ONE WEEK AWAY. Can't wait for this fight. The episodes of Primetime have been great. The co-main event has changed due to Griffin pulling out of his fight with Nogueira, which sucks because I was really looking forward to that fight. Oh well. UFC 114 ''RAMPAGE VS. EVANS'', 5/29/2010 (PPV/Spike TV/ESPN-UK) MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas NV1. Middleweight Bout: Jesse Forbes vs. Ryan Jensen2. Lightweight Bout: Aaron Riley vs. Joe Brammer 3. Light Heavyweight Bout: Luiz Cane vs. Cyrille Diabaté4. Lightweight Bout: Melvin Guillard vs. Waylon Lowe 5. Lightweight Bout: Efrain Escudero vs. Dan Lauzon 6. Welterweight Bout: Amir Sadollah vs. Dong Hyun Kim7. Welterweight Bout: Diego Sanchez vs. John Hathaway 8. Light Heavyweight Bout: Antônio Rogério Nogueira vs. Jason Brilz 9. Heavyweight Bout: Todd Duffee vs. Mike Russow 10. Middleweight Bout: Michael Bisping vs. Dan Miller11. Light Heavyweight Bout: Quinton Jackson vs. Rashad Evans *Fights 5 & 6 will be broadcasted LIVE on Spike TV before the PPV at 9pm ET
The hardest fights to pick to me are Kim vs. Sadollah and Bisping vs. Miller. I think Kim is going to be way too tough for Sadollah's striking and will be able to use his judo against him. The real question is if Kim won't gas out in the middle of the fight, which I hope doesn't happen. Real glad this one makes TV. Miller vs. Bisping is hard too because Miller is pretty good on the ground. Even Maia couldn't submit him, and he has (at best) decent striking enough to take it to the ground. The only problem I see here is Bisping's striking being better than his, which will probably happen, but we'll see. I'm also real pissed off that Diabaté/Cane isn't on the main card or Spike TV card. Hope one of the fights ends quick so we can see this one because Diabaté is a beast.

As much as I like Rashad, I'm hoping Rampage knocks his head off.

I don't see how anyone thinks Rashad would win, Rampage has way better wrestling that Rashad, may not be as decerated but better. Rampage's boxing is better too, Rashad can throw kicks but Rampage's hands are always up! Rampage's chin is also alot better, and Rampage is the harder hitter aswell. The only thing I can think that will go against Rampage is his "ring rust".

What really scares me is Dana announcing this is a #1 contender fight.
I think that announcing that a fight will be for the next title shot is ruining what could be explosive matches. Josh Koscheck was content to lie on Paul Daley at UFC 113 in order to win his title shot. Hopefully Rampage/Evans is NOT going to turn into a lay-and-pray fight now that the announcement was made that the winner will get a title shot. A UFC 105 fight between Mike Swick and Dan Hardy was an uneventful decision, too. I think the announcement for the next title shot should be made after these fight, and the fighter should have earned or finished the fight to get it.

Something tells me that Rampage, even with the title shot on the line, isn't going to lay and prey on Rashad, and I personally can't see Rashad getting Rampage to that point.

I was referring to Rashad, since he had lots of fun laying on Thiago Silva to stay away from his striking.

What a journey it would be to have Rampage go through Rashad, get his rematch with Rua, and win back his title.

I don't think he'll be able to beat Shogun. He overwhelmed Rampage last time.

I'd give the fight to Shogun myself, but that'd be quite a story.

I guess I'm the only person who wants Rashad to win. But I think Rampage is too big and will take the W.

With Shogun and Rampage being my favorite fighters at a tie right now(more so Shougn than Rampage because I think he lost his heart for it), I don't think Rampage could be Shogun, The clinch defense and leg kicks are not Rampages strong point and Shogun is a beast with both.

I just don't see any possible scenario where Rashad wins. He is faster and has really good wrestling....but Rampage has fought BETTER wrestlers than Rashad. He has faced strikers as fast as Rashad....Rashad has never fought anyone with the kind of raw power that Rampage has. The only way Rashad wins is if Rampage goes in this fight not in shape and his mind on his lame ass A-Team movie.
I hope Rampage wins. Rua vs. Rampage II would be a dream come true. An in-shape Rampage that has a good training team means the fight would look nothing like the first fight. I am a big Shogun fan but to say Rampage has no shot is just silly....everyone said he had no shot against Wandy for the third time and he proved everyone wrong...then everyone blamed it on Wandy's age and his chin...
