Hi everyone. Recently started to rebuild my BCA collection. What do you use to stand them? I have them in a Detolf but they fall over so easily. Any suggestions? I am thinking ringside stands, but don’t know if they are large enough to hold them.

BoneCrunchingCustomsI'm loving all of the recent upgrades. The decals bring out so much more of the characters than Jakks would have ever attempted. Bigger knee pads are a must for that Triple H. Gives it a more complete look and it's more believable than any available BCA parts. Edge looks much better than with Triple H parts. Ahmed's crotch piece without the legs reminds me of an adult diaper lol, but it doesn't detract from the figure. Which Rock head did you use? That's a strong likeness. The small elbow pads are perfect for those arms. Never noticed the logos on Pillman were backward! Maybe the Jakks designers were given poor reference material? Thanks for righting that wrong lol. Hitman logos are awesome. Have you ever thought about making a custom Jim Neidhart to go with it? DOA arms taking over is something I love to see. Seems like they would go well with just about any small BCA torso. Thanks as always for sharing the photos with us. Thanks, Chicago. I'm really enjoying the decals as well. They are very affordable and, like you said, bring so much more out of the figures. LOL you are right on with that assessment of Ahmed's crotch piece. That may be the strangest sentence I've ever typed. I'm not sure which Rock head that was, I got the figure in a lot I bought for parts. I think it was a new style BCA figure. The Pillman logo is so annoying once you notice it! I'm happy with how Bret turned out, too. Yes I would love to complete a custom Anvil. I ordered the decals for him from Curb Stomp City. I'll likely be going with a Vader upper torso, New Age Outlaw style arms and whatever lower torso will fit that is mostly black so I can avoid painting. Yes I am liking the DOA arms, too. I recently got 4 DOA figures in a used lot. I can get alot of use out their arms and black jeans mold. Hi everyone. Recently started to rebuild my BCA collection. What do you use to stand them? I have them in a Detolf but they fall over so easily. Any suggestions? I am thinking ringside stands, but don’t know if they are large enough to hold them. I see no reason why the ringside stands wouldn't work. I just tried some BCA figures on them and they work just fine. Some figures with wide stances like Yokozuna are too large for them though, but he stands well enough on his own. I'm working on a '96-97 Shawn Michaels. I went with arms and legs from Superstars 9 Vince, the Shawn Slammers torso (modified to fit on a normal crotch piece and tab removed) and Faarooq crotch piece. I still need to paint the rest of the gauntlets on his hands, paint around the decals and seal them and maybe add some silver to the boots if I can make it look right. I might also order a second set of the decals for the back of his tights because I ran out of hearts. I also need a tattoo decal for his shoulder. I'm liking the progress on it and I think it should look nice when I'm done. This is probably the most customizing I've done a single figure so far.

SenorLuchaI would say that list is correct other than Yoko but he wouldnt work for Bam Bam anyways therealworldchampionDecent suggestion but the Slammer Shawn torso was specifically molded for him so I thought it was the best choice 28 years ago today, Ron Simmons became the first recognized African-American world heavyweight champion. Coincidentally I finished my Acolytes custom of him today. Due to some unfortunate circumstances (me effing up as usual), Bradshaw's completion will be a few weeks away. This is one of my favorite customs yet.

This is probably the most customizing I've done a single figure so far. the hbk looks awesome except for two things, which are just personal preferance only...1)the over hang on the shoulders. but thats a part issue. there really aren't any better options in the line without elbow pads. and 2)i feel like that crotchpiece(that word just feels weird to say...) doesn't work for many people in the line. the standard one used for most figures in tights probably would've worked just as well. however, it has been close to 20 years since i've tried frankensteining bca parts together so the legs may just not fit with that one it reminds me of a shawn michaels i made back in the day. i used the billy gun legs with all of the shawn michaels' superstars 1 style upper body. i had painted it in his wrestlemania 10 tights to match the custom razor ramon i also made(sid legs, off the mat austin torso, sid arms...i can't remember what head i had used

During the quarantine, I discovered my old BCAs, in storage. I can't believe how dirty they were. I never realized how gross they got, as a kid, and I took great care of my stuff.
What's the best way to clean these? I might try and clean some of them up for sale in the classifieds.

Literally you can just firmly rub the arms & legs with your thumb. The friction will remove any dirt or debris from the rubber material.
I've used a magic eraser on matte areas or areas with no applique. That works well too. As said above, for most applications warm soapy water is the best route, but be sure to dry them out well. Leaving moisture inside can cause mold.
Just want to say, it is so good to see so many who still appreciate the charm of WWF BCA figures. These things bring me a joy that is unmatched by anything else.

This is the last picture I took of my BCA era collection just before we moved. Was in the process of building a display at the time but moving came last minute. Wish I had the space to display these now.

