I don't know if anyone has talked about this, but according to a report on Wrestlingepicenter.com, the reason why we do not have a Sheamus figure yet is because Mattel has been having trouble developing the correct skin tone and they didn't want to put a figure out that they felt didn't correctly portray Sheamus in his pasty white glory.
So for those that didn't know, now you know. I know a lot of people on here have been critical of Mattel for not giving us a Sheamus yet and we get a few posts a week about how ridiculous it is that we haven't gotten a Sheamus yet and how dare Mattel overlook Sheamus and yadda yadda yadda....
So now everybody can just cut Mattel a break and realize the reason we have no Sheamus yet is because Mattel wants to make sure it's CORRECT and not just pump out half assed inaccurate figures like some OTHER toy companies do with their horrible skin tones and boots that look like SNOWBOOTS, lol

That's just bizarre. I hope someone tells Sheamus this. "Yeah, the toy company has spent months of research trying to get paint to match your skintone."
How hard is it to make white paint? Ha, I'm kidding.

I really don't buy this tbh. All that is needed is to create a lighter tone, it's not as if that takes weeks and weeks of research and discussion or whatever haha. Not that I mind that Sheamus doesn't have a figure yet, I like him but I doubt he was on Mattel's agenda at the time they were creating lineups so they probably only started working on him a few months back.

With as long as Mattel has been making toys I would think they would be able to solve that problem quickly.

I kind of think that was A joke on Mattels part... I think its really simply due to the fact there was no HIGH demand until around november/december last year and it takes alot of time to develop A figure.

BS...within days of Sheamus debuting we got custom Sheamus's with custom skintones! Mattel is just trying to create a huge demand for his debut figure. I just hope mattel puts as much detail into it as they have the rest of their figures.

I think the reason some people are complaining is because Mattel released a Drew Mclntyre figure way before we get a Sheamus figure. And I'm one of those people, Sheamus is a two- time WWE Champion, has been in a fued with WWE poster-boy John Cena, Triple H, and was in the Main-Event at the P-P-V Fatal-4-Way. Yet we get a Drew Mclntyre figure before Sheamus, and all Drew has done is attack people during interviews, before matches and after matches, & wrestled against Teddy Long. So how does that not warrant a figure to be made before Mclntyre. And if it's because of time or something of that matter, Sheamus debuted in June 2009, while Drew debuted on September 2009. ( And yes, I know Mclntyre has been in WWE before.)

It can't be that difficult to mix in some white paint to the normal skin tone to lighten it up.
Whatever, though. I now a Sheamus figure will be worth the wait with how great Mattel has been doing with the WWE line.

Since we don't seem to be getting a Fatal 4 Way series, we only have to wait till....2 packs 7 was it? Either way, it won't be that long now, like another 3 months. It was more of an issue like 2-4 months ago when one had yet to even be announced; though we knew McIntyre was a project in February because of that interview with the concept art. Drew got a figure possibly quicker than any other debuting superstar as we still await 2-time (albeit undeserving) world champion Sheamus. Of course, if this was Jakks we would likely be waiting just as long for a Sheamus which would probably be black. Ok, so maybe not black, but he would undoubtedly be way too dark since Jakks often had issues with skin tone. Whether or not the skin tone excuse is true we can at least rest easy knowing that when it does come out the skin will be close and he won't be in street clothes or wearing blank trunks.

I don't know if that's the reason or not, but I love all the know it all chemical engineers on this board that seem to have the full knowledge and expertise in petroleums, plastics or what ever they use. It's not 'just white paint' 'tards. Painting the skins tones make them look like crap ie the first John Morrrison head and a lot of the later Jakks stuff. You have to mix the 'plastic' so that it looks like pale flesh, not white skin. I don't know how difficult it is, or isn't, but I do know that none of you do either. Happy 4th!

Well I think it would be a problem getting the plastic the right shade, because I'm pretty sure they mold the parts in the color plastic it's going to be.

I had to look back up to the top of the page to make sure I was on the right board.

That's is extremely odd considering I myself a long with a couple others have made pretty damn good customs of Sheamus and I'm sure no research was required. Maybe I should work for Mattel so I can stay on the ball since they can't

the colors for Sheamus skin and hair had to be created for the mattel line, most of the other colors have been readily available for most lines has they are easier to mass produce, the pasty white and red will be used on one guy. I'd rather wait and have the figure come out perfect then a rush job.

This is funny because I remember saying this was why the figure is taking long a while ago. But I said it jokingly. I doubt this is true.

At least they can re-use Sheamus' skintone for early Undertakers and... can't really think of any more pale people, lol.

If the Sheamus figure has a head anything like the new Hurricane or Mike Knox figures, then it'll have been more than worth the wait.
