We trust his judgement and his words.
Now, there are others that cannot understand, like everyone else, but instead of believing what he says, they invent something that makes it more convienient for them. That's why JW's believe Jesus isn't God, is because they cannot understand the Trinity. Since they have minds of humans, like the rest of us, they cannot comprehend things of God. They choose to create their own beliefs system, and we follow what God says.
