Reed "By God" Bentley in BCA form. Yeah, it's pretty much a Stone Cold figure but I swapped the torso onto the shorts, gave him Thrasher arms, sculpted the beard, painted the shirt & socks. Not a perfect reference picture but he's worn stuff on the figure before, promise! Did anyone ever make a strip poker Shawn using Headbanger legs? I think it would be perfect! with the soft plastic of BCAs, you really should exacto knife across the scalp then glue it back together for Frankenbentley Tried the technique I do with the RA heads and it didn't take. I was worried about messing it up.

I'm starting to collect some of the BCA boxed sets and was wondering how many completely new figures were released in these sets that were never released later on individually. The only one I can think of is The Executioner from the Buried Alive set. Are there any others?

He was in 2 of them though. 3 Faces of Foley and No Holds Barred.

None besides Executioner and Cactus Jack. Now, if you were to ask about all repaints exclusive to BCA boxed sets, that would be a much longer list.

Yea -- I was just trying to track down new figures (gimmicks) that never actually had a singles re-release. I noticed that a majority of the figure repaints or No Sunglasses Bret Hart eventually ended up in the "Best of" Series. Even though I'm not crazy about repaints, one of my favorite repaints that never got released is the Green attired Ultimate Warrior. I just got the Survivor Series set with him a couple of weeks ago -- great set.

So does anyone have any insight as to why the "BCA" Jakks have essentially no value? I know they were massively overproduced but it's crazy to see MOC figures that are nearly 20 years old that can't even sell for a $1? Seems like there is a decent following for the line... am i missing something?

Overproduction is a big part of it, but Jakks BCA figures also face stiff competition from other collectible toy lines of the past 20 years. I think the perception of BCA figures in all that time has greatly affected their value. For whatever reason, they don't live up to a certain standard of action figure for collectors in 2017 and thus are written off as a mere footnote in the history of wrestling action figures. That couldn't be further from the truth, but it is what it is.

That all makes sense but I still find it baffling if not a bit hilarious that these became so invaluable. I'm a huge Hasbro fan and have never had the same fondness for the Jakks so I get it to a degree but seems like they should at least be worth something.... I wonder if they'll ever have a day when that changes... probably not. I have a huge collection of these that i've wanted to offload for years but lately i'm thinking I should just donate them at this point. I remember thinking my Blue Blazer was going to be worth a fortune one day, Haha.

I told him I'd be very interested if he got any in. When I think about it, BCAs have probably given me my best figure memories overall.

I remember thinking my Blue Blazer was going to be worth a fortune one day, Haha. To say they have essentially no value though is a bit of a misconception. A complete set of Superstars Series 1 just recently sold on eBay for $75+. Select individual MOC figures can still go for $10-15 each. It all depends on what someone is willing to pay, but seldom do you see outrageous sale prices for these figures. The days of Blue Blazer or Razor and Diesel reaching near triple digits are long gone and never to return. Much like the collective interest in this line, but that's okay. It makes finding deals a whole lot easier when less people are on the hunt. The guy who owns a collector's shop in town told me he gets offered Jakks figures from time to time but doesn't see any value in them. I told him I'd be very interested if he got any in. When I think about it, BCAs have probably given me my best figure memories overall. He's a smart man. I wouldn't take them either unless I knew I had interested buyers lined up. It wouldn't take much to fool people into thinking they're worth more than they are, but my conscious wouldn't let me dupe someone like that. I think it would show on my face as I contemplated buying them back for my own collection lol.

Thats one of the reasons why I choose to get my MOC BCAs signed so it holds the most value possible to them.

For me the sentimental value is worth more than the monetary value. As lame as that sounds

I just feel like they overproduced and wound up with too much of something not a lot of people were ever going to buy. How many of the same Austin/Rock/Foley/HHH/etc. figures with different cardboard backing can you expect one person to buy? Sure repaints were a thing too, but even then, with figures seemingly being re-re-re-re-released and different lines coming out once every three weeks, the market just got way over-saturated with these things.
That said, I have a huge collection both MOC and loose and I've been slowly selling them off bit by bit to make room for the Mattel stuff, and I still get a surprising amount of money for figures I never expected to get more than a buck or two for. Just gotta be patient and the right buyer will come your way!

This may have been answered already, but its pages and pages back so I'm gonna ask again..... Whats' everyone's favorite figure (playability)? Favorite figure (looks/detail) ? Favorite accessory? Oddest person to hold a title in your old BCA federation? Undertaker Austin Table Custom Benoit held the IC Title for about 7 months till SummerSlam Playability: Jerry Lawler Looks/detail: undertaker Accessory: the belts Oddest person to hold a title: Bob Orton, Jr. & King Kong Bundy held my tag team titles for almost a year.

In the midst of retro guys and recollecting old Hasbros. My childhood friend and I realized how wonderful BCA were to play with. THey created the absolute most memorable times for us playing with figs. Looks wise, sure they can be downright ugly. TO me it's only part of their charm now. Great line and without a doubt the most genius wrestling toy ever created when it comes to pure playability.
