WWE Money in the Bank: Sunday 18th July 2010...Just to say, the graphics are stretched and you should really consider asking an experienced graphics designer to do your graphics, they brought down the professional look of your shows. Strong opening contest however, with the SmackDown Money in the Bank ladder match to get over the point that this is the focal point of the pay-per-view; ladder matches. Meh. Kofi Kingston winning didn't do too much for me, it's just I don't find him that established honestly. There's stronger superstars. Matt Hardy, MVP or Cody Rhodes, or even Christian would have done better as Money in the Bank possessors. When I see Kofi as the briefcase holder I just imagine him as being the first guy to fail to win the World Heavyweight Championship in the climax. Kelly Kelly retaining the WWE Womens Championship against Michelle McCool is fine; not too fussed as McCool has had a while as champ, time for Kelly to shine right now. Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton had a decent match I suppose; just not a fan of this feud as these two would have a quite boring match, no disqualification or not. Lastly, interesting gimmick on the winner takes all match; only complaint is that I hate how random the Jack Swagger and Dudebusters tag team is; it just doesn't go. like jelly and ham in a sandwich. The Gold Rush sounds ridiculous; I really hope this unit ends soon. The Hart Dynasty being with The Undertaker also, just doesn't do good justice to me. It makes 'Taker look like he's babysitting. Good concept; bad execution. Ted Dibiase could be a useful WWE Champion; but hopefully not until nearer the end of the year. He needs a lot to build up before being champ. I feel however that Sheamus, John Morrison or The Miz would have been good choices to go for as well. CM Punk and Kane had a decent first blood match: the fact Punk's wearing a mask too makes me remember when Kane was masked, facing Stone Cold Steve Austin in first blood. Lastly, pretty strong main event win for Chris Jericho against Batista and John Cena; did the job well I think. Overall, well written show; the graphics don't do justice. The odd decision I disapprove of but good read.

-Its always a good way to open the show with SD's MITB Match. Kingston winning is nice. -Kelly retaining over McCool is good. -McIntyre over Orton is great for his career. -Swagger/Dudebusters over HD/Taker is decent. Swaggers title reign is shaping up well. -DiBiase winning the RAW MITB is unexpected, and its decent. I think he'll be the first one to lose after a cash in though. -Punk beating Kane in First Blood Match is great. -Jericho retaining is great. His WWE Title Reign looks to be great further on. Overall, solid MITB

-Kofi Kingston winning MITB is great. He really deserves it. -Odd to see a nine minute divas match. But the read was exciting and Kelly retaining is good. -Drew McIntyre over Randy Orton is huge for him. And since Edge interfered, it should set up Orton vs. Edge at MITB. -Undertaker and Hart Dynasty losing to Jack Swagger and The Dudebusters is a bit of a shocker. Kind of the same path I'm going down. Good job with the result. -Ted DiBiase winning MITB was real nice. All the guys needed it. Miz the most. DiBiase winning is nice for his career. -Punk over Kane was a solid call. Hope this doesn't end the Kane push though. Good result. -Chris Jericho retaining the WWE Championship was expected. Hope that Cena doesn't go downhill from here. -Great PPV; keep it up.

- Do not expect Kofi Kingston and Ted DiBiase to cash in their Money In The Bank contracts anytime soon. The WWE feels that while Kofi Kingston is a very popular superstar among the "WWE Universe", they still don't feel that he is established enough to hold the World Title. His cash in may be before the end of year. As for DiBiase though, the WWE has been high on him and feels that he can be main eventer, which is the reason that he was given the Raw briefcase. But, the WWE also feels that if DiBiase cashes in any time soon, the crowd may feel that he is just another "Sheamus." Expect DiBiase to hold the briefcase for a while. - Batista suffered a legitimate injury at Money In The Bank. He will not miss a lot of time, but he will most likely miss SummerSlam. This puts the continuation of his feud with John Cena on hold. - It was announced on wwe.com that new Raw GM Abraham Washington will announce a new concept match to take place at SummerSlam. - The poster for Hell In A Cell was recently released. The poster can be viewed here.

- A good choice as an opener. Kingston getting the MITB is an alright decision, there were other choices too. - Kelly Kelly retaining the Women's Championship I am fine with due to McCool not needing it back atm. - McIntyre defeating Orton definitely gives him a boost in his career; hoping Orton gets his vengeance though. - Found this match really odd. However, the champions retaining is a good call with Summerslam right around the corner. - Do think The Miz or John Morrison would be better choices in this case; DiBiase is a meh decision for MITB. - Punk getting the win is good. I do expect Kane to get his revenge, however, seeing as he chokeslammed the ref. - Lastly, a good defense of the WWE Championship by Jericho. Not sure about the possible signs of a face turn after though.
Overall, MITB was a pretty good show.

Monday Night Raw July 19, 2010 Tulsa, OK
Superstars Goldust def. Vladimir Kozlov William Regal def. Santino Marrela
We open tonight's show with a video package highlighting the Raw Money In The Bank Ladder Match, which Ted DiBiase came out on top. We then see some highlights of the incredible Triple Threat match where wee saw Chris Jericho retain the WWE Title.
After that package is done, we hear the theme of Chris Jericho as the WWE Champion comes to the ring, which is set up for the Highlight Reel. Jericho says that he usually doesn't do this, but he's in a good mood so he has decided to hold an episode of The Highlight Reel right now. He said that before he begins the show, he wants to thank John Cena for being a man last night. Jericho then says that he doesn't even know who his guest is because this is an open show. Whoever wants to be his guest, they can come down to the ring right now. He doesn't care if his guest is a superstar, a referee, an announcer. It can be anybody who is in the back. After a few seconds of silence, Mr. Money In The Bank Ted DiBiase comes to the ring. He tells Jericho that he wants to take this time to put Jericho on notice. Since he is Mr. Money In The Bank for Raw, he can cash in at anytime from now until this time next year. He says that he may cash in while Jericho is champion. He says that he might even cash in tonight. Jericho tells DiBiase that if cashes in on him, he's going to be disappointed with the results. New Raw General Manager Abraham Washington is shown on the titantron. He says that he sees something good going on here. So tonight's main event will be a non title match between WWE Champion Chris Jericho and Ted DiBiase. Washington then tells DiBiase that tonight may be the best opportunity for him to cash in if he can lay Jericho out. Jericho then turns around and sees DiBiase swing the briefcase at his. He ducks it and clotheslines Ted over the top rope. Jericho and DiBiase have some words for each other.
