So I love Mattel! What they have done with WWE figures has been everything I could ask for! So this is in no means a "bash" Mattel thread, but I often wonder if they are to "big" of a company to really pay attention to us? Yeah they found out what we want and they've done a good job at making everyone happy, so we go out to the stores and buy their product and that makes them happy. But is that where it stops? They learned just enough about us to get our money and thats it. But when was the last time they did a Q&A? Or for those of you follow their facebook you know they DO NOT respond to ANYTHING! The only time they post is to promote their products. I wonder if they even read this forum? Or what about Protos and future line-ups The protos have no pattern to them they just come out whenever that is very frustrating and I may be wrong but I feel like we have learned about all the future line ups through a third party. Maybe you disagree but I just feel like no connection between us and them.

I've thought about this before, too. We were pretty much Jakks' biggest market, yet they didn't pay attention to us and gave us crappy figures near the end of their run. Now Mattel has taken it to another level, and, as long as they keep making great figures, I'm happy.

as long as they are turning out good product.. i dont care if they talk to us.. show us protos or anything...
its not like they HAVE to.... hasbro , TONS of huge lines.. and you dont usually see protos of that stuff.. maybe a few pics in a toyfare... then POOF they are on the shelves...
but i personally collect a TON of crap... so maybe thats why i dont care.. i dont feel that i need to be catered to .

Actually a website called Fwoosh does a weekly (or so) Q&A with Matty, so... yeah, trust me they listen.

You get pissy too easily. Mattel has done absolutely nothing wrong. And yes, they listen. Just because they didn't reply to your personal vendetta against the Melina figure doesn't mean they don't take our advice. Trust me, they listen. Take the Basics 4 HBK for example. The Cheetos face beard disappeared quite quickly and another wave was produced just because people complained about it. That's giving too much back to the fans in my opinion.

They're a company that makes toys. We buy toys. That doesn't mean people at Mattel have to be our best friends and respond to all our stupid fanboy whining. I don't give a damn about them doing Q&As. They're putting out figures that I like, that's all that matters to me.

Aren't they doing Q&A sessions in San Diego? Regardless, they created an entire line, technically two whole lines really, for just collectors. Actually, I would consider all of EG, Legends and to a lesser degree Elites all collectors lines. They are listening and probably more than they should.

Well, fans complained about Triple H's hair and a few sets later they fixed it. So they must be trying to fix their mistakes.
I wouldn't be surprised if they monitor this site to get fans opinion on their product. And if that's true... Put more effort into the basic Punk & Orton's tattoos. Punk needs some color!

Whilst I agree, they don't have to be our friends or talk to us, but, it would be nice if somebody from Mattel joined the boards & posted on here like Jeremy used to for Jakks. It would just be kinda nice / cool to know somebody from Mattel was here to check in every now & again like Jeremy did.
