Sweet gets man. Love how they continued the BCA lines even after TTL. Despite not completely feeling the same as the originals, they were cool and in updated attires. You can totally do through the ages, 1996-2001 WWF.
I'd be tempted to open that Stone Cold set (I'd open them all if I could, especially Bulldog and Sid), just to see how that table set up looks.

I just checked my e-mail and saw that Curt Hawkins is following my blog's Twitter page. That's cool. Both Hawkins and Ryder would have made for great BCA figures if the line were still active to this day. Who is one current WWE Superstar/Diva/Authority figure that you would like to have seen made with Bone Crunching Action?

I remember having a Ken Shamrock BCA in Blue attire a few years ago, but I'm not sure what series it was. Can anybody help me out? Sure. What you had was a Superstars Series 8 "Team Corporate" Ken Shamrock BCA figure. It was also released in a Sam's Club Exclusive 4-pack and a Grudge Match Series 2-pack with B.A. Billy Gunn. They were all the same Ken Shamrock figure and were available in stores in June/July of 1999. I think they should have done an Adam Bomb BCA figure....love the hasbro and the classic just wish they would have done a bca. Adam Bomb/Bryan Clark left the WWF months before Jakks Pacific even acquired the license to make their figures, so it was definitely not a possibility at that time. Now, if Jakks had the license in '94 instead of late '95/early '96, Adam Bomb could have possibly made it in Series 1 or 2 or a Managers Series with Harvey Wippleman. Cant post pics since im on my phone but just bought series 1 razor ramon and diesel MOC but these will be opened so i can add them to my BCA line since i alrdy have them MOC but i picked them up for $30 together! Great buys. It astounds me how readily available Diesel and Razor are now considering their once-legendary status among Jakks collectors. Would love to see the Wyatt Family in classic BCA form. Excellent choice. A Wyatt Family/Ministry of Darkness feud is the stuff of dreams. I would go with an oddball choice in R-Truth/K-Kwik. His appearance hasn't changed much over the years, and his style is every bit as enjoyable now as it was then. I did open them, in fact, along with several other MOC figures I had lying around that were taking up space. I'll likely keep the Austin set sealed unless I need to get to something inside the package. I do love that blue Grapple Gear table.

I still have that Shamrock figure, I remember getting it from TRU in summer 2000. Loved it, he became WWF Champ in my fed lol.
Never noticed his bare hands though, I know they reused whole bodies for the individual figures, but they should have at least painted his hands black.

I remember buying the single box set Austin just for the announcer table. I used that Austin as a camera man on my wcw show.

When I saw this on Amazon for under $6 shipped, I couldn't pass it up. When it was released in January 1999, the Taka vs. Brian Christopher Grudge Match Series 2-pack retailed for $9.99 to $12.99 at stores such as K-Mart and KB Toys. The release of the set also marked the final time either wrestler was made for the BCA line. As such, Taka finished with two figures to Brian Christopher's three. Taka: Slammers Series 2 (debut), Grudge Match Series 2-pack (Slammers re-release) Brian Christopher: 2 Tuff Series 2 (debut), Best of '98 Series 1 (2 Tuff repaint), Grudge Match Series 2-pack (Best of '98 re-release)

Little does he know that you can go on eBay and get MOC BCA figures for $5 each. Great pick up though! That green Brian Christopher looks better than the orange one that came with Jerry Lawler.

Forbes Magazine ran a piece on Jakks Pacific and its co-founders in early November 1999 as the BCA era was drawing to a close. Check it out. Attachment DeletedThe attached PDF includes a photo of Friedman and Berman posing with Jakks products.

I bought a lot of 96 wrestling figures and 3 rings from someone in the local newspaper for $50.00 and it had 2 of the bca refs in it.

This Day In BCA History: April 3 1996- A guy named Chuck inquires about the new line of WWF figures that he heard were coming out early this year. Link
- Net Nut476 says they are on the way. Apparently, Jon at Ringside Collectibles will sell you a set. Link
- Scott Liefer says he saw a picture of them in a price guide today. There is even a Goldust! Link
1997- The next WWF line (Superstars Series 5?) is rumored to include: Savio Vega, Miguel Perez, Yokozuna, Sunny, Owen Hart (repaint), and The Undertaker (a new mold). Link
- A series of Tag Team 2-packs is rumored to include: Legion of Doom, The Godwinns, Owen Hart and British Bulldog, The New Blackjacks, and The Headbangers. Link
1998- The new 2 Tuff and Shotgun Saturday Night Series (1) Jakks figures are in stock and shipping right now from Ringside Collectibles. Link
- A guy named Brian asks if anyone knows whether or not the new Shotgun Series Rocky Maivia has "The Rock" printed on the back of his trunks. Link
1999- Photographs of the new Superstars Series 8 figures (a.k.a. prototypes) are now out at Ringside Collectibles (from April 2). Link
- The set includes six completely brand new figures, including: The Rock, Ken Shamrock, Big Boss Man, Shane McMahon, Shawn Michaels, and B.A. Billy Gunn. Link
2000- A guy named MR. SOCKO says he ordered "WrestleMania: All Day Long" yesterday and there was a five minute special dedicated to the newest Jakks toys. Link
- During the segment, Back Talkin' Crushers were mistakenly referred to as Bone Crunching figures. Link

This was just something that I thought would be fun to throw together...before the clock strikes midnight. I consider it a very small representation of the BCA research that I like to do in my free time. I've found there is much to be learned from the Interwebs.

ellisd Thank you so much for doing that! I loved it. You knocked it out of the park with Goldust, and I will never not think of BCA 'Taker when I see current figures of him in purple gear. Elite 19 HBK reminds me of how irked I still am to this day that Jakks never did Shawn in this attire for the Grudge Match 2-pack with Vader. Ugh. Oh, and I have a feeling that we won't be seeing Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw or Flash Funk as Flashback Elites anytime soon lol.
