I've decided to only collect the Legends line with a few Elites if I would consider them a Legends/Classics type wrestler.
So far I am adding Finlay, Kane (unmasked), John Cena, Rey Mysterio, HBK, Triple H and Chavo to my Legends display. I'm really on the fence about CM Punk, Batista and Randy.
Is anyone else doing this? Who do you consider Legends/Classics worthy?
Thanks!

For me it's more the other way -- I collect modern guys, but if there's a legend figure of a guy I really liked or was especially important in the WWF when I was a younger fan, I'll get that too (from series 1, Austin and maybe LOD... From series 2, Jake the Snake, maybe Kamala, Sheik and Rude).
I think if you're going to include Chavo and Finlay as future legends, you should definitely add Punk, Batista and Orton.

I'm in the same boat. i just wanted to collect Legends, but I find myself checking out Elites far more sometimes.

why? finlay is way more legenadry then all those guys put together. You're confused because Finlay's old. He's not a world champion, he's not someone that sells tickets and that kids have posters of. Those other guys are going to be on the cover of DVDs twenty years from now. Fit isn't -- and has never been -- anywhere near the star that Punk, Batista and Orton are/were. If someone's a huge fan of German wrestling in the 80s and early 90s, then Fit Finlay's probably the biggest star ever. But in American wrestling, he's never been much of a player. He's about on par with a Killer Bee or a Tom Zenk.

I figured I would add the rumored DX elites from series 7. And I'm sure there will be others, but for the most part I only plan to buy my absolute favorites from the Legends line.

I don't think anyone in smark world is going to take anything away from Finlay but 10 years from now we won't be seeing a Finlay DVD. If WWE had some type of ironman award for the guy who has really given his life to the business Finlay would be at the top of the list, but his list of accomplishments in WWE and WCW is not very long. In fact you have to squint to see it. CM Punk, Batista and Randy Orton have won what 15 or so World Titles in WWE? Which doesn't include Punk being a WWECW and ROH World Champion. That number is only going to continue to grow for Punk and Orton who are already both Triple Crown winners. Money in the Banks, Royal Rumbles, I mean how many of these things has Finaly won? Get serious with that comment. I hate Batista more than anyone I know and wouldn't make that statement. Legend status isn't dominantely about wrestling ability. If that were the case Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior would never be considered as such. On top of that, I would take Punk in the ring over Finlay anyday of the week. The OP already has DX, John Cena, Rey, Kane, Chavo and Finlay. Those last two have been jobbers for a large portion of their careers, and Kane, while a Legend, was never really a top star to the magnitude of the other three. Not really sure how he is on the bubble about Orton, Punk or Batista who if they never wrestled again would all go into the WWE HOF. With that being said, I think its impossible to not pick up figures from other lines. Mattel has made amazing figures in every line and if you are a wrestling fan or figure fan then its damn near impossible to resist some of the things we have seen. Oh and to the OP, where is Chris Jericho?

I didn't add Taker and Jericho because I assumed they would definaytely get Legends style figures.
PJ - I really like your displays. The Entrance Greats look great (no pun intended) mixed in!

Finlay is a legend now, not even later. even for WWE standards Finlay is nowhere near a tom zenk, that's just intellectually- disabled.

I don't get how Punk is already a legend in your eyes and a guy like Finlay who debuted in the 70s's and had countless titles from around the world isn't. You probably think Cena is a legend too

I don't get how Punk is already a legend in your eyes and a guy like Finlay who debuted in the 70s's and had countless titles from around the world isn't. You probably think Cena is a legend too Whatever you say buddy. The only two promotions Finlay worked for that anybody gives a poop about were WCW and WWE. Where he has been a jobber in both, regardless of how good he was in the ring, which at no point have I ever argued. What "countless titles" has he won around the world? How many belts has he won in Japan or the United States where it actually matters? By my count, 2, which does seem countless given that CM Punk has won 6 in WWE alone. I'm not very good at math but let me see... CM Punk in less than 10 years has won 26 odd championships with a 5 star match under his belt while Finlay in his almost 40 year career has only won 26 titles. None of which were a world title for a major promotion. Are we still having this conversation because I got confused with all those numbers. Not to mention, the OP clearly stated he already had a John Cena figure which would imply that he in fact thinks Cena is a Legend. So regardless of my opinion, the point is completely moot. But LMFAO if you think Finlay is more accomplished in pro wrestling than John Cena. Cena has headlined how many WrestleManias? I don't even like the guy but you are really going to make that argument. Again, with the reading comprehension, being a Legend isn't completely derived from your ability to work a match. Lots of great wrestlers have passed through the ropes, a lot of which couldn't draw either, or work the mic, or whatever it may have been that was holding them back. Hulk Hogan only used 5 moves before hating the 5 moves of doom was cool and he is the most popular wrestler of all time. You don't consider him a Legend? Another guy I don't even like but come on.

He hasn't been a jobber in WWE or WCW haha. in fact his first few years in WWE he barely lost. The last few months of his career he put a lot of people over, but that doesn't equal "jobber". Wfigs, where anyone not a world champion is a jobber. oy.