Commercial Break
Non Title Match Unified Tag Team Champions The Dudebusters def. Goldust and Yoshi Tatsu
A solid opening contest here. Tatsu and Goldust put on a pretty good showing. Not as good as the champions though. The Dudebusters are coming off of a big title defense with their stable mate Jack Swagger last night at Money In The Bank. In the end, The champions were able to connect their finisher on Tatsu to get the win. |
While The Dudebusters were celebrating, The Hart Dynasty's theme hit as they came to the stage. Kidd said that this rivalry has been going on all summer, so how about the final encounter take place at SummerSlam. Barreta says that they want something to be done for this match in order for it to take place. Barreta says that he they want Bret Hart to be at ringside in a wheel chair. The Hart Dynasty talk about this before saying that Bret Hart will be there. Croft says that it's official. The Dudebusters vs. The Hart Dynasty for the Unified Tag Team Championships one more time at SummerSlam.
United States Champion John Morrison is shown in his locker room. He turns around and sees R Truth. Morrison welcomes him, but Truth tells Morrison that he wants to know why he deemed it necessary to cost him the Money In The Bank briefcase. Morrison says that he didn't do anything to screw Truth. Truth tells Morrison that he doesn't want to hear any crap. Morrison tells Truth that it's every man for himself and he knows that Truth knew that. Truth says that he did, but he never knocked the ladder over while Morrison was climbing the ladder. Morrison tells Truth that he didn't know this would come between their friendship. Truth then says "truth hurts doesn't it?"
A graphic is shown for tonight's main event. WWE Champion Chris Jericho vs. Mr. Raw Money In The Bank Ted DiBiase.
Commercial Break
Abraham Washington comes to the stage for a very important announcement. He says that before Bret Hart was removed from the GM position, he had one more announcement that he never got to make, so he is going to make it for Bret. Abraham says that last November, Sheamus won something called a Breakthrough Battle Royal to become the #1 contender for the WWE Title, which he one. Abraham then says that for the people who don't know, the 'Breakthrough' name means that only people who have never been World Champion can compete in it. He then says that he got with SmackDown GM Teddy Long earlier today and they came up with something special. At SummerSlam, we will see 3 superstars from Raw and 3 Superstars from SmackDown go at it in a 6 men Breakthrough elimination match. Abraham says that the qualifying matches will take place next week. for Raw, and the SmackDown qualifying matches will take place this Friday. And only people who have never been champion before can be in these qualifying matches. And the winner of the match will become the #1 contender to their brand's champion.
Commercial Break
John Cena comes to the ring as the audience goes nuts. Cena says that he has some news for the WWE Universe. Batista is injured. The audience reluctantly cheers. Cena says that he knew that everybody would love to hear that. Cena then says that since Batista is not here tonight, he is issuing an open challenge. After a few seconds of silence, Ezekiel Jackson makes his way to the ring.
Singles Match John Cena def. Ezekiel Jackson via disqualification
A solid match here. This was the first time that these two went at it, so Cena didn't really know what to expect from Big Zeke. Jackson used his strength to keep Cena down for some time, but Cena used his strength to fight back. In the end, Cena had Jackson on his shoulders for the Attitude Adjustment, but Ted DiBiase came down to the ring and hit Cena in the lower back with his briefcase. The referee called for the bell. |
DiBiase and Jackson continued their beat down on Cena. Jackson then dropped Cena with the Book Of Ezekiel. DiBiase applied the Million Dollar Dream on Cena. DiBiase kept the hold on him until he passed out. After Cena was out, DiBiase planted him with Dream Street, with the back of Cena's head landing on the briefcase. DiBiase and Jackson stood tall over Cena's lifeless body.
Abraham Washington is shown in his office reading a book. Soon, Randy Orton comes in. He says that he wants Drew McIntyre and Edge tonight. Washington tells Orton that the show is already full. He can't fit anything else in. Orton grabs Washington by his collar. Orton is threatening Washington until Edge comes in the office and brawled with Orton. Security soon came in and broke the two up.
Commercial Break
United States Championship Drew McIntyre def. John Morrison (c) to WIN the championship
A good competitive first hour main event match here. Both men really wanted to win the title here and impress Abraham Washington so they can be placed in a qualifying match here for the Breakthrough match. McIntyre kept Morrison grounded for a good portion of the match, but Morrison came back in the match after hitting a Flying Chuck. Drew went for a big boot on Morrison, but Morrison moved out of the way and Drew kicked the referee. Morrison then springboarded off of the top rope and dropkicked Drew. Morrison then put McIntyre in position for the Moonlight Drive, but R Truth came down to the ring and nailed Morrison in the back of his head with the US Title belt. The audience could not believe what they just witnessed. Drew got back to his feet and dropped Morrison with the Future Shock. The referee crawled to the two competitors and made the three count. |
After the match, Drew celebrated with the US Title belt. Soon, Randy Orton came into the ring from the crowd and attacked McIntyre. Edge eventually came out though and Speared Orton. Edge picked Orton back up to his feet and allowed Drew to nail Orton in the skull with his new title. Edge and the new United States Champion Drew McIntyre stood over Orton.
R Truth is shown walking around backstage when Josh Mathews tries to get a word with him. Truth does nothing but punch Mathews.
