How is that ring real scale? its massive!! the wrestlers look to small in it,i cant be the only one who thinks this? I completely agree. I feel both Jakks & Mattel scale rings have been too big. Dont get me wrong, both rings are excellent and wonderful to look at but for play its too big. A real WWE ring is supposed to be 20 x 20, with about 1 foot out side for the ring apron. So a scale ring should be 20 x 20 inch with 18-19 of that inside the ropes. I'm still going to get this ring but it will be more of a display piece than a play set.

Okay first of all dude, it has been confirmed that the ring is actually 23" x 23" not 22" x 22" like Jakks RSR. Secondly Mattel figures are smaller in size on average to Jakks figures so my question was very legitimate. If you've got shelving or space on a table-top somewhere in your house that's at least 24" wide then that's great for you. I'm concerned about storage and thus far it looks like it's going right under the bed for me. I don't really have the space for it either, but that's on me, not on Mattel (or Jakks -- my RS cell ring has been boxed up for the last 18 months or so because there's no room for it). We know that wrestling ring sides are a little over three times the height of the wrestler, so if we're buying a ring that's scaled in the same way to 7" wrestling figures, we know it's gonna take up a hell of a lot of space.

Looks like a decent ring. Still not a fan of the turnbuckles. Does Jakks figures fit well in it? Yes they do. thanks for the pics. kollecting king, could you possibly take a couple of pictures comparing the Elite ring steps to the RSR ring steps? I actually can't get to the box i put them in as i boxed up a bunch of my accessories so at the moment i can't get that picture for you. Sorry. Also a few people asked for the Blue Cage and the Hell In A Cell to be placed on it. These are also packed away at the moment so sadly i can't get those pics either.

They hold the ropes which in real life they actually don't and can be removed to use the steel which actually holds the ropes. But by looks & material the jakks ones are more accurate by how they are actually used and connect the mattel ones are more accurate so there are actually plus points for both sides. Also as was said before let's not debate whos better as im not part of the whole jakks vs mattel stuff. I love collecting figures and i don't care what company and i proudly display all of my jakks stuff and my mattel stuff along with every other company that has released figures. Ill never forget what all the companies before mattel did and i in fact still collect those lines as i have some holes to fill so to me i honestly don't care who makes the figures as long as i like them and i honestly like things from every line every made.

For the most part their pretty accurate. I do think that they might be too big for play, my 8 year old brother hates the RSR b/c he can't reach the back of the ring. I think they are amazing though for those that like to display like me.

WM1 set has inferiour ring posts. Jakks will probably ship you some new WM2 ones which have much improved and dont cave in.

Thats not completely true ive had 1 wm1 & 2 WM2 along with a replacement set of posts and all 4 have caved in and i only display ive never played with any of them. Now the Elimination Chamber, Hell In A Cell, & Money In The Bank ones have been perfect and don't cave in. Well ill knock on wood and say the haven't yet...lol

My ESR is currently on order from Amazon. I'm excited for it because it will be the first wrestling ring I've bought in over a decade. I've only recently gotten back into wrestling in general, so I missed a lot of stuff. I'm going to be making some stop motion vids with it in a few weeks.

Fair enough on that. The ring doesnt look bad and the price seems great but personally Im not a fan of the turnbuckles.

I'm actually on the fence about this one. I guess I was just expecting more out of Mattels take on this. Aside from the turnbuckles there is nothing radically different between the two However my RSR is 7 hours away in a storage unit with no immediate plans to make it up there to get it. So Mattel may still get my money for it. And for the record,I too think the RSR and this Elite Scale Ring were/are too big. Drop 2 inches, bring in the 4 corners a little, and hike up the ring ropes about a half inch, then you have real Real Scale IMO.

If only Mattel could have developed a "spring loaded" action for the ESR. That would have really made the ring stand out, and wouldn't have been very hard to do...

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who thought the RSR and ESR are a bit too big.
