When Mattel first started with WWE figures I wondered if they were gonna be like Jakks. So far they are: Basic=RA, Elite= DA, 2 Packs=Adrenaline,Legends=CSDA etc. etc. They have done everything then some!( Flexforce,Tough Talkers etc. etc.) But they haven't done a new version of Classic Superstars. Since CS was one of the most popular series' to collectors why not bring it back? I have yet to pick up a Legends figure. But with all these SDCC pics I will have to pick some up! But if they brought back CS most Jakks collectors might consider buying Mattel. I guess it would be a smart business move. Tellme what you think! Thanks for reading! ;D

It would great to see a CS line but I don't the think Mattel would really want to copy everything!

Mattel can't do a CS Line, because that's a blatent ripoff of Jakks. Something good about Mattel though, is that they include SO MANY MORE ACCESORIES for the Legend's Line! Plus, they have the Entrance Greats. Which are pretty much Basic Legends Figures. Very soon they're gonna have Defining Moments, which, someone els epointed out, are gonna be like Entrance Greats two-packs, if they decide to go the two-packs route instead of making the figures single-carded. All in all, Mattel >>>>>> Jakks every day.

Legends is Mattel's version of Classic Superstars, regardless of silly "BASIC=RA!" comparisons.

And with all your analogies, here's one for you:
BASIC > RA ELITE > DA JAKKS = POOP MATTEL = GREATNESS THEREFORE, MATTEL > JAKKS. Period.

I doubt we will see a basic legends line because Elites are the line Mattel created for Collectors. And even though kids who play with toys is usually the target audience for action figures, Legends who have not been wrestling in years are targeted towards collectors due to the fact most of us remember them. The closest that you will get of a basic Legends set is Entrance Greats which is more expensive then the Legends series, so you might as well just buy the legends.

No, I prefer Elite Style to Basic style.

No, I prefer Elite Style to Basic style. Exactly EG are basic and they are Legends too. Look at what Mattel has released in EG line so far: Million Dollar Man, Rowdy R. Piper, Triple H., HBK, Rey Mysterio, Y2J, and still to come the Undertaker, the Rock, Cena...

Nope, elites are what got me back into collecting, I don't see why mattel would move backwards