Commercial Break
We are shown a recap of the shocking events that just took place with Drew McIntyre becoming the new United states thanks to R Truth's betrayal, and Edge and McIntyre beating down on Randy Orton.
Abraham Washington is shown in his office. Josh Mathews soon walks in with a bloody nose. Abraham says "A bloody nose again?" Mathews asks Washington if he has anything to say after what we just saw. Washington says that he has non yet decided the 6 Raw superstars who will compete in the Breakthrough qualifying matches, but he knows that Drew McIntyre will be one of them. So if Drew McIntyre does not qualify for the match, then he and Edge will face Randy Orton in a handicap match at SummerSlam. But if Drew does qualify, then it will a one on one match between Edge and Orton. As far as Truth and Morrison, he has something for them.
Singles Match Evan Bourne def. Sheamus
Sheamus was certainly out of focus in this match after he was attacked last night at Money In The Bank by a returning Triple H. Evan Bourne was still feeling the effects of Wade Barret's Wasteland, which he received through the announce table. Sheamus eventually had Bourne defeated and was getting him ready for the Celtic Cross, but "King Of Kings" by Motorhead hit, but there was no sign of Triple H. Sheamus was too distracted by this, so it gave Evan the opportunity to roll up Sheamus. Surprisingly, it gave him the win. |
Sheamus was livid as Evan Bourne and the WWE Universe celebrated. After Bourne left, Sheamus took a microphone and demanded that Triple H come out to the ring right now. Abraham Washington came to the stage. Sheamus was furious as Triple H didn't come out. Washington said that Triple H is not here tonight, but he has an announcement to make. At SummerSlam, it will be Sheamus going one on one with Triple H inside of a 15 ft. high Steel Cage. Sheamus was even more furious now.
The Miz and Michael Cole are shown in their locker room. Miz told Cole that Washington told earlier that he will be in a Breakthrough Qualifying match next week. Cole said that he will be there for Miz. Miz told Cole that he has something to tell Cole. He's dropping him as his manager. Cole asked why. Miz said that he is just more trouble for him, and he's not really doing anything to help. Cole asks what he's supposed to do now. Miz says that he got Cole a job commentating on SmackDown.
A graphic is shown for tonight's main event. WWE Champion Chris Jericho vs. Mr. Raw Money In The Bank Ted DiBiase
Commercial Break
Divas Championship Match Alicia Fox (c) def. Maryse to retain
A decent Divas match here. not much of a crowd reaction as both of these Divas are heels. Eve was on commentary here and said that Abraham Washington told her that next week, it will be a Triple Threat match with her, fox, and Maryse for the title, despite who wins this match. In the end, Fox was able to hit the Tilt-A-Fox, her new finisher, on Maryse to get the win. |
After the match, Fox took her title and got in Eve's face. The two women had some words for each other to get ready for the Triple Threat Match next week.
Chris Jericho is shown walking to the ring. His match with Ted DiBiase is next.
Commercial Break
A promo for SummerSlam is shown.
Non Title Match WWE Champion Chris Jericho def. Ted DiBiase via disqualification
A good main event here. Unlike at the beginning of tonight's show, Ezekiel Jackson accompanied DiBiase to the ring. Jericho kept a good eye on him though. In the end, DiBiase charged at Jericho, who was on the ropes, and ended being thrown to the outside. DiBiase then took his Money In The Bank briefcase and nailed it over the head of Chris Jericho. The referee called for the bell. |
DiBiase and Jackson continued their beatdown on Jericho. After they were finished, DiBiase looked the briefcase. He very well may have had intention on cashing in right now. However, John Cena came running down to the ring and attacked DiBiase and Jackson. Cena dropped Jackson with an Attitude Adjustment as DiBiase took his briefcase and ran to the back. Cena eventually chased after him. Soon, Wade Barrett came down to the ring. He helped Chris Jericho up to his feet. The crowd cheered at this. After Jericho was back on his feet, Barrett put him on his shoulders and dropped him with The Wasteland. Barrett got a microphone and said that he has a major announcement. He will be using the title shot that he won on NXT to face Chris Jericho for the WWE Title at SummerSlam.

-Good start to the show with The Highlight Reel. DiBiase/Jericho shall be nice. -Dudebusters are the champions. So them over Tatsu and Goldust is smart. -The Breakthrough Battle Royal is interesting. Can't wait for it. -Cena over Jackson is good since he lost at MITB. Smart call. -McIntyre over Morrison is shocking. But since McIntyre has been on a huge roll, I enjoy it. -Bourne over Sheamus is a good call either way. -Fox over Maryse to retain is good. Hope that Maryse or Melina are the ones to win it. -Good main event. Weird to see two DQs but the champion winning was nice. Post match was good and Student/Teacher-Jericho/Barrett at SS shall be epic! -Great RAW; SummerSlam looks awesome!

-Good open with DiBiase and Jericho in the Highlight Reel. Their match should be nice. -Dudebusters over Goldust and Tatsu is good for they are the tag champs. Them vs HD at Summerslam should be nice. -Cena winning because of DiBiase's interference is good. -McIntyre winning over Morrison because of Truths attack is decent. Wonder where their feud will go from here. -Bourne over Sheamus is nice. -Fox over Maryse to retain is a good call. -Nice main event with Jericho winning by DQ. Unsure about it happening twice though. Cena making the save, and Barrett vs Jericho is nice. Overall, nice RAW leading into SummerSlam.

WWE NXT Little Rock, AR July 20, 2010
We are welcomed to NXT by Josh Mathews and Byron Saxton. They tell us that tonight, we will have our first elimination. They then send everything over to Matt Striker.
Striker is shown on the stage with all of the Pros. He tells all of them to evaluate the rookies carefully so they can give us accurate rankings. Striker says that every week from now on there will be an elimination, so it is a must for the rookies to step their game up one last time.
