Hi all..
Just wondered if anyone has ever seen, or owns the above. I'm trying to get two complete sets of summerslam cards, one WITH and one WITHOUT official above the WWF logo.
After picking up Snuka WITHOUT official today, I now have all the single carded figures bar Dusty (who wasn't released WITH) on both cards - except Honky. I can't recall ever seeing one WITHOUT official.
Maybe it's common and I just haven't found one yet, or maybe it wasn't released? Come to think of it, I can't recall ever seeing the normal Honky WITHOUT official either?
Can anyone help,
Cheers..

Yeah - might be a long shot Paul, i cant imagine people take to much notice of a little logo on the card! But hey, someone might check they're collection and find one. Ill see what i can do mate, before i box all my figures up.

Both my Honky Tonk Man figures, one Summerslam and one regular, have Official on them.

My Honky Tonk Man also has official on it as well. The ASST# for mine is 7038/7020. If he were released he should have been in more than one assortments that were shipped. Maybe you can ask Hasbromanic as I know he has some knowledge on the Assortments that were shipped for each wave.

Honky was not released with the 1st wave of that assortment that went came out in January of 91. He replaced Dusty in shipments that went out in June 91 and beyond and that was the debut of the Official logo. There were never any Honkys without the official logo.

Just looked at my Summer Slam Carded figures. All of them have "Official" except for the Bushwhackers?!? I din't even know they were regularly released with and without the "Official" logo.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to reply.
Hollywood237 - cheers for the interesting info, atleast now I know I can end my search for Honky. No wonder I couldn't find him.
Cheers.

Even though you've got your answer, I'll confirm the info. Honky only comes on 3 different US cardbacks:
w/official, no SS sticker w/official and SS sticker w/official and collector's card sticker

no problem....i went nuts lookin for Honky. he wasnt in the 1st wave , but he was in the single figures commercial. then it was the rhythm and blues tag team i was looking for ( which never happend of course). then the the 2nd line of 91 figure came out with the 2nd hulk, snuka, 2nd dibiase and 2nd macho but NO HONKY!!! then my friend called me on my birthday in June and he had found Honky @ a nearby Bradleess store. My uncle rushed there after work and got him for me. I noticed the new official logo and when i eventually went to the store, i noticed that all the figures were from the 1st 91 wave minus Dusty all with the new offical logo above the wwf. and dusty was never to be seen again.

Hollywood - thanks for the info and the interesting stories. Sounds like you're into your Hasbros, shame we don't hear more from you in this section of the Forum.
Paul - added a few pictures of all my Summerslam collection in my other thread.
Cheers all.

It's funny you mention Bradlee's as where you found Honky. Until the massive wave of figures that hit KB in 95/96, I never saw Honky anywhere BUT Bradlee's and he warmed the shelves pretty badly there. I, like you, also was in a permanent search for Rhythm n Blues. Weird, weird stuff! Also, I remember finding Dusty in May 1991 after looking and looking and looking but remember him sitting on the shelf for months after that. So weird that he was that tough to find.
