My latest buys. Again, sorry for awful picture quality. Group shot: Christian: Dreamer: Finlay: Basic Michaels: Entrance Greats Michaels: Entrance Greats Piper: Entrance Greats Mysterio: STEEL CAGE MATCH RINGMattel keep surprising us. We were wondering about that one in the background of the SDCC lifesize Undertaker pic, and lo and behold there's a cage ring already out! Bought this morning, was interested because we hadn't seen a Mattel cage ring yet. Not sure if I'll keep it or return it though. £34.99 is a lot to pay for a basic ring and a couple of basic figures. LOOSE CAGE PICS BELOWThe figures it came with were Cena and Orton, as you can see on the box. Cena is a less-detailed version of basic 1. Blue wristbands with the logos, but no armband and less detail on the shoes. Orton: Is the basic 3 figure (black trunks with orange detail) but with noticeably shorter hair. It's closer to the shaven-headed look. Maybe doesn't show the haircut so well in the picture, but in person, and especially side by side with the basic 3 figure, it stands out. I'd like to hold onto this figure, but £34.99, I dunno. I was hoping the figures would be more unique, like a green band Cena and Orton with a new colour detail on the trunks.

Wow awesome! Ive yet to buy a mattel ring and i dont own basics3 orton so theres quite a lot there to tempt me to get it which i may do if it hits here! Anypics of the loose cage would be good but i know youre considering keeping it or returning it. Lots of other great buys though mate, your pics do justice to them too. Great stuff and enjoy. Thanks for posting about the cage!
One question, what ring skirt designs do they give you with it?

Does the cage ring come with any ring skirt stickers?

Yeah, the same stickers as the standard basic ring I guess. 2 RAW stickers for the ringskirts, a WWE logo for the middle of the mat, and little WWE logos for the turnbuckles. I just haven't put them on in case I return it.

Great figures there, and the steel cage looks pretty good too. Just wondering, in argos do you ever get weird service from staff when you're getting figs? i have one near me but am always worried about reactions (even though they obviously couldn't be for me).

Yeah, sometimes. I've had "Don't tell me these are for you" from the checkout lady before. The guy at the collection point today started asking me my favourite wrestler as well. I've gotta say, I'm not a fan of the spring ring mat. Every time I place a figure standing on it, the whole thing bounces and knocks everyone down. Not so good for display. I hope the elite scale ring doesn't have a spring mat.

I like the look of it, i'll probably try and get it when the end of catalogue sales are on because like you said 35 quid is a bit too much

The pipes look a little off to me. I would spraypaint it black like TNA's cage.

God-damn great figures. The cage looks good, but I wouldnt get it, plus i think £35 is alot to spend, id rather get a xbox game for that price. Argos is pretty much the only place i can find figures, but i rarly go. When i go its ALWAYS the same lady, she dosnt even read out what it is becuase she knows what im in there for... But when she looks at me sometime... i give her the F'you look back...