Singles Match Titus O'Neil (0-4) def. Eli Cottonwood(1-2)
When the rankings were revealed a few weeks ago, these two were at the very bottom, so this was a very important match here. In the end, Titus hit a running shoulder block on Cottonwood. Titus hooked Eli's legs to get his first win. |
Titus celebrates his win until Zack Ryder comes down to the ring. Ryder says that he should be impressed by Titus' performance right now, but he's not. Ryder then says tells him that he'll need a miracle to not be eliminated tonight. Ryder keeps going on until O'Niel slaps him. Ryder fights back, but Titus picks him up and throws him out of the ring.
Commercial Break
Matt Striker asks Zack Ryder if he's okay. Ryder tells Striker that he's okay, but he wants something. He doesn't care if Titus is still in this competition after tonight. He wants a match with him next week.
Singles Match Michael McGillicuty (2-2) def. Husky Harris (1-3)
A very solid match here between two great competitors. McGillicuty was looking to keep up his winning streak here. In the end, McGillicuty was able to hit the McGillicutter to get the win. |
After the match, Wade Barrett appeared on the titantron. He said that he hasn't been on NXT since he embarrassed Michael on the first episode of this season. McGillicuty took a microphone and said that he still wants his match. Barrett says that he knows, and that's why he's here. Barrett says that he will be at NXT next week and he will finally give McGillicuty a match with him. McGillicuty is ecstatic at this. Barrett says that he will destroy McGillicuty and then focus on becoming the new WWE Champion.
Matt Striker reminds everybody to log onto wwe.com to vote because the rankings will be revealed shortly.
Commercial Break
After we return, we see Michael McGillicuty in his locker room still happy about the fact that he will finally have his match with Wade Barrett next week. Kofi Kingston soon walks in. He tells Michael that he knows they have their problems, but he wants everything to be okay between them. McGillicuty says that he would like that too, but not until he's beaten Wade Barrett.
Singles Match Alex Riley (2-2) def. Lucky Cannon (2-2)
Both of these men had the same win/loss record, so this was an important match. Lucky seemed to have the WWE Universe behind him, but the Pros seemed impressed with Riley. In the end, Riley was able to drop Cannon with the You're Dismissed to get the win. |
Riley celebrated his win as we saw Miz telling all of the Pros "That's how it's done" and giving Riley a thumbs up for his performance.
Titus O'Neil is shown in his locker room when Ashley Valance walks in and asks Titus if he heard Ryder make the challenge for next week. Titus said that he did and he will be more than happy to finally shut Ryder up. Even though his chances of staying in the competition don't look good, he is happy that he at least got the opportunity to live his dream, even if it was only for 6 weeks.
Commercial Break
Singles Match Kaval (3-0) def. Percy Watson (3-1)
Before the match started, both men shook each other's hand in a great show of respect. This was a very good match between two men who could very well end up winning this competition. In the end, Kaval was able to come down on Watson with the Warrior's Way to get the win. |
Both men shook each other's hand once again after the match. Matt Striker told the two of them to stay at ringside and called for the rest of the rookies to come out. He then told the Pros to get together because when we return, we will have out first elimination.
Commercial Break
A promo is shown for SummerSlam.
Matt Striker asked the Pros if they had completed the ranking process. They all said yes. Striker asked the WWE Universe if they had all casted their vote. The audience cheered. Striker asked the rookies if they were ready. Ale Riley told him to hurry up because he has to be somewhere soon. Matt Striker said "Without any further ado, let's find out who will be going home."
#1. Kaval #2. Alex Riley #3. Michael McGillicuty #4. Percy Watson #5. Husky Harris #6. Lucky Cannon #7. Titus O'Neil #8. Eli Cottonwood [Eliminated]
Titus O'Neil was shocked at the fact that he was not eliminated. Eli Cottonwood was furious. Striker asked Cottonwood if he had anything to say before he packs his bags. He said that he doesn't understand how he was ranked last when Titus only won one match this season. He then said that it doesn't matter because he will get his WWE contract one way or another. After he left, Striker told Titus that he is probably wondering how he was able survive tonight. Striker said that after he slapped Zack Ryder earlier tonight, there was a major increase in votes for him from the WWE Universe. Striker also said that the Pros were impressed too. And if he can beat Ryder next week, he may stay. Alex Riley took the mic and asked how he dropped to #2 and little shrimp Kaval was able to take his #1 spot? Kaval said "Because this little shrimp beat you two weeks ago." Riley got in Kaval's face, but Striker broke them up. He then said that next week another rookie will go home, so everybody needs to be at the top of their game.

Friday Night SmackDown! July 23, 2010 Little Rock, AR
Superstars Curt Hawkins def. Chris Masters Luke Gallows def. JTG
We kick off tonight's show with highlights of the SmackDown Money In The Bank Ladder Match, which Kofi Kingston won. It also shows some highlights of the Winners Take All match, which saw Jack Swagger and The Dudebusters come out on top.
After the video package is finished, we see Jack Swagger and The Dudebusters come to the ring. After they get in the ring, Swagger tells the WWE Universe that he told them so. He told them that The Gold Rush would retain their titles at Money In The Bank. And right now he's guaranteeing that The Dudebusters will retain the Unified Tag Team Titles at SummerSlam. Teddy Long then comes out. He congratulates Swagger and The Dudebusters on retaining their titles. Teddy then says that since The Dudebusters are defending against The Hart Dynasty at SummerSlam, he thinks it's fair if Swagger defends against a certain person. Swagger had a look of concern after Long said that as he may have had an idea of who he was referring to. The audience cheered as they may have had an idea also. Long said that at SummerSlam, Swagger will defend the World Heavyweight Title against The Undertaker! Swagger was livid at this announcement. Teddy then says that if anybody interferes in that match, superstar or official, they will be suspended indefinitely.
