Ok - let me preface my post by saying I'm an old school wrestling figure collector - old enough to remember Hogan beating Sheik for his first world title.
As such - I collected WWF LJN figures, WWF Hasbro figures and WWE Jakks Classic Figures. In turn - I decided to end my collection there - but of course, many collectors have jumped aboard the Mattel wagon. To each their own I say!
So, my question is for the Mattel community - do you still buy already produced WWE Jakks figures (assuming you did before?). Or - have you parted with your set?
Consider this my 'market research' question of the day! Eager to hear your thoughts.

I would part with most of my Jakks figs but I really don't think anyone would want them and I am not the type of guy to throw them out.

I never bought many Jakks figures anyway, and haven't bought any since the Mattel figures came out.

Only Jakks figure I bought in 2010 was PPV Cyber Sunday Jeff Hardy because I never found it before, but they rereleased everything so it was easy to find

I only buy/keep the wrestlers that are currently in TNA unless Jakks will make better figures.

Thanks for the responses so far...keep them coming.
Also - if I may - as a Mattel collector, are you still prone to go back and buy previously released Jakks figures?

No I don't buy Jakks anymore, but that's because I have all the ones I wanted with the exception of a couple exclusives (Flair black robe & debut Mankind) but I won't pay secondary market prices for them. But my Jakks CS are still displayed. Why would I get rid of them? And once the new Jakks Legends line is released I'll be getting the guys I liked there as well. I already pre-ordered Sting & Steiner a couple months back.
But then again as far as wrestling figures go I don't consider myself a "Mattel" or "Jakks" collector I'm a wrestling figures collector so if I like the wrestler/figure I'm going to buy it no matter what company makes it. Just like with my Batman/DC collection I have Mego, Hasbro, DCD, Mattel, fast food toys, statues all displayed, because I have more than one shelf to display them on.

I have sold some of my Jakks since, but always feel bad afterwards. Wont be getting rid of my favourites and firsts, or any of my classics.

I'm keeping mine, but trading out a JAKKS version for a Mattel version. Won't really do it for classic though. Just current WWE. Matel isn't going to make many of the people I have in JAKKS form.

I have kept mine... See my current fed rosters: I've obtained many more Mattel figures since these photos, but I think they are a good fit for one another. And, yeah I'd still buy Jakks figures if I found a good deal on something I missed. I plan on buying some TNA/Legends stuff too.

Oh, and if you're going to try to be a smart-ass on the Internet, learn the difference between "you're" and "your." You'll look like less of an idiot. Folks who have been selling off their Jakks stuff, have you been getting decent prices on it? I have about 300 Jakks figures (mostly given as gifts) that I have no need for.

i sold most of my collection last fall, i have about 20 left, mostly CS. But I think Ill put them up on ebay and put whatever money I make towards a few mattels. I got my first ones today and compared to jakks, they just look alot better. So im not planning on buying any more jakks.

I only part with them if I can get something for them. Therefore, I trade them at the flea market for Mattels. Of course, by the time I get back home it will be August and who knows what the Jakks demand will be then. The Classics I will keep the way they are.
