Just an observation: this thread was read 1,893 times with 58 responses, Customania 2010 read a liitle over 800 times with ten responses, just an observation. Great observation, John.

Oh my I'm sure this will start a huge fight thread but I too had issues with him. I think almost everyone that dealt with him has at one point or another. I got the ' I'M GOING ON VACATION LINE AND ' I HAVE A SICK FAMILY MEMBER IN THE HOSPITAL LINE. Almost all of the customizers on here will stick up for him but the guys just plain shady and I mean shady. You'll probably get your stuff but on his time table and when it benefits him and only him. I think what he does is puts a 'stock' photo of one custom on his ebay pics then when you buy said fig he then makes it. I can see the point in that if it doesnt sell he's stuck with that fig but you just paid for a fig that he probably didnt make yet and now you will have to wait for it. Which is kinda wrong he should put that in his description before you buy. I dealt with him numerous times and every time the delay and excuses were longer and longer. Oh well thats my opinion and I'm entitled to it. You do know he's been banned on here for quite awhile now. He lied to you when he said he wasnt a member here he's none other then the infamous gatecitysinner. Sounds like a piece of ****. Why doesn't he just say "Once you order, it will take a while to ship because I have to make the figure first" on his listing? Highspots has to do that for custom orders. Wouldn't it be shady if Highspots.com was saying they have a sick relative in the hospital, while your order is being made for like 6 weeks?

Also, yeah he is pulling a fast one because you can go to any library to use a computer with internet. I had to do that when we had no internet, and I sold about a dozen items on-time.
Not only that - - Dude can use somebody else's computer.
You really need to get on eBay and get on his case about it.

Hey I wonder if the guy, the special one, who started this thread ever got his fig from Tony?

Ahhhh I wouldnt say that it just seemed funny to me that a lot more people looked at this than Customania after we got into the whole what belongs on this page and doesnt bickerfest. I am not saying Custommania was an epic fail or anything like that just that this thread had more looks. Heck its been read almost 500 times since last night alone!

But that's nothing new, people look at bullcrapfixups and repaints more than extensive customs too. It's disheartening that the art of customizing is so underapreciated.

Honestly, if this thread was about anyone other then Gate it wouldnt be this long and would have passed off by now. Gate, who does great work, just has shitty character. There is a reason he's no longer on the board and soon enough he'll be gone from Ebay as well (again I believe). He really just needs to grow up and get his craptogether. There is nobody to blame for any of his problems but himself.

I used to know Tony quite well and bought about five customs off him total a few years back. My earliest transactions with him went great and he was a pleasure to do business with. At one point, I even considered Tony to be a friend of mine. However, as time went on, our relationship strained. I remember buying a Low-Ki custom off him and never thinking I'd get it. However, after several months of waiting, I finally did. I was shocked the day the figure arrived at my doorstep because I thought he had given up on me. The best advice I can give you is to be patient. The more you nag him, the more he tends to wait things out longer. Quite frankly, Tony's a pretty weird dude and you'll just have to bear with him. If worse comes to worse, file an eBay complaint and you should be able to get your money back. At this point, I can only wish you the best, man. lol sounds like the promo cena about batista

Yeah, I sort of thought this board had something to do with posting your work and, I know this part sounds crazy, but possibly, just possibly getting some real feedback from others aside from "yeah, that's cool" or "no, that's crap." I've seen some great work here, but I agree, there's a lot more that's a waste of time. Before anyone threatens to kill my dog, I'd like to add that though I don't make customs of pro wrestlers or do a lot with part swapping and so on, I am still trying to customize figures and would like to know where, if anywhere, on this entire forum I can post my work to get feedback as far as the craftsmanship side goes.

You posted your work, it was read 99 times and I think one guy commented on it. You do know you are posting non wrestling custom figs on a wrestling fig website right? And why would you comment on this thread unless you had some dealings with Gate? Its not this threads fault no one is commenting on your work. I personally like your custom figs though.

Nah, I know that it's not cuz of this thread, but I just saw what someone had said that had a good point and I decided to piggyback. I guess I'm just asking where should I go as far as custom figure forums for real input? The only reason I went with this board is because 1)I'm a longtime fan of wrestling and 2) wrestlers are almost always the base models for my violent, little plastic people. I've even seen some people offer advice on work and things like that, but I've yet to get any constructive criticism and I guess I'm just jealous lol. If there is anyone willing to give good advice or critique craftsmanship, I'll give Karma. Any help is appreciated.

Well.....someone did enter customs made of toothpicks. So dont go gallopping off into the sunset just yet.

i applaud bio's toothpick work, it took balls to try something like that on such a tiny scale. I'd rather see that then the 800th C.M. Punk with added chest hair.

This thread has now been read over three thousand times, it should be stickied so as anyone with any questions about buying customs off this guy can come here and see for themselves. I mean really who protects the buyer if they get screwed on a custom deal? Paypal? Your bank?

I mean really who protects the buyer if they get screwed on a custom deal? Paypal? Your bank? We cant do that. If we stickied threads for every bad trader, there would be countless pages of it. I know he is a more notorious one, but since his transgressions are taking place on ebay.....its more of an issue to be tackled with on ebay. Its always buyer beware with ebay. They have a transaction report that you can click and see that he has had issues in the past. Dont buy from someone thats like that and if you are....MAKE sure you use paypal for payment and stay protected.

i won a KILLER red mattel sting custom on ebay and its been 10+ days without him returning my emails.
believe me, i REALLY REALLY want the figure, but after reading these experiences, i may just ask for a refund. i have too much money tied up into the purchase that i would rather just get my cash back than sit around getting frustrated at the dude

Yeah. All of his auctions that ended last week are ALL back up. Elite AJ Styles, American Wolves, Christopher Daniels, RVD... if all of these stories are true, I hope nobody bids on anything from this scumbag.
