Nice list, I'd agree with most of yours. I'd take Ricky Steamboat out of the bottom, I know people don't like the jumpers but I really liked this figure. I'd put both Rick Rude and 123 Kid in the worst, these and the Ric Flair were the worst. There playability was not good. Top 12: Hulk Hogan #1 Ultimate Warrior #1 Jake the Snake Andre the Giant Ultimate Warrior #2 Macho King #2 Brutus Beefcake #2 Mr. Perfect #1 Greg Valentine Undertaker #1 Virgil Bret Hart #2 Worst 12: Rick Rude Ric Flair 123 Kid Jimmy Snuka Hulk Hogan #2 Brutus Beefcake #1 Macho Man #4 Demolition Ax Bushwacker Butch #1 Bushwacker Luke #1 Bushwacker Butch #2 Bushwacker Luke #2
Interesting list -- so high on the early figures. I really do think they got better as they went, personally. Almost all of my favorites are from the 3rd wave of Blue Cards and up...
Yeah, I tried to go with look and playability. I feel the first 5 or so series had that. Though, a lot of the later series had great deco/paint jobs but a lot of them were repaints with re-used parts from the earlier series'. I believe all with the exception of a few figures (papa shango, yokozuna, repoman, doink) in the later series re-used parts, whereas the 1st five series pretty much all had new molds/parts.

http://instagram.com/p/CaaQn6jvQ4Y Matt Cardona burns an autographed Hasbro 1-2-3 Kid to promote an indy show that will draw less money than what that figure couldve fetched on ebay.

That's amazing crush -- I'm so happy for you. I had the opposite happen -- I thought I had my entire Hasbro collection (everyone but Nailz and a few repaints) -- and realized half were gone, including so many of my favorites -- Razor, Bam Bam, Crush -- I still cannot figure what happened, and it still makes me sad. Love your story/pictures

The cabinet I keep my MOC Classic Superstars on is quite big, but I'm moving my Classics into another room I'm decorating in the summer so I'm still left with the cabinet in my room. Didn't know what to do with it. I have a small loose collection of Hasbro's, but I've decided the cabinet will be used for Hasbro's only so I've got my checklist at the ready and I'm going for a full loose set that'll really get going in the summer!
Saying that, I'm buying the red Yokozuna off of my mate tonight so that's a good one to add already!

I LOVED this figure growing up -- it's such an amazing release. I played with him so much, what a perfect heel!

I can see why, holding this in hand it really is an amazing figure. One that I really want to get is Giant Gonzales, I cannot wait to get that one!

I can't believe Hasbros are over 30 years old and still more popular than ever before. What an incredible line of wrestling figures that have stood the test of time.

I can't believe Hasbros are over 30 years old and still more popular than ever before. What an incredible line of wrestling figures that have stood the test of time. Yeah, it was a great line. They had a lot of big names sprinkled in with very toyetic names as well. It's amazing, there are 3 to 4 companies trying to copy what they did 30 years ago, and none have lived up to the look and feel of the line. Even with all the updated technology, Hasbro are still much better than what the other companies are doing today.

Hello. What would you all value a Hogan mailaway bag at? No clue what I could get for it. Just the bag. No figure.

My guess? $75-$150 or so.
Last year I sold the card/bubble for a 123 Kid figure for around that same amount and I think a mail away bag might be able to fetch that depending upon condition and authentication.

I've literally only just noticed that the cardback for the Red card series has a mock-up of Mr. Perfect that doesn't resemble his actual figure. Probably already discussed at some point, but does anyone have any details on that?

Probably already discussed at some point, but does anyone have any details on that? To the best of my knowledge, the black and white picture was always “wrong” on every card back and not just the red card. He was leaning and appeared to have a shorter or differently-angled arm. It bothered me as a kid but I actually preferred the execution of the figure much more. What does change is his singlet being colored in at times:
