Subway is fine. I eat at Subway often, I usually get the veggie delight. Subway wasn't even mentioned in the film, so I assume it's okay to eat or at least healthier to eat, but the other places... BLECH! I'm guessing, I don't know for sure, that the meat Subway uses is no different than the meat talked about in the movie. I know you're a vegetarian, but I'm just saying. I actually recently got Netflix, so I'll check this out. I like a good documentary. It probably is, but it's still better than eating at Burger King or McDonald's. It's a good start to healthy eating.

Nothing could ever make me stop eating meat, I honestly don't care what they feed the animals as long as the Steak tastes good.

I just watched the movie Food Inc. on Netflix, and I'm just amazed at what food manufacturers are putting into our food. It's truly disgusting, I'm so glad I decided to become a vegetarian, but not even vegetables are safe from these corporations. After watching this movie, I've made the decision to only buy from farmer's markets from now on and I want to encourage as many other people to do the same. Here's the official website for Food Inc. if you want more information: takepart.com/foodincAnybody that cares about their health, their freedom, and the environment to watch this movie and take some kind of action.I care about my freedom so much that I will continue to exercise my right to buy my meat and produce wherever I damn well please.

The only thing that Subway cuts down on is calories and fat (IF you make the right choices. But you can make decent "diet" choices at McDonald's.) There's not much difference at all.

A Subway BMT extra extra extra with double bacon, salt, oregano, mayonnaise and dressing slathered on italian herbs and cheese isn't any better, in the long run.

I've known about this kind of stuff for a great while, so I'm very very choosy about what I eat. I make the majority of my food, so I know what's in it.

Nothing could ever make me stop eating meat, I honestly don't care what they feed the animals as long as the Steak tastes good. No one said you have to stop eating meat entirely, just by meat that isn't tainted. I don't understand how people can care more about their taste buds more than their health. Seriously, google colon cleansing and you'll see what's inside of everybody that eats this kind of garbage their whole life. I must warn you however that these pictures are not pretty. I just watched the movie Food Inc. on Netflix, and I'm just amazed at what food manufacturers are putting into our food. That's entirely up to you, but just keep in mind that as long as you continue to support these corporations and their food, one day you will no longer have the freedom to choose where to buy your food. I don't know why anyone would want to give money to these corporations that care more about money than peoples health, when you could help support honest hardworking farmers that produce food that is 100% natural and organic. You don't have to completely give up the food you love, but at least help support the farmers markets, otherwise these corporations will succeed in driving these people out of business and we will have no choice but to eat their tainted food. As for Subway, I always choose the healthiest options. I only eat the Veggie Delite obviously, but I'm in the proccess of transitioning into only eating food that is 100% natural and organic. It's not easy, but my health is important to me and I'm going to do whatever it takes to live a healthy lifestyle.

Seriously, I don't even know where to begin with the stupidity of that coment. I guess I'll start with the fact that most of the garbage most people eat have more adverse effects on their health than smoking marijuanna. Whatever, it's your health if you want to continue to put garbage in your system, then good for you. The only problem is, your supporting these goddamned corporations that continue to taint our food and are aiming for total control of the food industry. Just do me one favor, seriously, google colon cleansing images to see some disturbing pictures of whats rotting in everybodies colons because of poor eating habbits.

Because of movies like this and all the other stuff wrong with the food industry (just saying that seems so wrong) ive considered becoming a vegetarian. Then again, yesteday I found out my McDonalds now has the 50 piece nuggets, and proceded to eat 26 of them. Next time, Im not gonna eat in the morning, and get an entire 50 down. Anyway, back on topic, I really would like to be vegetarian, and really have respect for those who are, but I just like hamburgers and stuff too much to stop. lmao, this post is amazing. as for the topic at hand, although i realize the hazards of the food of today at 20 and still living at home i don't have too much choice in the foods we buy. i still eat relatively healthily, however as you said even healthy foods can contain these harmful chemicals and pesticides...when i am independent, i plan on doing a complete rehaul of my eating habits and how i get my food. anyways, good job trying to get this information out there. people need to learn about this.

In America, we eat meat. So I eat meat, no veggie film is going to make me convert to being a full time vegetarian.

Whenever I watch movies like Food Inc. and Supersize Me, they don't affect me. I still eat all those meats.

Seriously, ing read the entire post before making stupid ass comments like that. These films are not, I repeat, ARE NOT trying to turn people into vegetarians. Food Inc. is about how these corporations are genetically modifying ALL TYPES of food, meat AND vegetables alike and that the majority of food you buy in grocery stores is tainted and recommends that people should buy all their meat and vegetables locally and from farmer's markets.

I'll pass. okay...firstly, i'd like to know just how well you know these farmers, how many there are out of them that grow, and how the you even know that... secondly, as a farmer myself, i can say you are a classless douchebag to demean these farmer's work, when it's been evident for years farmers particularly in the united states do NOT receive the proper funding they have, and many have ran bankrupt, as corporate farming begins to tighten it's grip. i bet the average farmer works several degrees harder than you, EVERY DAY. enjoy your air conditioned office.. and thirdly, it's ing pot. get a life.

Its illegal, and thats his point. They have to resort to illegally growing stuff to get by, showing how hard the life can be.

^ not necessarily true. sure, you go to a grocery store and pickup some package that tries to say it's organic, it's gonna be priced up....and they're probably lying to you. however, if you go to a market (there are many farmers markets in citys) the prices are usually great, and you can actually get great deals.
