The reason TNA is bringing in several former ECW stars is because the focus group that did research a few months back showed that many fans responded that ECW was their favorite period in wrestling when asked.

TNA could really be something special, a true alternative to what the WWE has to offer. Throughout the years, they have had some amazing talent...and it always seems they drop the ball. You see the talent they have and you wonder why they decide to go with certain directions that they do.
TNA could offer such a different, refreshing product but they just cannot execute it. And the worst part of it all, some people will defend it. To me, there's only so much you can defend when it comes to TNA's cluelessness. I would LOVE for TNA to grab the world of professional wrestling by the throat and truly do something innovative.
But they don't. I've lost all faith in TNA

I like that they actually went out and did Research, but I'm not sure five guys in their late 30's and early 40's who were relavant 14 years ago is the best way to go.

I highly doubt that's the reason they're doing the angle.
They're moving to the old ECW arena, they have all the right people for it. It just sounds like the idea goes hand in hand.

When TNA did their only house show in NYC at Webster Hall 3 years ago, any major spot that happened that night, everyone chanted either ECW or HOLY SHlT. lol I guess we knew it was wrong but we did it anyways until Bubba Ray corrected the crowd and told them to chant TNA instead. I thought that was cool. An ECW invasion angle sounds great on paper but man, that shlt has already been done man. It's got potential to be successful but it's really got to be done right.

Cause he likes WWE wrestling ballet better. TNA is pulling out crap but all that WWE is doing is pulling out high budget crap. But crap anyway. Anyway, its hard innovate in wrestling and its only a matter of time until wrestling becomes in the US what it is in Europe already: ignored.

TNA will never have it's own true, unique identity if they keep rehashing garbage like this.

TNA will never have it's own true, unique identity if they keep rehashing garbage like this. TNA won't have it's own identity because it's fans won't let it. They've done a lot in the last 7 months, and a lot in the past years to become it's own thing. People don't understand that just because there is an x-division with people flying around, doesn't mean there will be any boost in ratings. It'll just make people think wrestling is more fake than what they already want to think of it as. They need drama- TNA has it They need hardcore matches- TNA has it They need new and upcoming wrestlers with their own gimmick-TNA let's the guys create their own characters. 'fans' are so wrapped up in wanting it to become something different and it already is. Sure, you'll get tastes of WCW, ECW, some WWE, but the characters they use, stick out. The older wrestlers are kept in the background, while the new ones are taking the stage. and the only way for TNA to create an image for itself is to push these young new faces, which they are. The Pope Abyss Jay Lethal Desmond The Beautiful People and with RVD, Jeff Hardy, and other big names, it's going to do nothing but help these younger stars become something memorable
