Think about it, They got rid of the entrance ramp that connected the Entrance tunnel to the ring. New lighting, barbed wire stage. Not like a car to a robot transformation, but still a difference. It's not really new lighting, it was just...lighting.

Dixie tweeting "the impact zone is transformed!" was a lie. It looked exactly the same. And what was so hard about getting blue ring mats? They could have done that instead of doing it in the ing dark. ECW was never like that. I beg to differ. When I watched it on the Sunshine Network in 99, It was pitch black, other than the center of the ring. Couldn't see the crowd, and some times, not even the turnbuckles. Guess you didn't watch it too often. A good 95% of ECW shows didn't have the sh*t lighting like what was going on in Florida. Trying to hide the fact that they couldn't get a blue mat by using blue lights is just cheap as hell. And that arena WAS NOT "transformed" it looked the same. Don't try and sugarcoat it.

I watched all the time. Im not saying every show was like that. I think they tried to capture the eye sight from perception on a tv at home then the real deal in the arena, if you get what im saying.
The main shows that had shitty lighting was the Fort Lauderdale show. I remember them doing a double taping, cause the show was so long they cut it in 2, making 2 weeks worth of ECW. I won't forget it cause CW Anderson and Simon Diamond got into a fight with a guy in the crowd and It cut to a music video of New Jack doing crazy dives, it was a promo for a PPV.

i thought this ppv was a lot of fun.. all this complaining lets me know people went in with a negative mind - set . ive seen nothing but smarky comments.. what kind of wrestling fan complains about a sing being a "plant" what kind of nerd even notices that beside some nerd who spends all his time online studying wrestling when he's not watching porn or playing xbox live. Wrestling has always had fun moments/silly i dont see anybody caring when Chavo tried chasing a mdiget through a wall A ING WALL! The dance off was hilarious , the light sabers was a little random.. but it looks like they were just out there trying to have a good time.. it was fun. I bet the internet community hates they cant blame this one on russo.. a guy who had a huge influence on the original ECW wrote this show . I think some complained about the Plant with the sign because in ECW fans actually brought signs with weapons in them, but I would agree that too much was made of that. It was actually Carlito who tried chasing Hornswoggle through the wall, and people actually did say it was stupid, just like me and countless others called Chavo and Hornswoggle's feud awful. Yeah, Russo won't be blamed, Dixie will for allowing the PPV to happen on TNA time, as will Dreamer for being the main Writer for the Show.

Sodaguy, in your eyes, TNA does no wrong. You can back up ANYTHING TNA does. We have opinions. You have an opinion. Don't tell us that "if we don't like, don't watch." I want TNA to succeed, hence why I watch. Odds are, if people who didn't like TNA didn't watch, it'd be pulling .4-.5s. We have a right to our opinion (as you do yours), so don't tell us we shouldn't comment on a product we are choosing to watch.

Really enjoyed the ppv. Thought it was good, i mean it was never going to be mind blowing but imo tna did a good job. For those moaning about 'it didn't feel enough like ecw' because of the lighting, maybe don't feel that because they're not making the connection theirselves, or they're just looking for things to slag tna off on. I thought the lighting was ok. Maybe a bit too dark, but still-watching ppvs with darker lighting gives me a fuzzy nostalgic feeling-I associate it with ecw and early attitude era wwf, and that's a good thing! It was a shame there was no Styles though on commentary.
Too many negative mindsets on this thread, (or maybe, i wanna argue mindsets) and frankly its so boring...for what it was, it was good and enjoyable. I definetly did feel it represented the ecw feel, i mean so many other workers came back compared to the ons. I was chuffed to see Bill Alfonso in the main event, Joel Gertner at the start of the tag match and New Jack. Good show overall for what it was supposed to be, full of nostalgia, and a few decent matches.
On the other hand, if you didn't like the appeal of ecw when it was around, then that is an obvious reason for disliking it. But it's the other way around for me.

I hate how you guys cant respect opinions around here I didn't care for the show but just because some other ppl enjoy it your gonna poop on'em? No thats not how it goes we all have our own opinions If you didn't like the show okay if you enjoyed it great I'm happy you got your money's worth out of it but there is no need to start bashing people. I could care less about other peoples opinions. I like the poor kid to death but I find it hilarious that TNA could put on a 3 hour child raping PPV and SG will say "Thats the most entertainment Ive had since ______. TNA is stepping up their game blah blah blah." So I will continue to pick on him every time he praises TNA for something that even Stevie Wonder can see is an abortion.

You guys are really bitching about the color of ring mats? Who cares. I personally enjoyed the show. Got to see a lot of faces on tv again that I hadn't seen in years.

Ummmm wat?? Was RVD vs. Sabu too complicated for you? WTF. I felt like i was watching RVD vs. Sabu from '96. There was absolutely nothing wrong with that match, it was classic ECW. You dont get what I'm saying, jackass. How can you enjoy a match when they throw so much at you? It's like going to a restaurant and they give you like 5 or 6 meals two minutes after each other. I guess I've grown to enjoy WWE's story telling, to let things actually sink in and then give you something else. Thats what I'm saying, damn... First off dont call me a jackass, because your nothing but a WWE mark that ive noticed just runs around in this thread dogging TNA. I get what your saying, your acting like the match was a big cluster f*** which just proves your simple minded, they're wasnt too much going on in the match. It was a one night only event with 2 announced matches, 1 which had to be replaced and they still tore it up better then most WWE main events lately. So listen JACKASS, go back to your WWE hole and watch Jeff Hardy matches from his prime, you know when he was still on the meth.

I liked it allot, it was nothing compared to One night Stand 2005, But it was a one off and it was great to see some of the ECW originals again.
Thank You ECW.
