The surge in Afghanistan under his watch has worked.
David Petraus has said that the number of Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan is either in the double digits or absent altogether.
So we must thank this man for ridding Afghanistan of Al-Qaeda.
He should stay on board.

He didnt do the complete worse.. He definitely didnt lie..
I mean he just said what everyone in the military is thinking about Obama..
The Obama administration is slowly finding out that the truth hurts a lil' bit.

The Obama administration is slowly finding out that the truth hurts a lil' bit. I don't think he said anything too bad. Just that Obama was intimidated and uncomfortable around the military brass. I'd feel intimidated too all these heroes around me and I'm a nothing compared to these guys.

It's lame that no one's allowed to criticize Uncle Barry, unless you're a radical Rush Limbaugh-type. But when someone who's "supposed" to be unbiased simply voices a negative opinion on Uncle Barry, he gets flack. He's entitled to his opinion, sheesh.

Military commanders should be allowed to come out and say what they want about the war they are fighting. They are the one's commanding the war. The President is picking the mission, the Commanders are carrying it out. If there is a better way to do it, they should speak up and tell us that the President is wrong.

Baroldo never fought in a war or even served in the military, let the man who knows how to do his job, do his job.

And before that JFK? I'm not sure if Johnson, Nixon or Ford served. I'm pretty sure Carter never did. I'm sure Reagan was always in movies and never served. But for sure, the last 3 President's we've had haven't had to fight in any war. Obama should have listened to McChrystal and given him exactly what he wanted and the time line to do it in and all the necessary technology, weapons, armor we have to offer.

Agreed. All Presidents should let the military leaders do their jobs.

Nevertheless, that's the way it is. You toss your boss under the bus in public, you lose your job. That's life. Apparently he's been relieved.

The only good thing about this, is that he is being replaced by David Petraeus.

The way I see it is, people have freedom of speech. People have the right to their own opinion. McChrystal voiced his opinion.
I swear if it was possible, Obama would have a dictatorship right now.

Like I said, please go out to the media and throw your boss under the bus. Then see how long you stay employed. Freedom of Speech doesn't mean freedom from the consequences of what you say.

This is not a citizen talking smack about an employer, this is not a case of someone voicing there opinion. In a military command, you take orders from the higher ups, and you deal with the order, unless it is immoral. Even if the order is stupid, you take the order and move on. You question the orders, or the guy giving the orders, and you are done. Same thing would have happened to a Lt. Coln. under McChrystal. SO relax.

Sort of a side note to this story, but I've really enjoyed watching the TV news talking heads act all surprised that Rolling Stone got this story and they didn't.
Rolling Stone's been knocking it out of the park for at least two years now with their coverage of the government, wall street corruption and Washington in general. Incredible stuff, and the fact that CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and the rest of them didn't realize that, illustrates why they suck.
Funny to watch them on TV, breathlessly grasping for reasons why this guy spoke to Rolling Stone and not their almighty primetime anchors. While they were sitting in their makeup chairs reading over their scripts, real journalists were out digging up documents and working sources.
