Nice buys J Man Graves! Owen and Bret look great together, even if packaged separately. On a completely unrelated note, did anyone else spot the BCA Rocky Maivia figure in the background of The Edge and Christian Show? It's a little tough to see at first, so I took out my old camera and zoomed in on the screen. I seem to recall WWE using various Rocky toys for a tribute to The Rock a while back, so maybe that's why it is still there in the WWE offices. BCA Rocky Maivia in that particular attire can only be found in the Championship Title Series (#1) 4-Pack and Shotgun Saturday Night Series 1.

This post got me to thinking about another prototype photo I stumbled across last Thursday when I shared the image of the S.T.O.M.P. Series 2 shark cage. It's a nice clear shot of 2 Tuff Series 1 Goldust and Marlena from before the figures were released: Here is what the final product looks like for comparison: Even though the prototype is basically a Signature Series 1 Goldust figure from the neck down, I've got to say that I like the look of it better than the final figure. I mean, don't get me wrong, the figure we received is an exceptional repaint (and the only one of his BCA figures with "Goldust" printed on its back), but it seems... incomplete to me. Maybe because the hair wasn't painted properly on the one side of his head? I don't know. Which do you guys prefer? The prototype or the final product?

I like the prototype more.
Still, that's one of my favorite Goldust attires so I'm glad it exists.

I don't mean to derail the thread, but I want everyone in here to know that the buying, selling and trading of BCA figures should be done exclusively on the Classifieds board. I'm sure you are all familiar with the rules, and I understand if you just want to get word out to any fellow collectors, but advertising does not belong in here. There is still plenty to discuss and I know we'll have a good time; I just don't want to see this thread locked for any reason if it can be prevented. Head on over to Classifieds if you want to deal in BCA figures from now on. Thanks!

totally understandable & rules are rules, so i'll abide by them but this thread is probably better for people trying to buy & sell bca's than navigating through the classifieds since its dedicated to just bca's

Figured I'd share this project I'm working on. Putting some Elite Ring Posts and turnbuckles on my monster ring. I think once it's done it'll be pretty awesome! The posts have to be heavily modified to fit meaning you have to cut off alot of the post for it to fit in the hole (i got them pretty cheap so no qualms here). Hoping for the rest I can grind down in a way they fit even better. Man you all know how hard it is to get these posts out too. I used two butter knives to get the first one out haha. Now that I think about it... why the hell didnt Jakks just make lower posts for the new scale figures I: I mean for this first ring I can understand, you have the LJN molds and you need to produce a ring but by the time the Raw is War ring came out I would figure you'd think they'd rework the mold for the posts haha.

It would have made a world of difference with the BCA figures, but I doubt Jakks thought of the Monster Ring as anything but a placeholder ring. After the LJN ring was recalled in the early '90s, Jakks made alterations to the original ring posts in order to use that existing mold. By the time the Raw is War Monster Ring was released in November 1997, they had likely shifted their focus to the creation of the Attitude Ring. The earliest mention of the Attitude Ring that I've found is from about eight months after that, in early July 1998, when Ringside Collectibles started taking preorders for it. I don't think the posts have been out of my BCA ring since 1997 Love the project, feel free to continue sharing updates along the way! Its awesome to see someone compelled to do BCA projects I gave up and left them in on my two rings for several years until I absolutely had to pack them away in their original boxes. It took me hours to remove them without doing damage to the bases, but man did I ever rough up my bare hands in the process lol. Attempting to disassemble the LJN/Monster Ring is a task that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

Might be a weird request but does anyone have a photo of the back of the Backlash series 2 Shawn Michaels figure?

Here you go (HBK is on the right; Backlash Series 4 Edge is on the left): For those that don't know, Backlash Series 2 Shawn Michaels is a Slammers Series 2 HBK repaint based on the attire he wore at the 1997 Royal Rumble.

Excellent, thanks Chicago! Just wanted to clarify if he had the Texas state logo on the back of his tights also.
