Today on Right After Wrestling, hosted by Arda Ocal and Jimmy Korderas, ROH Tag Team Champion Claudio Castagnoli joined the program. Highlights:
- How Jim Cornette has helped ROH on HDNet, and it`s development over the past year and a half
- Not having spoken with Bryan Danielson but knowing his release is legitimate
- Previewing Death Before Dishonor 8, talking about the fans in Toronto vs fans around the world
- Chatting about the World Cup, wanting to tweet every day about matches and becoming a soccer commentator
Also on the program, Jimmy Korderas outlines a sequence in the NXT Rookie`s attack on John Cena last week on RAW, that could have cost Heath Slater his job - after the Skip Sheffield close line, Slater grabs the loose ring rope and begins to choke Cena with it as he is lying on the canvas. Jimmy feels Cena alerted him not to do this mid-choke, and Slater promptly stopped.

As I recall, the other rookies told him not to, but that was only because they were setting up the Daniel Bryan/Your Not Better spot.

I heard all last week about that and can someone get it right for once?
Slater did not choke, nor did he stop mid-choke because mid-choke never happened! He picked up the loose Rope, put it on Cena's neck, but very early into his pushing down of the Rope he pulled it up and threw it to the side. Slater merely put the Rope on Cena's neck, very gently pushed down then moved on.
That said, so glad Slater was alerted by Cena. Not like they should have known that already or anythting from Vince or a Road Agent backstage before the attack.

Too bad he didn't get fired.
Don't care for him at all.
Might as well release him and a couple of the others once this angle is done since I doubt they keep getting reactions.
But he should thank Cena.

The termination of Bryan was over choking Justin Roberts with his tie.
They almost fired Slater for doing the same thing to Cena with the ropes.
It has to do with the Benoit murders. They don't want anybody strangling anybody and that's why you don't see that stuff since then. They used to choke with the production crew's cables every PPV.