Also not sure if I will be using that torso style or not. Triple H (Summerslam 2000 attire) is complete

BoneCrunchingCustoms Love all the progress you've been making lately. I think Billy Gunn's legs look great for Shawn. Same for the torso. I'd probably need to see side and back pics of Faarooq's crotch piece to judge it properly. Acolyte Faarooq is as good as it gets. There's nothing I would do differently. I can't wait to see how Bradshaw turns out. I've got faith in you that you won't screw him up! Lol. I wonder what Droz would look like with original LOD arms. Bigger is probably better, though, so nothing wrong with the Executioner/Shotgun LOD arms that you chose. Not crazy about the torsos for Jericho and Triple H, but I like that you're incorporating parts from other lines. It makes them stand out from the same old generic BCA parts. Are those Shamrock legs on Jericho? dgnr8 I'm glad to see you're still showing the BCAs love. I just realized this thread passed the 10-year mark! Sorry I missed it/wasn't able to make a bigger deal of it. I'm sure your display would've been a great tribute to the line. Here's to hoping we all find the time/space to display the best of our collections someday.

I'll definitely keep updated on this thread and let you guys know. I've really been dying to get back into my BCA era collecting. Need to track down some odd sets, exclusives, Max Sweats and Playmates stuff. I'll probably be looking to buy some of that soon if anyone here has anything they wanna sell.

Here's to hoping we all find the time/space to display the best of our collections someday. Thanks, as always! The Billy legs work fantastic for Shawn, they look even better than the Superstars 1, 2 and 3 legs imo. I've since switched the crotch piece out with a Superstars 4 Austin one and re-did the hearts. Due to effing a couple of decals up as usual, I am two hearts short so I have more decals on the way. I still need to paint his gloves on too and work on his face a bit. Progress so far: Faarooq has to be one of my favorite customs yet. Thanks for the compliment. Bradshaw parts/painting are done now I just need to find a way to apply the decals better. I finished off Droz and I also lightened his hair and gave him some eyebrows. I still need to work on the brows a bit. Yeah there aren't many accurate torso choices for Jericho. I ended up going with the Pillman one to make a little more unique than the generic Sid one which is recycled alot. Yep I used the Shamrock legs. I think that's the only legs with kickpad molds. I won't post him until I complete him. As posted on Twitter, here is my completed Val Venis. The only original part I retained was the crotch piece, but I painted the design silver. I might still add a gloss finish to his boots. I filled in Dan Severn's magnificent moustache some and painted his lips and teeth to bring out the head sculpt a little more. I gave him the NWA World title, too. I also may add some chest hair. Just so many bones to pick with the original version. He is such a simple figure that required no unique parts at all. Here are the champions in my BCA-era fig fed And I figured I'd post this here as it has some BCA figs. I got these in random lots I got for parts but all of these remained intact so I shined em up real nice, turned em sideways and then posed them on my bed. I really like Tomko, Orton, Edge, Val and Jericho. Great additions to my collection.

BoneCrunchingCustomsThat Shawn is so good that I honestly wouldn't have noticed missing decals or paid any mind to him having bare fists. I know it's often said that Jakks had the parts to work with but just couldn't put them together in the right order, and that's absolutely the truth. I don't think I've ever had that point hammered home for me in quite the same way as I did after seeing your Shawn. I want to push those Acolytes to the top of my tag division right now, and I don't even have a fed in operation lol. I'm totally in agreement with you about Faarooq being one of your best. Bradshaw is no slouch either, but I just love that you got the right skin tone for Faarooq. Droz is a big improvement. With the tattoos, you'd almost think it was the production figure. It's a shame that Shamrock has the only kickpad mold in the entire line. Has to be frustrating for customizers, although thankfully his figures aren't hard to come by. You killed it with Val. Those are the right parts for him, no doubt about it. Another favorite to add to the growing list. Your work is as impressive as ever. I love what you did to touch-up Severn. It does make it a more expressive head. The likeness was already strong, but with those added parts, it reminds me much more of Severn than the previous body ever did or ever could. That's a great lot of figures. Val and Tomko are two that I always liked from my late-stage playing days. Never had RA1 Cena, but I hope to get it and Orton someday. Deluxe Aggression Booker stands out with the white gear. That head scan is an awesome resemblance. Great job on the Owen head swaps. If I ever get an extra/loose Owen, I'd be very tempted to trim his hair in the same way as #2. Any tips? Did you use a utility knife or just plain scissors?

Sorry guys been slacking on posting new stuff. Gonna try to get caught up here in the next week as ive been busy the last few months. Molly Holly, Crash Holly Nia Jax Molly I had to cut the original figure in half and patch the torso as it was all one piece. Nia Jax is half Elite torso/head and half JAKKS BCA Steve Williams legs and DOA arms. She is The Big Show of the womens division. My current Women's Division minus 3 figured that wasnt done yet. Gonna do an update photo of the group soon!
