These threads have bothered me since the first time he won the title... He did not win it because Eddie died!!! I still firmly believe had Eddie lived he would have lost the title to Rey down the line, maybe at Mania. Why is it so hard to believe that Rey has won the title both times because he is super over and super talented? I don't care about his size, he's one of the most talented guys in the company and more than deserves to be world champion. No Im pretty sure Rey did indeed win it cause of Eddie... He got it now cause hes super over |

I think the bigger thing here to wonder is whether Undertaker would have been in Rey's spot had he not been injured. Ugh, that's so horrible to think about---coming back after yet another hiatus and being handed the World Title.

Its couse WWE is pushing smaller superstars. IMO, i was actualy wanting the Swag-Meister to keep the title and then eventualy Have Jack Swagger vs The Miz for WHC where the miz wins the title and gets his over-due tital reignLMFAO And what kills me are the people that say he doesnt deserve it, then go on to say they want Kane to have the title. Atleast Rey can work a good match. Kane hasnt done crapin nearly a decade. Rey has had countless great matches with Jericho, Punk, Dolph, etc. Kane has continued to ride the coat tails on the Undertaker. Jesus...... |

Because Mr. Serious Swagger was not working. If his cocky/flashy demeanor stayed, then he would've been more over as a heel. I knew Swagger being so serious would not work at all.
Mysterio deserves it, definately.

Rey got it, because he's the only credible face they have. Sure there is the Big Show, but they are never going to give him the title again.

The only reason he won the first time is because Eddie died, and they could milk it and have him point the sky every single time he appeared on t.v. If Chavo didn't suck beyond suck, he probably would've gotten a run at it too. Right now, Rey is the only real face TOP guy on Smackdown (aside from Christian, who gets pooped on, but that's besides the point.) So, since Big Show isn't going to be getting it anytime soon, they gave it to Rey, a face, to break up all the heel WHC they've had this year. |

Rey Mysterio is champion because he is an unsafe worker and he injured the Undertaker. For some reason WWE decided to REWARD him for this by putting him in the Fatal Fourway and giving him the World Title.
WHY? I have no idea. You shouldn't be rewarded for being bad at your job. Rey Mysterio has been very sloppy the last few years and has injured a handful of people in recent memory.

Rey does work hard for his titles but I was hoping big show would have won so rey could go and get his much needed rest. I also think wwe doesn't want there shows have two heels as champions at the same time.

He needs to take some time off, maybe he can refresh himself and get back to being the 'old' Mysterio. William Regal deserves it. Finlay deserves it. Doesn't mean they are going to get it. |