Commercial Break
Matt Striker and Michael Cole, who is making his return to commentary on SmackDown tonight, official welcome us to SmackDown. After they welcome everybody, a video from Raw is shown. It is the clip of Abraham Washington announcing the Breakthrough Elimination match at SummerSlam. Matt Striker and Michael Cole then tells us more details about this match. It will involve 3 Raw superstars and 3 SmackDown superstars. The qualifying matches for SmackDown will take place tonight, while thee Raw qualifiers will take place this Monday. Only superstars who have never been a World Champion can qualify. The winner of the match will become the #1 contender to their brand's championship.
SummerSlam Breakthrough Qualifier MVP def. Chavo Guerrero
A solid opening contest here. Chavo actually got some cheers as the WWE Universe may have some sympathy for Chavo after everything that he has been put through these past few weeks, courtesy of the Big Show. In the end, MVP was able to drop Chavo with the 305 to get the win. |
After the match, MVP celebrated his win. After he left to the back, Big Show came out to the ring. Chavo was trying to get to his feet, but Show put his foot on Chavo's hand. Rey Mysterio then came to the ring with a chair. He nailed Show in the back repeatedly until Show was down on his knees. Rey then hit Show in the head with the chair. Rey helped Chavo up. The two men hugged each other.
Teddy Long is shown in his office with the SES. Punk is telling him that he thinks a 3 on 1 handicap match for SummerSlam is the best possible decision he can make. Teddy says that he has an idea. Tonight, Kane will face Luke Gallows and The Masked Man. If the SES wins, then Punk will finally get his 3 on 1 match at SummerSlam. Punk thanks Teddy. He is about to leave, but Teddy tells him that if Kane wins, it will be Punk vs. Kane one more time at SummerSlam, and Kane will get to pick the stipulation. Punk is irate.
A graphic is shown for tonight's main event. World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger vs. Mr. SmackDown Money In The Bank Kofi Kingston.
Commercial Break
Teddy Long is shown in his office once again when Bryan Danielson walks in. Bryan tells Teddy that he wants to know why he is not in one of the qualifying matches for the Breakthrough Match. Teddy says "Bryan, no disrespect, but there were some individuals one the roster who deserved the spot more, such as Matt Hardy." Bryan said "Matt Hardy? You're trying to tell me that Matt Hardy deserves a chance to become World Heavyweight Champion more than me?" Teddy looks a bit frightened, thinking that Bryan was going to snap and assault him, but that was not the case. Bryan said "You know what? That's fine."
SummerSlam Breakthrough Qualifying Match Dolph Ziggler def. Matt Hardy
Another solid qualifying match here. The announcers told us that for a guy like Matt, this may be his last opportunity to become World Champion. Matt Hardy went for a Twist Of Fate, but Ziggler was able to lock on the Sleeper. After about a minute or so, Matt passed out and the referee called for the bell. |
Ziggler celebrated his win, screaming that he will win at SummerSlam. While Matt was getting up, Bryan Danielson came out and kicked him in the head. The crowd was stunned at the new attitude the Bryan was sporting tonight. Bryan then put Matt in the Cattle Mutilation. Soon, Just Gabriel came down to the ring. Bryan left the ring. Gabriel and some officials checked on Matt's condition as Bryan stood on the stage with a smile on his face.
Teddy Long and Mr. SD Money In The Bank Kofi Kingston. Teddy asked Kingston if he was sure that doesn't want a Breakthrough Qualifying match. Kingston said that the only thing he needs to break through is the MITB Briefcase. Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes then came in. He said that Kingston got lucky at Money In The Bank, and if Kingston wants to see a true breakout star, he'll watch his match next with Christian. Kingston told Rhodes that he'll be sure to check it out. Rhodes then left the office, but not without nailing Kingston in the back of the head with the Intercontinental Title belt.
Commercial Break
SummerSlam Breakthrough Qualifying Match Christian def. Cody Rhodes
A very good first hour main event. The announcers said that just like Matt Hardy, this Breakthrough match could be the last opportunity for Christian to become World Champion. Both men showed that they have the heart to be champion, but only one of them could come out on top here. At one point in the match, Kofi Kingston came down to the commentary table. He said that Rhodes told him to watch this match, so why not get an up close view of it. At the end of the match, Rhodes spent a little too much time talking smack to Kingston as it gave Christian time to regroup. When Rhodes turned around, he saw that Christian was back to his feet. Rhodes charged at him, but Christian moved out of the way and was able to put Rhodes in position for The Killswitch. Christian engaged it to get the win.
|
Christian celebrated his win with the WWE Universe. After Rhodes got back to his feet, he was met with Trouble In Paradise from Kofi Kingston. He raised his briefcase high in the air.
Jack Swagger is shown in his locker room watching The Undertaker's Deadliest Matches, most likely studying Taker for their match at SummerSlam. While he is watching the TV screen, The Undertaker appears on the screen and says "Rest In Peace Jack." Swagger quickly sat up from his cheer. The screen soon cut to a static screen.
Commercial Break
Singles Match Shad Gaspard def. Finlay
Finlay had a very special surprise for the fans. He reunited with his son, Hornswoggle. Despite that, his match was basically used to get Shad more over with the fans. He showed a very ruthless attitude here, which was bad for Finlay. In the end, Shad was able to plant Finlay with the Shad Taking Over to get the win.
|
After the match, Hornswoggle checked on his dad's condition. Shad noticed this, so he proceeded to kick Hornswoggle. This got him a lot of heat. Shad took a microphone and said that he's not here to joke around, he is here to become World Heavyweight Champion.
Michelle McCool and Layla were shown in MVP's locker room, bragging to him about how their rookie Kaval was #1 and that he beat MVP's rookie, Percy Watson. MVP said that it doesn't matter who is first place right now. It matters who is first place at the end.
Women's Champion Kelly Kelly is shown walking to the ring. She is in action next.
