I couldn't see myself going to a yard sale solely for wrestling figures, or even with them in mind.
Now, if I knew someone locally who was willing to offer me a deal on older MOC figures, that's another story. I might have to consider making the trip, but generally I just stick to cheap MOC lots on eBay (which used to be a lot easier to find).
My mother bought me a MOC Hasbro Fatu for $10 several years back (which I ended up reselling, and then bought a loose one for myself months later) and that was the last time I remember buying from a vendor near me.

I'm the type at a yard sale where I generally won't spend over $1 on ANYTHING. I always offer people half of what they have marked on anything, no matter what they have marked, lol.. I figure if they are willing to sell it in their yard, they are wanting to get rid of it.. I got a really like-new nice dresser at a yard sale for $3 I am the same way.I feel that if they want to sell it they will take my offer. The best deal i ever got was 5 loose BCA figures (Rock,Austin,Kane,Mankind,Billy Gunn) and a loose blue Hasbro Ring for $5.00 .The figures were in good shape but not the ring.

Did anyone make custom ring skirts for there ppvs? I always used construction paper and a marker. i did, i'd make logos from clipart, print them & blue tac them to the side, good ole days BCA rules. I fuucking hated when you had to start buying Titan Tron Live figures. i remember when TTL came out, i got the whole 1st set minus rock [wasnt there & never did get him] & i got home & they just sucked with my BCA, i hated them but then they grew on me

I remember when TTL made their debut. They looked horrible. I had hated figures with elbow/knee articulations since the Camo Carnage line because my CC HHH was all loose and floppy. When TTLs hit I bought maybe 6 more figures and I didn't buy another until Classic Superstars series 1.

My HBK red version, I think series 2, had his leg come off and it would never stay on so he wrestled with one leg and was part of the ministry with series 1 Bret, Goldust, and the first HHH that followed the series 1 Undertaker around and then the glow version. As for an exclusive figure, my purple Sid shattered into pieces from the waist in like his second match I was so pissed. I think he came in the set with Sunny in pink, Vince, and someone else.

The only figs I can remember not getting (because I never saw them) besides multiple repaints of people are Patriot, Cactus Jack, Godfather in green (did they make it? I have the orange). I think I saw the 3 pack of Foley once, but I couldn't justify getting it just for Cactus since I had like 5 Mankinds already because first 1 broke, replaced it, 2pack to get Bearer, then 4pack to get Executioner, etc.

I have always had bad luck with Undertaker figures. When i finally found Superstar series 1 i was so excited. When i got home i took him out of the package and stood him on top of my dresser until i could figure out how to add him to my storyline. While standing there his leg fell off. Which knocked him off the dresser and when he hit the floor it cracked his torso. The next day i went to TRU to see if i could buy another one but no luck. I took masking tape and made it look like he was wearing bandages. . When i finally found the series 2 glow in the dark Undertaker i bought it.When i got home i took it out of the package and had a match between him and Vader.During the match Undertaker went to chockslam Vader and Undertakers arm fell off. Once again i got the masking tape out and gave the Undertaker a few more bandages. . Did anyone eles have bad luck with figures?

Yeah, a few of my BCA's broke too. I too had an HBK figure's leg break off, the Series 2 one in the red gimmicks. All of my HBK's heads broke off eventually, it was weird. So did an Edge figure, Goldust, Owen Hart and Hawk. All their heads fell off. My Undertaker Series 2 leg fell off, and my Vince McMahon shattered at the waist too and I just used his upper body as a floating torso hahaha

I was playing with my figures at a friend's house. Owen Hart ran over Henry Godwinn in a Barbie car in their hardcore match and the end result was Henry's arm breaking. It broke in such a way though that the rubber plastic just had to be slipped back on over the peg, so a short injury angle and feud was had between Phineas and Owen, then Henry returned.
The figures I always wanted were the Truth Commission. I seen them one time in stores. We were going fishing the next day and my dad just straight refused to let me buy them (I had $10 in pocket). I ended up blowing most of what I would have spent on them on candy.. I thought about the figures for weeks and always hoped I'd find them again, but I never did.

