Ok Carl Weather's arm IS in the movie. In fact, I think ALL movies should have Carl Weathers in them in some way.
I gotta say my favorite part of the movie was the "tribute" to the Billy character.

I actually enjoyed it, not as good as Predator 1 or 2, not as bad as AVP 1 or 2

Saw this today and I thought it was really good. I liked the similarities between this one and the original. I thought the cast played off of each other really well.

You really didn't miss anything at the beginning, the movie starts off with the characters falling in the jungle. I'm not sure about a scene at the end though.

Wait a second, what happened after the credits?
And the music was AWESOME. Felt exactly like the first two. Loved this movie. Felt like a direct reboot of the first one with new characters. Much better than the second and those crapty AVP movies.

I skipped past the first post and every reply in case there were spoilers, I just stopped in to say I will hopefully be seeing it tomorrow and I'm excited. Looks great.

an interesting thing of note was the number of people in the theater. I live in a moderate sized city but the fact that I was there at 11:40 PM and the theater was a good 75% full bodes well for this weekend. If this movie tops Twilight, that'd be so awesome.

They could have done.. So, so very much more with this film..
And I believe it did fail on a few levels.. Especially the fire in the tunnel. Lawrence failed..
I won't be seeing this again honestly.

Much better than the second and those poopty AVP movies. There was nothing after the credits. I LOVED it. Surprised at how much I enjoyed that movie.

I think that no matter what people say I need some much needed carnage to watch on the big screen. I might have to schedule a babysitter so I can go out and see this one.

this movie was the perfect addition to the franchise. i really hope your friend doesn't tell you something else that you'll believe in, like making out with him isn't gay or something A friend who I trust pretty much told me that it failed on every level.

he/she are wrong. I just got back from seeing this and it was great.I really really enjoyed it.cant wait to get it on DVD so I can watch Predator and then Predators back to back Opinions cant be wrong. you never stated it was their opinion-your post made it seem like they wrote it off as complete crap. you didnt say in their opinion it failed on every level. so Ill rephrase my reply: I completely disagree with his/her opinion.

There were definitely a few inconsistencies and plot holes, the atmosphere of the planet being one of the biggest ones...But, I think for a sequel to a 20+ year old movie that has had 3 other sub par sequels, it did pretty damn good.
With the music, the winks and nods to the first movie, and the original predator design showing up, you know that they were thinking about the people who were fans of the original, I dig that.
