I'm new to the bca line - the many offshoots done on this style vary like some have actions, others don't
What are the series of bca's which don't have the actions as I'm not a fan of those and are just 'regular' standard figures with no gimmick (other than the bca action)? I have a Shawn (black and white zebra tights) where he has a big plastic thing coming out of his back for an action which ruins the figures look imo

I'd avoid anything with those on the package if you don't like the style. I'm betting chicago can elaborate on this more but I think pretty much every Shawn Michaels made after 1998 had that feature, whether it said slammers or not. Its possible some of the Kane figures do as well. Hope that helps!

If you're not a fan of Slammers figures, then you'll definitely want to avoid these: Signature Series 2 (Dude Love, Kane, Shawn Michaels) Slammers Series 1 (Undertaker, Goldust, Steve Austin, Bret "Hit Man" Hart, Mankind, Faarooq) Slammers Series 2 (Brian Pillman, Kane, Dude Love, Patriot, Shawn Michaels, Taka) Shotgun Saturday Night Series 2 (Kane, Shawn Michaels) DTA Tour Series 1 (Kane, Dude Love) Best of '98 Series 2 (Dude Love) Grudge Match 2-Packs (Undertaker vs. Kane, Taka vs. Brian Christopher - Taka only) Attitude 4-Pack (Shawn Michaels) Mick Foley's Triple Threat 3-Pack (Mankind, Dude Love) Slammers Autographed Collection 4-Pack (Shawn Michaels, Mankind, Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin) Special Collection Stone Cold Steve Austin 3-Pack (Canada version w/Slammers Series 1 re-release) Ultimate Collection 4-Pack (Kane, Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels) Go Mental 4-Pack (Dude Love) Shotgun Saturday Night 4-Pack (Shawn Michaels) Badd Blood 4-Pack (Kane) No Holds Barred 3-Pack (Kane) Raw Is War Monster Ring (Version that includes Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels) I'm pretty sure that about covers it. Shawn had his fair share of regular BCA figures after '98, but those were street gear figures (in jeans or tights/chaps painted to look like jeans). Anything not mentioned above for Kane should be Slammers-free.

The skin tones don't quite match, unfortunately, but I still like it. I wish we would have gotten an official BCA Hart Foundation Owen.

The ringside collection series 1 ref - is that Harvey Wippleman on the packaging but the ref is a 'generic' look?

Random BCA Series 2 Owen Hart question:
Where the paint tones always so different from the upper body to the legs?
I had this Owen right when it was released but don't remember it being so far off. The figure was stolen by a neighborhood kid and I never got it back, so I bought another one, which had a major difference in paint color.
Am I just remembering incorrectly?

Yeah, I think the reason for that would be the torso was cast in flesh tone, whereas the legs were cast in black and painted flesh tone. I never remembered it being that way either when I was a kid, but it's definitely noticeable now. Camera flash makes it look even worse.
Great job on the fix-ups, BoneCrunchingCustoms. I've always kind of liked those Austin legs, and especially with that HHH upper body. Short haired Owen is something I would like to do some time for my own collection, but I don't want to ruin any perfectly fine mint figures at the moment lol. Maybe if I get some beat up loose Owens, I might give it a shot. How did you cut the lever on the back of the Patriot? Was it more or less difficult to crack a Slammers torso than a regular BCA torso? For a guy of Del Wilkes' size, those arms are a HUGE improvement over the Slammers body.

@chicago Those legs were the best choice for Austin, albeit they are a bit thick, but would have been perfect for a Goldberg custom. The Slammers torso was a treat to crack because it released completely as soon as I removed all three screws. I used an xacto knife to cut the lever off and match the shape of his lower torso

The only thing I really take issue with is the size of the knee pads. I figured maybe the Slammers torso would separate easily because of the screws but I've never attempted it myself. Thanks for the confirmation. I've got a Slammers Patriot I wouldn't mind experimenting on since it's pretty well beat. I just might do that soon. I've always hated protruding tabs like that on wrestling figures. It automatically makes them inferior in my eyes.
Finally got hold of a Droz figure recently. Nice. I think everyone should give that figure a chance if they haven't yet. What would've put that figure over the top is if it had actually come with Droz's original name on the packaging. Check out this old placeholder listing for Breakdown IYH Puke on the UK eToys web site:

They were awful looking and I hated them in my fed.

1995-96 Hunter Hearst Helmsley. I always hated that he had elbowpads and no white wrist tape. The new arms didn't match up with the original torso so had to go with this one.