Commercial Break
Kelly Kelly came to the ring to a great reaction from the crowd. She was waiting for her opponent, but "This Fire Burns" hit as the Straight Edge Society came to the ring. Punk told Kelly that he had a question. Does she drink? Kelly said "sometimes". Punk asked Kelly if she wanted to be saved? Kelly said that she's fine the way she is right now. Punk said that's unfortunate because he thinks that Kelly would make a great addition to the SES, but sense she's an abusive alcoholic, she needs to learn her lesson. And there's one person who can teach Kelly that lesson, Serena.
Non Title Match Serena def. Women's Champion Kelly Kelly
A solid divas match here, but the real story here was the in ring debut of Serena, who actually had a very good showing. She showed that she could possibly become Women's Champion sometime in the future. In the end, Serena dropped Kelly with a devastating Inverted Front Powerslam to get the win in her debut match. |
After the match, Puck brought a chair into the ring. Gallows and The Masked Man placed Kelly in the chair as Serena brought out a shaver. It looked as if Kelly was going to have her head shaved, but Kane came to the ring and took out the SES. Kelly was eventually able to leave the ring. The SES walked back up the ramp, but Kane told Punk that he's not going anywhere because he believes he has a match right now. Gallows and The Masked Man re entered the ring as Punk and Serena left to the back.
Commercial Break
2 on 1 Handicap Match Kane def. Luke Gallows and The Masked Man
The match had already begun during the commercial break, but Kane was in control when we came back. Despite the fact that he had two opponents, Kane's dominance was still at an all time high. Gallows and The Masked Man really gave this match their all to make their savior proud, but in the end Kane was able to Chokeslam The Masked Man. He then Chokeslammed Gallows on top of The Masked Man. Kane got the pin on both of them to get the win. |
After the match, CM Punk came out to the stage, obviously disappointed that the SES lost. Now, Lane will get to choose the stipulation for their match at SummerSlam. Kane lifted his arms in the air and brought them down. Punk expected the pyro to blast from the ring posts, but they instead blasted from the stage. Punk was frightened by the pyro as it blasted about 3 or 4 feet away from him. Kane then said "Hey Punk, did that pyro blast feel hot? Well it's going to be even hotter for you in this ring at SummerSlam, because it will be me and you one more time in an Inferno Match." Punk had a look of shock and horror on his face, knowing that he will have to face Kane in an Inferno Match at SuummerSlam.
Jack Swagger is shown walking to the ring. He faces Kofi Kingston next and it's our main event.
Commercial Break
The Raw Rebound is shown. It focuses on The main event between WWE Champion Chris Jericho and Mr. Raw Money In The Bank Ted DiBiase, followed by Wade Barrett's announcement that he will face Jericho at SummerSlam. It also shows Drew McIntyre defeating John Morrison to become the new United States Champion.
Matt Hardy is shown in the trainers room with Justin Gabriel. Gabriel tells Matt not to worry because he will make sure that Bryan Danielson pays for this.
Non Title Match Kofi Kingston def. World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger via DQ
A great main event here. This could potentially be a main event match on another day soon as Kingston is the holder of the SmackDown Money In the Bank briefcase. At one point in the match, The Dudebusters came into the ring and charged at Kingston at the same time, but Kingston moved out of the way and they both rammed into each other. Kingston stacked the two of them on top of each other and hit a Boom Drop on them. After that, Kingston dropped Swagger with an SOS. Kingston then got ready for Trouble In Paradise, but Cody Rhodes came out and assaulted Kingston. The referee called for the bell.
|
Swagger joined Rhodes in his assault on Kingston. Rhodes soon planted Kingston with a DDT onto the Money In The Bank briefcase. Rhodes took the Intercontinental Title and the Money In The Bank briefcase and left to the back. Swagger stayed in the ring and posed with the World Title belt, but The Undertaker soon came up from the ring mat. Swagger didn't realize this until he turned around and saw Taker standing in front of him. Swagger attempted to hit Taker with the belt, but Taker grabbed Swagger by his throat. Taker soon Chokeslammed Swagger into the hole that he created in the ring mat. Undertaker took the World Title belt and posed in the ring to conclude this week's edition of Friday night SmackDown!.

-Good promo to kick off things. Undertaker/Swagger at SummerSlam is the same path I'm going. Bet you'll agree it'd really benefit Swagger's career. -MVP over Guerrero was expected. Good call. -Ziggler over Hardy is a great call either way. Hopefully, you give Hardy a push or a feud. -Christian over Cody Rhodes was a realistic call as you needed to a vet in there. -Gaspard's push should be exciting to see if he takes some gold or so. -Kane is looking dominant on SmackDown now! That's what I love to see there! Keep it up. The Inferno Match sounds epic. Something Kane needs to win. -Kofi Kingston over Jack Swagger is a solid main event. In fact, if you don't have the Scramble after SummerSlam, he might be the new contender. Confused as to why Rhodes attacked but sure looking forward to finding out. -Very exciting SmackDown; looking forward to RAW's Breakthrough Participants.

Kane is looking great as of now. -Kingston over Swagger in DQ is nice. Rhodes helping Swagger is good as well. Taker standing tall to end the show is good. Overall, nice SmackDown.

Monday Night Raw July 26, 2010 San Antonio, TX
Superstars Zack Ryder def. Goldust Maryse def. Gail Kim
After the pyrotechnics blasted, Jim Ross and Jerry "The King Lawler" welcome us to Monday Night Raw. They tells us that tonight we will see the 3 qualifying match for Raw's side of the Breakthrough Elimination Match at SummerSlam. Plus, we will joined by Batista via satellite.
