You know, I think I remember getting The Undertaker from series 1 in September of 96. I remember playing with it while I was watching Mind games.

Without a doubt, Bret Hart, Diesel, Razor Ramon, Shawn Michaels, and The Undertaker would have been included in the first series.
No Goldust means that we probably would have gotten Jarrett, or the 1-2-3 Kid like was once thought rumored, then debunked in the course of this thread.
Fill in the following series with names like these:
Bam Bam Bigelow King Kong Bundy The Smoking Gunns Allied Powers (Luger, Bulldog with long hair) The Bodydonnas (Skip, Zip, Sunny in any of her managerial looks) The Blu Brothers (Eli, Jacob) The Million Dollar Corporation (DiBiase, IRS, Volkoff, Kama, Tatanka, The Ringmaster, etc) Barry Horowitz Bob Backlund (in ring gear) Bob "Spark Plug" Holly Hakushi (I wanted a figure of his for so long) The Roadie Men on a Mission (King Mabel, Sir Mo) Adam Bomb Dean Douglas "Make a Difference" Fatu Savio Vega (in babyface PR attire) Isaac Yankem Jean-Pierre Lafitte Marty Jannetty Rad Radford Waylon Mercy Alundra Blayze (with older Women's title belt) Bertha Faye (and various other women's wrestlers from the time)
And that's just going off of pay-per-view appearances alone in the year 1995.
Of course, guys like HHH, Henry Godwinn, Goldust, and Ahmed would make their debuts later on in the year. One can wish...lol

Realistically, it would have been nice if the Jakks line overlapped with the Hasbro line. If Jakks series 1 was released the same time as the Green cards. A line up of:
Series 1: Razor Ramon Shawn Michaels Bret Hart 1-2-3 Kid Yokozuna Lex Luger
Series 2: Billy Gunn Bart Gunn Diesel Jim Neidhart (heel) British Bulldog (dreds) King Mabel
Managers "Series 0" Henry O' Godwinn & Hillbilly Jim Skip & Sunny Paul Bearer & The Undertaker
Series 3 (around the time when series 1 was released): Goldust Barry Horowitz (short pack) Fatu (short pack) Sid Avatar Owen Hart Savio Vega
Tag Teams "Series 0" Skip & Zip Jerry Lawler & Issac Yankemm Diesel & Shawn Michaels (two popular guys, new deco, to sell well)
Then continue on from series 2 as series 4 and on. Owen would still be in series 2, with the King of Harts attire. A few substitutes could be made, because guys that later releases had as exclusives (like the triple threat boxset Yoko) wouldn't be new releases, so a new new release could be subbed in. Series 2, 3, 4 etc. would all be released an extra month or two sooner, as would basically all the lines, since they had extra time. Realistically, they'd add more lines in 98/99 as well, because of the added year of production time.

Did the Jakks WWF figure license come at the right time? That's one very important question you have to ask yourself. Jakks was founded in 1995 and my biggest concern would be with their ability to manage the license from the very beginning. I don't think it would have been feasible to produce members of the 1995 roster anyway, but it is an interesting concept. And I wish we could get a firm release date for Series 1, because frankly I'm still skeptical about the supposed late 1995 findings of those figures. How then do you explain Goldust's figure when he didn't even make his in-ring debut until October '95? The figure process itself takes about four to six months, which means that February to April '96 is more reasonable. As far as I know, early May 1996 is when most stores across the U.S. received shipments of Superstars Series 1. I had all of series 1 by March 1996, however, I did buy them from a dealer who got them directly from Jakks.

I only remember Series 2. I got a Shawn Michaels, Owen Hart and Undertaker for Christmas of '96. Then soon after that I remember getting series 3 Bret Hart, Ahmed Johnson and British Bulldog in January or February of '97. But I never did see Series 1. I don't think it may have came to Canada. If it did, then I guess I just totally missed out on it.

Yeah, that HBK is awesome! All of the HBK's were awesome. It's just too bad that Jakks didn't make many variants of HBK figures like they did for the likes of Billy Gunn, Roaddog, Triple H and such.

I miss the days of going into TRU and seeing a new series out. That you had no idea they were making.
Whenever i seen a new set my dad would always look at the back of the package and say "you already have most of these figures". I still remember not being allowed to get the series 3 HBK because i already the ones from series 1 and 2. I ended up getting the series 3 Bret because i hid my series 1 Bret and told my dad i only had the one from series 2.

I started a Picasa Web Album folder for BCA collection photos (not including my own, for now) to showcase on my blog, so I plan to add the photos from this thread and maybe even feature most of you for a month at a time.
I might even start saving photos of eBay lots to have more to look at on a rainy day like, well, today lol.

Just wonder, but were the WWE Signature Series figures that were released worth more than say normal basic lines??

You mean just the regular Signature Series figures with the facsimile signatures on their legs/torsos?
At first they might have seemed to be since it was a new concept for wrestling figures, but none of them were particularly valuable outside of Stone Cold's Austin 3:16 street gear figure in series 1. That one was a big deal for its time.
Goldust's repaint in that series was popular, as was Billy Gunn from series 2, the variant Edge/HHH/Stone Cold torsos from series 3, and series 4 through 6 due to them being among the last BCA figures produced (excluding the Backlash figures).

I personally hated the signature series when I played with figures. I'd try my best to rub off any signatures. I did it with my Legion of Doom and Big Boss Man. I'd try my best to get ones other than the Signature Series if I could

It was definitely not the first option for most collectors, but there were several repaints exclusive to that particular series.
Some of my favorites would include Series 1 Austin/Goldust, Series 2 Billy Gunn/Undertaker (even though I don't have them), Series 4 X-Pac, Series 5 Al Snow/Billy Gunn, and all of Series 6 (still need Austin).

I had the Goldust one, freaking awesome figure!! Since I missed out on the Series 1 and 3 re-release of that figure, I snagged the S.Series one. The S. Series 2 Billy Gunn and Roaddog were my first NAO figures I got. I didn't even know they existed. I went to Sears one night and they had them there so I had to get them. The baby blue colour the gave Billy for his gimmicks too definitely rawked. Those were my favourite ones he wore anyhow as it is.
I guess looking back at it, if I was a MOC collector then, I would have gotten all the S.Series figures. But as a teenager then who played with his figures still, I didn't care and I opened them and played with them.

I still have a S.Series 1 Mankind MOC around here somewhere.
I was at a flea market this past weekend and seen a Triple H from the S.Series ? (long dark green pants with gold H's on it). He wanted $25.00 for it. He told me that Triple H really signed the figure before it went into the package. I just walked away.

Good choice lol. The more ridiculous flea market stories, the better. And I really would not want to be in that person's position trying to sell someone on a MOC BCA figure for $25. I don't even think I could make that happen.

I ended up buying a CS Kane MOC for $11.00 from him which i though was a good deal. We usually make deals with each other. I remember when he bought out this guys collection and he asked me if i could help him price items. In return he let me have any loose figure for $3.00 and any MOC for $5.00 . I guess he forgot who helped him lol. Did any of you guys ever give a lower card wrestler a push in your fig fed? I once had Brian Christopher win wcw title. Only to lose it 3 days later to Kevin Nash.

I actually had lower card guys win the World Title. I had Edge, Billy Gunn, Owen Hart, Davey Boy Smith, Test, Jeff Jarrett, Faarooq and Vader all at one time win the WWE Title, along with having guys like HBK, Triple H, Bret Hart, Taker, Kane and such hold it.
That was the beauty of playing with toy wrestlers, you could push who you wanted to see be at the top.