I'll never forget the day i heard the first STONECOLD STEVE AUSTIN figure was in the stores. Back in the day you didn't know a figure even exsisted untill it hit store shelves. I was camping and my friends little brother called and told me he just found Austin. I didn't get home till late, but that figure was the only thing on my mind , so I rushed to a 24hr. Meijer and bought the figure. I don't think I have been more excited about any other figure to date.

HBK went for sweet chin music and his leg popped off.The bad part is i had Goldust pickup the leg and start beating HBK with his own leg. I was trying to get as much heat on Goldust as i could.

I took back my Series 2 HBK to Walmart for a refund and I got Series 3 HBK out of it. So it worked out pretty good. I ended up buying Series 2 HBK again a week later when it was back in to get. So I had both of them to work with.

I previously mentioned my troubles with HBK red series 2 leg came off & Sid 2 purple waist shattering. I’ve had others though. Undertaker Series 1 leg came off, Undertaker that came with the rubber cape his head came off, Farooqe’s arm came off, LODAnimal first one his head popped off, first Mankind’s head came off, JR’s waist has cracked in half (I think it’s because it has been in the sitting position for all these years). You can certainly tell which ones have been through hardcore matches because they’ve lost some paint and have many battle scars haha.

It's really not that big of a deal that this thread isn't stickied, to be honest with you.
I'd rather have people ignore the option and keep with the conversation so that it's a front page mainstay on its own without the help of mods.
Anyway, I've mentioned before the brutality that was faced by my Superstars Series 2 Undertaker (hands cut off, deep etchings in the face, the wobbliest of wobbly torsos, tattoos out the wazoo, etc). It was essentially the biggest jobber in my fed because of the ass-kicking it could take on a routine basis.
I miss that figure to tell you the truth lol, because I would love to take pictures of it now to show everyone.
I've also had numerous heads that popped off (Goldust and Vader, especially) and other limbs from extensive play or just because of poor quality control. I know that I have a few mint figures in my collection now, including a few Superstars Series 3 Mankinds, which have one leg that flops around from side to side. Oh, and I just so happen to have a Series 2 Undertaker which, you guessed it, has the loosest torso despite only removing it from its packaging.
In my opinion, besides having super tight joints as a brand new figure (or the ever-unpopular tight arms with loose lower body, or vice versa), the most annoying thing that can happen to a figure you're looking forward to opening/using in your fed is when a broken peg occurs and you hear that bad boy rattle around inside the torso nonstop.
I'd rather have all four limbs fall off (not mine, the figure) at once than to have to hear a broken peg in a new BCA figure lol. I wouldn't say it ruins the figure in my eyes, but it's pretty close to that.

I never got another series 2 HBK.I did end up getting a series 3 HBK because i told my parents my series 2 had broken.
I had a Mankind figure that had a rattle in the waist. It was the one from the 2 pack that came with Paul Bearer.
I was going thru some papers last night and i came across the paper that had the line up for my first ever BCA fig fed ppv.The line up was:
WWF title match Bret Hart (champion) vs Vader - winner Bret Hart
#1 contenders match HBK vs Goldust - winner Goldust
WWF tag team title match (there were no champions before this match)
LOD vs The Godwins - winners The Godwins.

One time my dog got a hold of some of my figures. He got my Xpac pretty bad. He had a hole in his back and you couldn't move his left arm very much.

The Godwinns over the LOD for vacant titles?? Hmmmm.... I am sure the fans would have rioted over that one haha
I had some weird tag teams too hold the belts for some reason, guys who never even tagged in the WWE at the time. Vader & Bradshaw were a dominating tag team for me as heels, so were The Rock & Ahmed Johnson as a heel tag team. Test & Val Venis held the belts too but as a baby face tag team, the matches they had with the Outlaws were amazing! haha