The WWE Champion Chris Jericho came to the ring to an actually friendly response from the audience. He's been really popular as of late. He said that last week, Wade Barrett announced that he will be using the title shot that he won on NXT to face him at SummerSlam. Jericho asked for Barrett to come to the ring. Barrett did so. Jericho said that he is actually not upset about this. In fact, he's actually a bit happy. He said that when he was mentoring Wade, he always told him to take an opportunity when you see it, and that's exactly what Barrett did. Barrett said that he is looking forward to their match because he learned from the best. Jericho said that Barrett did in fact learn from the best, and at SummerSlam we will find out who truly is the best. Jericho extended his hand to him. Barrett said that there was another thing that Jericho told him and that was to have no mercy on his opponents. He then picked Jericho up to his shoulders and dropped him with The Wasteland. Barrett held the WWE Title high in the air.
We see a quick shot of Batista, who is in his home in Washington D.C. getting ready to be interviewed. He is apparently upset because his chair is uncomfortable.
Commercial Break
Abraham Washington is shown in his office when Skip Sheffield walks in. Sheffield asks Washington if he has his contract. Washington hands Sheffield that contract. Skip signs, officially joining the Raw roster.
SummerSlam Breakthrough Qualifying Match The Miz def. Mark Henry
A decent opening contest here. Both of these men really wanted to become the first Raw superstar to qualify for the elimination match. The announcers said that this match could be Mark Henry's last chance to earn a title shot. It didn't go Henry's way though as Miz was able to drop him with the Skull Crushing Finale to get the win. |
The Miz cut a quick promo after the match. He said that he will win this match at SummerSlam and go on to become the WWE Champion because he's The Miz and he's awesome.
Edge was shown in his locker room with the new United States Champion Drew McIntyre. They had some security with them to protect them from Randy Orton.
Commercial Break
Josh Mathews is now standing by with Sheamus. Mathews asked him if he plans to do anything tonight concerning Triple H. Sheamus said that he is tired of the minds games that Triple H has been playing on him, because he's here in the WWE to fight and not play. So tonight, he is going to call out Triple H. And if he doesn't come out, he will go to his home in Greenwich and will dismantle him in front of his wife and kids.
SummerSlam Breakthrough Qualifying Match Evan Bourne def. Ezekiel Jackson
A solid match here between two competitors who very well may be a champion before the end of their careers. Jackson was dominant the entire match. Ted DiBiase was on commentary during this match, saying that John Cena is afraid of him and Jackson after the beating that they gave him last week. At the end of the match, John Cena came out to ringside. DiBiase immediately took his briefcase and left . Cena chased him to the back. Jackson tried to go after Cena, but the referee began to count him out. Jackson stormed back in the ring, but was hit with a high knee. Bourne then went to the top rope and came down with Airbourne on Jackson. Evan got the cover to get the win.
|
Bourne celebrated with the rest of the WWE Universe as he will now be in the Breakthrough match.
The cameras quickly cut to the backstage area, where the chase was still going on with Ted DiBiase and John Cena. DiBiase tried to stop and hit Cena with the briefcase, but Cena ducked it and put Ted in position for the Attitude Adjustment. Jackson then showed up and got into a fight with Cena. DiBiase took his Money In The Bank briefcase and nailed Cena in the back. While Cena was down on his hands and knees, Dibiase leveled him in the back of his head, knocking him out. DiBiase and Jackson then dragged Cena's body to the parking lot. DiBiase handed his limo driver a ton of money and told him to run over Cena. Right before the car could hit him, Cena rolled out of the way as officials came to get help for Cena and to stop DiBiase and Jackson. Abraham Washington then showed up and asked Ted if he was crazy. Ted said that he is trying to prove his point. Abraham said that Ted will be able to do that at SummerSlam when he faces John Cena.
Commercial Break
The Hart Dynasty are shown in the backstage area with Bret Hart, who is in a wheelchair. All members of The Hart Dynasty were telling Bret that they don't think that it's a good idea for him to be here tonight. Bret says that he understands their concern, but he has something that he wants to say to The Dudebusters.
Abraham Washington was shown in his office to make an announcement. He said that every WWE superstar who is advertised for a live event must be there to entertain the fans. He told us that there was a Raw live event this past Saturday, and R Truth did not show. Therefore, R Truth is suspended.
SummerSlam Breakthrough Qualifying Match United States Championship Drew McIntyre (c) def. John Morrison to retain
This was a good first hour main event here. Morrison was using his rematch clause here, but this match was also for the final spot in the Breakthrough match. Edge was shown in his locker room watching, as the outcome of this match will have an effect on his match at SummerSlam. The announcers said that Morrison was focused on the task at hand as Truth was not here due to his suspension. Int the end, Morrison missed the Flying Chuck kick. He seemed to have landed awkwardly on his ankle. As the referee was checking on him, McIntyre quickly picked Morrison and dropped him with the Future Shock to get the win. |
McIntyre took his US title belt and celebrated. Not only did he retain his title, but he also took the final spot in the Breakthrough Elimination match.
Edge was shown in his locker room, applauding Drew for his performance. Randy Orton soon came in and told Edge "Looks like we know what you'll be doing at SummerSlam." Orton then attacked Edge. The two continued to brawl until officials came in to separate the two.
Commercial Break
Skip Sheffield was shown in his locker room when Santino Marella came in. Marella told Sheffield that he didn't forget what he did to him two weeks ago, and he's here to get revenge courtesy of the Cobra. Sheffield told Santino to get out of his locker room before he knocks his head off. Marella attempted "The Cobra" on Sheffield, but it didn't seem to have any affect on the big man. While Santino was trying to get his hand back in the Cobra position, Sheffield grabbed Santino and threw him through his locker room door.
Divas Championship Maryse def. Alicia Fox (c) and Eve to WIN the championship
A decent divas match here. Very fast paced as there were three women competing. Fox tried to stay in the ring at all times as she knew that she didn't have to be pinned to lose her title. Maryse and Eve tried to get any pin attempt that they could possibly did as Fox seemed to be more focused on breaking them up. In the end, Eve threw Fox out of the ring. When she turned around, Maryse kicked her in the mid section and planted her with the French Kiss to get the win. |
Maryse took her new title and told the fans that they will never see the end of her title reign because there is no other diva on the Raw roster that can take it from her. Maryse left the ring with a very arrogant attitude.
