This doesn't surprise me. Say what you will about his in ring work, but the guy is one of the most charismatic, comfortable guys to hold a microphone and he's got fantastic personality. At the end of the day, this is the WWE and the actual WRESTLING side of the product doesn't count for a whole lot any more. As a WWE SUPERSTAR, I think The Miz is one of the greatest.
What's also interesting is how had you asked me a couple of years back what I thought of The Miz, I'd say he'll shortly be wished good luck in his future endeavours. Usually, I'm able to make up my mind on a wrestler shortly after their debut, and for the most part it remains largely the same. With the Miz, however, there's been a HUGE transition in the quality of his work and it's that journey that he's been on that makes him really interesting. Really can't wait to see how his career takes shape over the next few years.

I don't mind the Miz, but as a long term major player, or possible future headliner, I just can't buy into that yet - still, he at least deserves the opportunity more than Sheamus ever did. Also, how did a thread about the Miz turn into a discussion about McCool? On the subject of McCool though, I'll say this... Michelle McCool is now in the upper echelon of female workers, along with Nattie, Gail and Beth, whether Showstopper or anybody else likes it or not - that's just the way it is. Her performance in the ring, speaks for itself, and for anybody who says she has no idea of psychology, then they obviously have no clue what pyschology is. Like I said....we dont see eye to eye and I dont care to debate it.BUT.....I would like to know how TBP is like PMS or Vince's Devils? Outside of them all being girl factions, I dont see it. Probably, because deep down, you know you're talking out of your arse. What exactly have you got against McCool - did she maybe refuse you a picture or a "graph"? Are you jealous too? I'll try and hook you up with an autograph next time I am out.  Proof positive that McMahon is completely delusional. Credit to the Miz for working hard, making strides in the ring to be the best he can be and taking on all the outside responsibility with media work, etc. He's got the right attitude. HOWEVER, still does not change the fact that Miz is but a curtain jerker worker. While he has made improvements, he still doesnt have a good or even average work rate. Yes, he can be entertaining at times.....Miz continues to be nothing more than a guy who should be in FCW for improvement more so than on Raw as US champion. Its a joke that he won money in the bank. I'm all for rewarding hard workers, but I'm certainly not going to make my product suffer for that reason. I just have one thing to say to you: The WWE Universe has transitioned from saying "I'm Awful" when The Miz is about to say his catchphrase to "I'm Awesome". Also note that the positive reaction The Miz is garnering, just look at Money In The Bank as an example. The crowd was hot and loving The Miz taking down the briefcase. He's no curtain jerker by far. The product is not suffering from The Miz being bestowed a golden ticketed briefcase. On the contrary, he's adding value to the product as being one of the marquee guys the WWE uses to promote the business. The Miz's in-ring work is getting better, and you cannot deny that. He's learning how to tell a story with guys that know how to work. He can only get better working with the likes of Triple H and Randy Orton when he gets to that level. Everyone kept saying Edge is not a believable contender, now he's a 9 time World Champion. The Miz is the future.... deal with it. The WWE Universe has also transitioned into cheering for Cena. Does anyone actually read what I write or do you just try and pick an argument with me? "I cannot deny Miz is improving?" No shit, Sherlock. I only wrote that about 20 times in this thread. But he sucks in the ring..... obviously that doesn't matter anymore. I also hear he's not well liked backstage (whether it's true or not, I don't know). I don't know why everyone bums the Miz because morrisons far better as an overall package. Well, Morrison sucks on the mic. Morrison can't touch Miz, when it comes to mic-skill, charisma and getting over with the fans - so no, he's not a better package at all. All Morrison has to offer is his flippy moves and a nice physique - and that's all he'll ever have to offer, quite frankly. You're joking, right? Damn....that eye rolling smile is getting paid over time. First off Morrison does have charisma and mic skills as shown when him and Miz were together. Morrison the majority of the time performed better in their joint segments imo. He is FAR superior in the ring. Has the look too, Miz doesn't. In regards to getting over with the fans, the only reason Miz has head way in that department is because of his gimmick and we all know it's alot easier to get over as a heel these days. Morrison as a heel was over, i'd like to see miz be as over as a face because he wouldn't, cos he can't pull it off. Morrison is superior to the Miz in almost every way, miz has slightly more charisma granted, but not by a long shot. Miz joins the list of vastly over-rated current wwe superstars alongside the likes of Sheamus,drew,ted and all of Nexus besides Wade. Nobody gave a crap about Morrison when he was a heel - it was the Miz who got the crowd reactions... Morrison simply piggy-backed off the heat Miz generated. You're joking, right? Do you watch the show or do you just make this crapup? Miz haters saying he can't work and gets X-Pac heat are simply delusional and that's the biggest thing I hate about smart marks. You don't have to like everybody but, for the most part, talent and reaction are obvious and a guy either has it or doesn't. Miz clearly does. His XPac heat has died down. I think the majority of the crowd has bought into him being a legit heel. WWE did a nice job in developing that. That being said....I DONT BUY IT! I dont buy everything WWE sells. Thats what epitomizes a sheep. |

I gotta agree with CM about Morrison/The Miz. They both seemed to generate heat and just played well with each other. Was The Miz better on the mic than John? for sure but The Dirt Sheet was both of them generating heat, those two just complimented the others weaknesses thats why they worked so well.

He's been called "The Miz" since before his Real World days. He always talked about "Miz" being an extension of himself. While it sounds silly for a name, at this point its created a brand and I think its established at this point. |

I like all those names more than I like The Miz. But, when The Rock became The Rock, I thought that name was silly too. Of course now.......I couldnt have been more wrong. I think it has to do with establishing that name as a brand and making it legit. |

I remember when this guy was the Ryan Seacrest of Smackdown, never did I ever think he could be a WWE Champion, but ever since se switched to trunks, he looks like a believable champion. Yeah, those red and violet panties are sweet The Miz would be laughed off the beach if he showed up there in his godawful ring attire. |
