I only have a few from the newer line. The ones i have are: Billy Gunn (MOC in storage) Kurt Angle Triple H Chris Jericho

I know everyone loves the head scans on RA figures and Mattel figures, but I have to say that some of the old BCA style figures had awesome head scans. Owen Hart series 2 figure for example, that is a really good figure for likeness of Owen. Some were pretty bad though, but I have to say that for that kind of figure, there was some good head scans and facial features.

Paul Bearer, Sgt. Slaughter, The Big Show/Paul Wight, Dan Severn, and Kurrgan were all great sculpts, too.

Does anyone know where I can find a list of the figures made in that taller BCA style. For some reason I don't remember seeing those in stores.

Yeah, I posted this earlier on in the thread.
That's kind of a rough list that I haven't updated in a while, but everything mentioned there, besides the prototypes, were released.
I think there was a Matt Hardy proto shown at one time, but I don't have a picture of it.

Thanks man. And that's an awesome blog you have, good job. I wish Jakks would make TNA BCA figures like the originals, that would be amazing.

There was an ad in the local newspaper awhile back about wrestling figures. When i called the lady. She was nice and she said they were her sons and he wanted to sell them to buy a PS3.When i got to there house they had all the figures laid out on the table and all the weapons were in a shoe box.The lady gave this big long speech about how she paid about $10-$30 each for the figures. Most of the figures were BCA's and they were in really bad shape.A few of them looked like they were dipped in a bucket of red paint. There was a total of 35 figures. When i asked her what she wanted she said $250.00 After hearing that i said sorry i am going to pass. I understand that when people sell figures they are trying to get the most they can. But they need to understand that they are not always going to be able to get what they paid for something when it is covered in red paint.

People like that just suck! I also have had situations where I was selling wrestling figures for lower than I should be, and people would still complain about the price and want it dropped. It seems that the ones who aren't collectors will demand to get figures at dirt cheap, but would easily demand way more than they should get when selling the figures.
I was selling 5 BCA's for $2 at a yard sale back in 2006 and people were complaining that it should be a dollar a bag for 5 figures. I just shook my head at it. I mean, is spending 2 dollars really gonna hurt your bank account?? Probably not.
People now a days are cheap as it gets, but also they expect to make serious cash when selling things. It's so ridiculous.

I loved BCA figures! I used to spend whole days just going from store to store to find new figures. And pretty much every store had some kind of exclusive series. The figure that I was definitely the most excited about finding was The Blue Blazer. And I happened to find it right before Owen died and the scalping of the figure got ridiculous. LOD from the Tag Team Series and the first Ken Shamrock were two others that I was extremely excited to find.
Before I got into BCAs, I was really into the JusToys Bend'ems. Then one day I was in KB Toys looking at Bend'ems when I saw a Goldust BCA. I had no idea these were even being made and I was extremely excited to "discover" a new line of figures. I was still pretty big into the Bend'ems alongside the BCAs since both lines were extremely cheap. I don't know how kids today can afford paying $10 for a figure! I remember the good old days of $4.99 for BCAs and 3/$10 for Bend'ems.

I definitely have some great memories from the BCA days. The first time I ever saw them I was watching Raw at my grandmother's house and someone in the crowd held up a BCA series 1 Undertaker. When my dad came to pick me up I was so excited to tell him about them. He acted like he didn't believe me but when we got home he had already found them in stores and bought Razor Ramon.

I had a lady tell me she had an extremely rare Bret Hart figure MOC. It turned out to be a best of 1997 Bret Hart with the paper like vest. She wanted $100.00 for it and then she gave me a big speech about how she seen it sell for $200.00 on ebay. (I figured everyone on here could use a good laugh) lol.

Yeah, I really wouldn't even waste my time.
You'll be lucky to find a single MOC BCA figure sell for over $20-25, and even then it would likely be an uninformed buyer looking to add The Blue Blazer to their collection.

Just curious, but let's say BCA's started in early 1995, who do you think would be in the first series??
I personally think that it would be the same, except exit Goldust and enter Jeff Jarrett.
Also, if they did start in 1995, we may have gotten sweet figures of Lex Luger, Tatanka, King Kong Bundy, IRS, 123 Kid, Bob "Spark Plug" Holly, and even rare tag teams like The Heavenly Bodies and Well Dunn.
The possibilities would be endless I say!!

Without a doubt, Bret Hart, Diesel, Razor Ramon, Shawn Michaels, and The Undertaker would have been included in the first series.
No Goldust means that we probably would have gotten Jarrett, or the 1-2-3 Kid like was once thought rumored, then debunked in the course of this thread.
Fill in the following series with names like these:
Bam Bam Bigelow King Kong Bundy The Smoking Gunns Allied Powers (Luger, Bulldog with long hair) The Bodydonnas (Skip, Zip, Sunny in any of her managerial looks) The Blu Brothers (Eli, Jacob) The Million Dollar Corporation (DiBiase, IRS, Volkoff, Kama, Tatanka, The Ringmaster, etc) Barry Horowitz Bob Backlund (in ring gear) Bob "Spark Plug" Holly Hakushi (I wanted a figure of his for so long) The Roadie Men on a Mission (King Mabel, Sir Mo) Adam Bomb Dean Douglas "Make a Difference" Fatu Savio Vega (in babyface PR attire) Isaac Yankem Jean-Pierre Lafitte Marty Jannetty Rad Radford Waylon Mercy Alundra Blayze (with older Women's title belt) Bertha Faye (and various other women's wrestlers from the time)
And that's just going off of pay-per-view appearances alone in the year 1995.
Of course, guys like HHH, Henry Godwinn, Goldust, and Ahmed would make their debuts later on in the year.

I wish they would have made an I.R.S figure in the BCA line.

Doink more than likely would have been made if BCA started earlier. Doink lingered until early 97 and was still on top in late 94 to even mid 95

Did the Jakks WWF figure license come at the right time? That's one very important question you have to ask yourself.
Jakks was founded in 1995 and my biggest concern would be with their ability to manage the license from the very beginning.
I don't think it would have been feasible to produce members of the 1995 roster anyway, but it is an interesting concept.
And I wish we could get a firm release date for Series 1, because frankly I'm still skeptical about the supposed late 1995 findings of those figures. How then do you explain Goldust's figure when he didn't even make his in-ring debut until October '95? The figure process itself takes about four to six months, which means that February to April '96 is more reasonable.
As far as I know, early May 1996 is when most stores across the U.S. received shipments of Superstars Series 1.
