All those things considered, a lot of people didn't want Rashad to leave the octagon on his own behalf, let alone win the fight. Mix those feelings, with Shogun's rise, and you've got a hell of an underdog complex.

Shogun is an amazing fighter without a doubt, but so is Rashad. Nobody expected him to win against Rampage, but I thought he was the overall better fighter so I picked Rashad. Plus, he is a favorite of mine. I see Rashad either sneaking out a decision on Shogun, or Shogun knocking out Rashad early on.

I realize I am biased, but even at that, I have a hard time seeing Rashad winning this...Shogun is much better than Rampage, and its not even close

It is just so hard for me to pick a winner for Shogun vs. Rashad.
You have two guys who I thought would never EVER be fighting each other..much less for the title...when Shogun entered the octagon and lost to Forrest and had that horrible performance against Mark Coleman a lot of people (not everyone) thought that he was done...that he was a shell of his former self and blah blah blah. Then he KO'd Liddell and everyone attributed it to the fact that Liddell was done rather than giving Shogun his credit(I'm included in that)...but then he beat Machida twice(I don't give a f*** what anyone says..he beat him twice) and now it is like Shogun turned the whole LHW division upside down because many thought Machida would be champion for a long time.
then Rampage vs. Rashad....wow. I couldn't give Rashad a chance at all. After watching his performance against Thiago Silva and how he was almost finished but then Thiago hesitated I figured that Rampage would run right through Rashad because Rampage wouldn't hesitate.. That didn't happen at all. Rashad basically controlled the tempo of the fight on the feet and on the ground.
so Rashad vs. Shogun is a very interesting fight imo. You got a guy who is ALWAYS the underdog and a guy who is back on the rise to complete domination of his weight division.. I won't even pick a winner for that one. I will just be watching.
I'm really interested to see where the LHW division goes from here..will we see the title change hands again or will we finally have a champion that can match the reign that Liddell had as champ.
I will be REALLY interested to see what happens after the Liddell/Franklin fight. I don't care what anyone says...how it is going to be Liddell's last fight or whatever..if he dominates Franklin I guarantee Dana will give a couple more fights.

The problem is, I don't see Liddell dominating Franklin... at all.

I don't either...Franklin is one of my absolute favorites and I don't understand at all why he is so underrated. I'm just saying IF Liddell by some miracle did win by KO Dana would give him some more fights.
I also don't understand why he basically wasted a year of his fighting career with all these dumb fights (Belfort, Wanderlei, and Henderson). I thought all of those fights were amazing but they did nothing for him as far as ranks go. But I know he has said he doesn't care about anything but having big fights that the fans will love..so whatever.

What? I think the Henderson fight meant something. It was at 205. The other fights maybe you're right about, because of them being at 195.

well the Henderson fight didn't make sense because it was a fight for who was going to coach TUF:UK vs. USA. Which had Bisping as the other coach. Bisping being at 185. But the fight was at 205? It was just a weird fight. What if Franklin won? He would have fought Bisping and been back at 185 where he already knows he can't beat the current champ? It was an odd situation....but a really good fight.
