yup, couldn't take it anymore, i had to make a masked punk head to temporarily replace the standard CM Punk head... here it is (along with other fixups i did - elbowpad, chesthair, trademarked tats and i made his attire Chicago Bears colors - represent!!)     it was my first time ever using sculpty clay. i know it looks a little sloppy up close, but up on my shelf it looks great. the head was a Jakks RA Edge (RA29) i buzzed the hair and sculpted the mask in the wee hours of a sleepless night. my white paint is clumping like crazy from the heat in my apartment, so that's why the white might look lumpy. and since it's RA, it sits up a little higher on the neck than Mattel heads, but it's not too noticable. one last piece of self criticism - i know that when punk wore these colors late last year, the color scheme on the boots was slightly different - if anyone has good pics of his boots from when he wore them (TLC last year?) could you PM them to me? i'd love to make it more accurate. other than all that, have fun with it. |

a very nice custom man 9/10 a little sloppy but I like the pepsi logo which most ppl fukk up. but I am tired of seeing people doing custom CM PUNKS it's getting old....

It's decent, and better then a lot I've seen on here sure it has it's sloppy points but nobody is perfect. Here are my tips if you want...
1) The eye holes need to be shaped a little more accurately
2) Can sculpted a beard for his actual look
3) Besides the fabric mask their is a leather stitched lining you can probably add using a different tone black
Other then that the gear is cool, like the elbow pad, tattoos and chest hair.

thanks for the advice, CKO. i gave the beard and detail a shot (the beard came out awesome IMO, and the rest is still a little sloppy - but good enough -- for now.) - also, when baking, the sculpty, i warped Punks torso slightly!! eek, i'll have to remember that laundry takes more than "just a minute" to bring downstairs. it's funny how i didn't realise just how sloppy it looked til i looked at pictures i posted. derrr.  |

the head is one of the better jobs I've seen done. nice work. I'm also glad you didn't wreck the mattel head to do it and instead just used a spare edge head.
also, bears colors = total win...but his attire in the bears colors was more between a navy and royal blue...not navy like the bears actual colors

No problem, it looks really good might I suggest using Apoxy Sculpt vs using sculpty its what I use for my customs and it doesn't involve baking, it hardens after a couple hours and is great to work with, I don't have the web site right now but if u search the name you can probably find it if not I'll PM the link to you later but its 2 compounds you mix together and once mixed it will harden in time. |

greatpaint job keep it up. imo i dont like the mask people is making on all the cm punk figures bc the figs gonna be outdated in a few weeks when he finally takes the mask off. imo people shouldve made removable masks instead of sculpting mask on his head.
