Source? Your mattel marking doesnt count...."yadda yadda yadda"... From Page 59 of Best of WWE 2010: For the upcoming release of Sheamus (date TBD), Mattel actually had to design a new, never-before-used color called "pale white" to represent the Celtic Warrior's unique skintone. So considering that Sheamus probably wasn't on Mattel's radar until December or January, and that they had to make a unique color plastic for him, I'd say we are getting him in a timely manner.

Sounds like a completely accurate answer.

I don't buy this. The reason Mattel hasn't put out a Sheamus yet is simply because they waited to fit him in a suitable line up. They decide when to release figures, it isn't like this figure was supposed to be in series 2 or 3 and got delayed.

If the Sheamus figure has a head anything like the new Hurricane or Mike Knox figures, then it'll have been more than worth the wait. good point!

Ofcourse they'd make A new skin tone but I'm saying what they said was A joke (by calling it that).

You're trying to be contrary and argumentative just for the sake of it. Give it a rest.

I don't know if anyone has talked about this, but according to a report on Wrestlingepicenter.com, the reason why we do not have a Sheamus figure yet is because Mattel has been having trouble developing the correct skin tone and they didn't want to put a figure out that they felt didn't correctly portray Sheamus in his pasty white glory. So for those that didn't know, now you know. I know a lot of people on here have been critical of Mattel for not giving us a Sheamus yet and we get a few posts a week about how ridiculous it is that we haven't gotten a Sheamus yet and how dare Mattel overlook Sheamus and yadda yadda yadda.... So now everybody can just cut Mattel a break and realize the reason we have no Sheamus yet is because Mattel wants to make sure it's CORRECT and not just pump out half assed inaccurate figures like s ome OTHER toy companies do with their horrible skin tones and boots that look like SNOWBOOTS, lolSeriously, have you ever LOOKED at Mattel's boots? Sh*t, Mattel's basic figures look like they all are wearing snowboots!

Santino Undertaker Kane JTG Shad Evan Bourne Matt Hardy Batista Drew McIntyre And several others. I see small laced boots, bigger laced boots for Taker and Kane. I see shoes(sneakers) I see kickers And I see whatever the hell you call what Batista wears. Not one of them resembles a pair of snow boots.

They can take as much time as they want, as far as I'm concerned - and this fig will warm the shelves, anyway. Kids will not be interested in a figure of Sheamus.

Come on Mattel, how could you not make a Sheamus when he's the champ?

I don't know if that's the reason or not, but I love all the know it all chemical engineers on this board that seem to have the full knowledge and expertise in petroleums, plastics or what ever they use. It's not 'just white paint' 'tards. Painting the skins tones make them look like crap ie the first John Morrrison head and a lot of the later Jakks stuff. You have to mix the 'plastic' so that it looks like pale flesh, not white skin. I don't know how difficult it is, or isn't, but I do know that none of you do either. Happy 4th! From what I know you cant just pour paint into the liquid plastic they'll use to mould with and mix and get the colour. There can be all kinds of reactions and it could come out with the figure having a matte texture or having a bubbled or burnt texture

I love how people are comparing their custom figures to something that is to be sold at mass retail, like they're the same thing.
Get a clue, none of us work in the toy industry, and have NO IDEA what it takes going into making something like this.

Latest issue of WWE magazine actually says they had to create a new color for his skintone. The color they showed however didnt look white enough.

This is funny because I remember saying this was why the figure is taking long a while ago. But I said it jokingly. I doubt this is true. It is true. I read it last week in one of the WWE magazines. I think it's funny that Mattel has never ever had to use such a light skin tone in any of its other lines as well. That's why it's taking so long. They're experimenting to get it as light as he is.

I don't buy that. 7 months, and they can't match a skin tone... give me a ing break. I could make his skintone in less than 7 mother ing months.
