After the LJN ring was recalled in the early '90s, Jakks made alterations to the original ring posts in order to use that existing mold. By the time the Raw is War Monster Ring was released in November 1997, they had likely shifted their focus to the creation of the Attitude Ring. I don't think the posts have been out of my BCA ring since 1997 Love the project, feel free to continue sharing updates along the way! Its awesome to see someone compelled to do BCA projects I gave up and left them in on my two rings for several years until I absolutely had to pack them away in their original boxes. It took me hours to remove them without doing damage to the bases, but man did I ever rough up my bare hands in the process lol. Attempting to disassemble the LJN/Monster Ring is a task that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Makes sense to me! and thanks Naptown! was able to get it done today! and yeah i wouldnt wish on my worst enemy either lol. here it be! Full Size Full Size
One more pic for fun!

Also found this guy the other day! I completely forgot about him lol. I made this when i was 11 or so (so somewhere between 04' to '05). it did have the normal Trips head (this figure got turned into alot of RVD customs didnt it) painted with black hair but I got this head off an RVD Unlimited figure so i used it.

You, sir, have exceeded my expectations; the white ASR posts have never looked better. If I ever get my hands on a spare near-mint Monster Ring and ASR posts, I will gladly pay you to pimp my ring lol. Thank you so much for sharing these pics with us, and maybe start up a BCA pic fed now?

What do ya'll think is the best Diesel? Superstars Series 1 Diesel has the advantage of being the original, but it doesn't come with a display stand. Diesel from the Limited Edition Superstars 2-Pack with Razor Ramon has exclusive "Big Daddy Cool" text on its chest, but it's pricier and is more a Series 1 re-release than a repaint. Superstars Series 1 Diesel was also specially re-issued on a Series 3 card for Diesel's third and final BCA figure release. It is the only one of the three to come equipped with a display stand. The fact that it can be properly displayed whilst being essentially the exact same figure as Series 1 makes it the clear winner; that one simple peg hole in its boot makes all the difference for me.

BCA's are pretty cheap so they're easy to get into and collect. I love it haha

I'm actually think about doing a fig fed when I'm bored haha. like all the jobbers are the main even talent. Al Snow is heavyweight champ right now I'm also thinking about getting some blue turnbuckles to make it more like that era of ring haha.

I wonder now if BCA figures of Chyna will drastically go up in price on eBay now with her passing. That always seems to be the drill when a wrestler passes away. Suddenly all their figures end up on eBay at ridiculously high prices.

Suddenly all their figures end up on eBay at ridiculously high prices. A loose BCA figure of hers is going for $20+ at the moment, so consider the rat race on. I'm not nearly as disgusted with those people as I am with myself for passing on 2 Tuff Series 1 and Live Wire Series 1 countless times before. I still need them as much as I ever have, but I guess I'll just have to wait this one out until everyone gets their fill.

Hey Chicago, I wanna ask. I always believed that the head used for Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart, was used for jeff first. Then I looked at superstars series 6 and saw blackheart owen hart and "double j" jeff jarrett (the one with the glasses) were apart of that series. So was Owen Hart the first to use that head?

Yeah, Owen's figure came first. Superstars Series 6 "Black Hart" Owen Hart was released in September 1998. The Owen head sculpt wasn't co-opted by "Double J" Jeff Jarrett until January 1999 when Shotgun Saturday Night Series 2 hit stores.

"Wildman" Marc Mero is most noted for wearing black and red color attires, such as those depicted by his two Jakks BCA figures in 1997, but did you know he also wore blue, white, and yellow during his first year with the WWF? If you could choose one of the three looks below for a second BCA "Wildman" repaint at the time (1997), which would it be? Blue, white or yellow? It's worth mentioning that, initially, Mero's debut figure (alongside Sable) in Managers Series 1 was painted in white; it was later changed to black for the final product. Blue attire worn on October 21, 1996 when he lost the Intercontinental title to HHH on RAW. White attire worn on November 25, 1996 in a singles win (via DQ) over Billy Gunn on RAW. Yellow attire worn on January 11, 1997 in a singles loss to Fake Diesel on Shotgun Saturday Night. I think the blue pops most of all, so that gets my vote. Even if there was no chance in hell of ever getting that detailed entrance robe.

I got my first "wildman" marc mero on the way actually, the red rights one that looks normal, not the black tights 2-pack one with the painted bug eyes haha

I took the head off one of my STOMP kane doubles to use for a custom maybe and i put it on this spare body (i used it for some original guy called Toro so had to spray over on the back) and liked how it looked. I had a blue paint pen (looks a lil darker in person) laying around and this came out! I painted over the boots and some "socks" I had painted on before. also painted over the eyes. I feel like most of the time you couldnt see his eyes that well in the ring so it would look cool to have them blacked out. It's pretty weird seeing kane with blue. and in street attire.. but cool too! I imagine this Kane exists in another universe where he turned face and started dressing like this. moody pic from the front porch! how appropriate: also heres how the head and hair looked before I masked and sprayed the head:

Blue seems the obvious choice there, but white would have been okay. Yellow was kind of a one off that I don't think he ever wore that much as I recall. BCA_Bawstud, That's an interesting looking Kane custom. I was always waiting for Kane to change up his colors back then, but it never happened. Blue and black would have looked pretty sweet. Teaming with X-Pac if he'd have done DX Green and black that would have been amazing, too.
