I know many ppl ask this but is they going to keep the belts unified and make a new belt or is they going to split the belts back to Raw & Smackdown?

no point of splitting the belt due to the lack of teams
but wwe seem to be building up their tag division, with the colons reuniting and Y2AWESOME

I highly doubt they're splitting the belts again any time soon. Hopefully they make some new belts though.

I dont see why they still have two sets of belts if the titles are supposed to be "unified".

They need to just have 1 set of belts..I'm hoping for an all new design on them if they ever make them

I don't see them splitting and going back to a set for Raw and a set for SmackDown! any time soon. I would like to see the old school 90's titles back, since they are back to one set of champions. Or create a whole new belt, not carry around 2 for each person.

Think of the undisputed title in boxing, All Japan's triple crown and unified tag titles, etc.
I love that they didn't make a new belt it looks awesome for them to carry them both around.

I also like keeping the belts separate. To me it makes the "unified" part mean a little more. Like when Jericho & Triple H were Unified Heavyweight champion, it was a little more pride inducing to see 2 belts than when it went to 1 belt for Hogan, Undertaker, & Brock. |

Finally someone brought up the AJPW Triple Crown. Seriously, those 3 titles were unified under the Triple Crown banner in 1989, and they have remained the 3 separate title belts to this day. I don't see why they have to create a new single set of belts for the unified tag title, other than the last time WWE had a really big unification, it was the WWF and WCW World titles, and sometime after their unification, a new single belt took the place of 2 separate world titles (in regards to big unifications, I don't count the IC title's unification with the European title or the World title, as it didn't really matter in the long run, it was just a means to write off a lesser belt, and they simply just stopped using the lesser belt of the two unified). Personally, I prefer them carrying around both sets. Having both belts being carried under a unified banner invokes the unique heritage and lineage of both tag titles that compose the Unified Tag Title. Having both physical titles around keeps that in mind. -CMD |

No way, two belts makes them look really important. Proves why you can go on RAW and Smackdown when you win them. Double titles = cool.

Creating new titles will just be a waste, because they are losing their importance and prestige as it is and making a completely new belt will just decrease it even more.
Plus, as people have said, it's the RAW and SD tag team titles combined, and by having both belts, it emphasizes how the titles can be defended on either brand.
The belts have only been split for about 7 years, leave them alone. It's like people wanting a new Intercontinental title as well... why? The belt looks great and has a lot of history and prestige. Don't ruin it.