We are now joined by Batista via satellite from his home in Washington D.C. Jim Ross asked Batista what his injury actually is. Batista said that he dislocated his shoulder at Money In The Bank after John Cena carelessly dropped him onto the steel steps. He then said that if it wans't for John Cena, he would be the WWE Champion right now. Ross then asked Batista when we can expect to see him back. Batista said that he's a fast healer so he will be back very soon. And when he returns, he will make John Cena's life a living hell.
Commercial Break
The Hart Dynasty came to the ring with Bret Hart, who was in a wheelchair. Bret took a microphone and said that he wants everybody to know that he's fine and he will soon be out of this wheelchair and back on his feet. But as far as wrestling goes, he doesn't know if that's going to happen again. But right now, he wants to talk to The Dudebusters. After a few seconds of silence, The Dudebusters came to the ring. They asked Bret if he was okay in a very sarcastic manner. Bret told them to cut their crap because he knows that they don't give a damn about him, and he doesn't for them either. Barreta said that The Hart Dynasty should have known that bringing Bret to the arena tonight was a big mistake, because they just might finish what they started. The two teams then had an intense staredown. Natalya then grabbed the handles on Bret's wheelchair and ran one of the wheels over Barreta's foot. Kidd and Smith then attacked The Dudebusters. The champions eventually retreated as The Hart Dynasty stood tall in the ring with Bret Hart.
Randy Orton is shown walking to the ring. He has a match with the #1 contender to the WWE Championship Wade Barrett. that match up is next.
Commercial Break
A preview for NXT is shown, which advertises another elimination tomorrow night.
Singles Match Randy Orton and Wade Barrett fought to a No Contest
A solid main event here. A win for Barrett here would really solidify him as a top player here on Raw. Barrett did have a good showing here against Orton, but The Viper was able to get the crowd behind him. Barrett went for a clothesline on Orton, but Randy ducked it and Barrett hit the referee. The two continued to fight as Edge came out to ringside. |
Barrett hoisted Orton to his shoulders for The Wasteland, but Orton was able to get off. He then went for an RKO, but Barrett was able to push him away. Orton was pushed to towards the ropes. Orton didn't even bother with Barrett anymore. He went to the outside and got into a brawl with Edge. The two continued to brawl as WWE Champion Chris Jericho came into the ring from the crowd and got into a fight with Barrett. Orton and Edge's brawl went to the back. Barrett put Jericho on his shoulders and went for The Wasteland, but Jericho fought his way off of Wade's shoulders and was able to hit a Codebreaker onto his former rookie. Jericho took a microphone and said that he realized that he created a monster. But at SummerSlam, he will slay that monster and retain the WWE Title. Jericho posed in the ring with his title.
Commercial Break
After we came back from the commercial break, there was nothing going on. it looked as if the chow was over and the cameras were still rolling for some reasons. The crowd was confused as there was no proper ending to the show. It all became clear soon as a hometown hero made his entrance. The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels came to the ring to an astonishing ovation from the audience. The announcers were even in shock. The crowd chanted "HBK" for a bout a good minute before Shawn spoke. He said that this is not a return, but more of an update. He wants everybody to know that he is enjoying spending time with his family, but he does indeed miss performing for the WWE Universe each and every week. The crowd begins to chant "Please come back" as Shawn looks as if he's on the verge of tears. He says that he has already expressed his thoughts on that. He says that things have changed. There are new fresh faces holding championships, such as Jack Swagger, The Dudebusters, Drew McIntyre, Cody Rhodes, and the two Money In The Bank briefcase holders Kofi Kingston and Ted DiBiase. He says that this is exactly what he wanted after he retired. A new generation. He says that he would not want to do anything to hurt that because it is what he wanted. Sheamus' entrance theme then hit as he came to the ring. He said that he knew it. He knew that Shawn couldn't stay away from the spotlight long enough. He knew that Shawn would eventually come back and take the spotlight away from the younger generation of superstars. Shawn told Sheamus that he just said that he will not be making a return for that reason. Sheamus said that unlike all of these people, he can see through Shawn. He can see that the selfish side of him is going to take away what the new guys have worked so hard for. After a while, Triple H came to the ring. Sheamus was so busying ranting on Michaels though that he never knew that Triple H came out. Sheamus kept going on about why Shawn is a selfish individual, but Michaels eventually had enough and delivered Sweet Chin Music to Sheamus. While he was stunned, Sheamus turned around and was dropped with a Pedigree. Triple H told Sheamus that at SummerSlam, he is going to end his career. Michaels then took a microphone and told Sheamus that if he wasn't down with that, then they got two words for him. The crowd then reluctantly yelled "Suck It". Triple and Michaels then hugged each other in the ring and posed for the fans for possibly the final time.

-Since to added it, I've loved the idea of Barrett vs. Jericho at a major PPV. I just really can't wait to see who wins. -The Miz over Mark Henry to enter the Breakthrough Battle Royal was the right call to get some new talent in there. -Bourne over Jackson was a smart call either way. Bourne seems like he'll make a better addition to the Breakthrough though. -Hmm, Cena/DiBiase for SummerSlam. Glad that you got Cena on the SummerSlam card. -McIntyre over Morrison to retain and qualify was fine. Wonder where this leads John Morrison now. -Maryse over Fox and Eve to win the gold is great. I really hope you give her a long reign now. -Orton/Barrett sounds nice and so does the post match. -Interesting to see Shawn Michaels. Wonder if he's returning. But I'm looking forward to Triple H/Sheamus at SummerSlam. -Good show; SummerSlam looks awesome. Wish it were today.
