Ken Shamrock is a fraud.
How is he a UFC HAll of FAmer??? His UFC record is 6-6-2
Most of his wins that pad his over hyped record were in Pancrase and Pancrase is not MMA it is glorified wrestling. Pancrase is BS too because many of those fights were "Works".
In MMA fights Ken is 10-11-2
Since 2000 his record is 4-9
His biggest wins in MMA where against Kimo and Dan Severn.
I understand that he was there since the beggining but this guy is a total bum and all around bunghole. I dont get all the legend hype surrounding him??

What I wanna know is why in the hell is the UFC HOF so small?
Severn, Mask, Liddell, Couture, Coleman, Shamrock, Gracie, and Hughes.
That's it? Really?
What about Tito Ortiz? Don Frye? Rich Franklin?
Those a a few that immediately come to mind from the UFC. If Hughes, Couture, and Liddell are in, they need to be also.
And since UFC is the premier MMA company in America, they should expand it from a "UFC Hall Of Fame" and focus more of a general "MMA Hall Of Fame" the way WWE runs their HOF as a "Wrestling HOF" instead of exclusively a "WWE HOF".
They own the rights to PRIDE, they should add another branch or division for PRIDE legends too like Henderson, Wanderlei, etc.

Good point. I also think there should be a waiting period after the fighter retires like other sports do for thier HOFs. All of the UFC HOFers are still active well except for MAsk RIP.
Pride HAll of FAME= Saku, Igor, FEdor, Dan, Wand, Nog after they retire.

The guy is a pioneer in the sport. There. That's why. Like it or not, he's accomplished and contributed a lot to the growth of the sport. Hell, name the first really big grudge match in the UFC? Ken/Tito UFC 40. First "Superfight": Ken/Royce. First UFC Champion: Ken Shamrock.

any hall of fame. How 'bout that? This. I don't see how having a special way to honor those who helped bring the sport into its own is hurting anyone. All I was saying is just run it a little more organized. - Have yearly "classes" of inductees. - Set a specific date. A Friday or Saturday in October, every year, take in 6-7 new guys. - Bring in a little diversity. If baseball, football, basketball, hockey, etc. all have their own HOF to honor players/competitors, I don't see why UFC/MMA shouldn't have one.

I don't mind the idea of having a UFC/MMA hall of fame, but part of me thinks it's too early to bother with any of that. People constantly bring up GSP, Penn, Franklin, and other active great fighters that should be added. It just seems like something that, if it has to be done, should be held off for awhile until the guys being added are 100% inactive as fighters.
Although the guys are obviously being honored for their accomplishments up to that point, it seems like all of that is tarnished if they continue fighting from that point onward. Especially when these older fighters often go on to lose their next several fights to up and comers.

I agree with everything besides the yearly classes part. MMA shows (let alone the UFC) don't happen often enough to fill a yearly class of fighters.

My Hall Of Fame: *Fighter Wing Randy Couture Matt Hughes Chuck Liddell Royce Gracie Tito Ortiz Evan Tanner *Future: Forrest Griffin/Stephan Bonnar (Rogan said it best) Anderson Silva George St. Pierre Rich Franklin

Why Tito over Rich? Tito really has no amazing wins on his record and is only known for being a dumbass who can talk a lot of sh*t and make a lot of excuses.
