BoneCrunchingCustomsThat Shawn is so good that I honestly wouldn't have noticed missing decals or paid any mind to him having bare fists. I know it's often said that Jakks had the parts to work with but just couldn't put them together in the right order, and that's absolutely the truth. I don't think I've ever had that point hammered home for me in quite the same way as I did after seeing your Shawn. I want to push those Acolytes to the top of my tag division right now, and I don't even have a fed in operation lol. I'm totally in agreement with you about Faarooq being one of your best. Bradshaw is no slouch either, but I just love that you got the right skin tone for Faarooq. Droz is a big improvement. With the tattoos, you'd almost think it was the production figure. It's a shame that Shamrock has the only kickpad mold in the entire line. Has to be frustrating for customizers, although thankfully his figures aren't hard to come by. You killed it with Val. Those are the right parts for him, no doubt about it. Another favorite to add to the growing list. Your work is as impressive as ever. I love what you did to touch-up Severn. It does make it a more expressive head. The likeness was already strong, but with those added parts, it reminds me much more of Severn than the previous body ever did or ever could. That's a great lot of figures. Val and Tomko are two that I always liked from my late-stage playing days. Never had RA1 Cena, but I hope to get it and Orton someday. Deluxe Aggression Booker stands out with the white gear. That head scan is an awesome resemblance. Great job on the Owen head swaps. If I ever get an extra/loose Owen, I'd be very tempted to trim his hair in the same way as #2. Any tips? Did you use a utility knife or just plain scissors? Thanks, ChicagoI like how Shawn is turning out, I just wish that torso was released minus the slammers eyesores on his back. Heh heh, I'm thinking about giving the Acolytes the belts as well they really look good with them. Adding them to the roster also helps to fill out both the tag division and Ministry stable. The Curb Stomp City Decals really turned Droz into a great looking figure. Yeah those Shamrock legs are pretty easy to find, luckily. I just wish that CS head was a bit smaller on Val but I wasn't able to get the skin tone to look right when I tried to paint the BCA head. Although the Austin kneepads and high boots combo is more of what Val wore, the thighs are a bit skinny for him. I'm real happy with how Severn looks now. The Sid body is great but was very overused and certainly was not akin to Severn's physique. I totally agree on the Booker scan. It's his best one, Mattel scans included. For Owen I used an xacto knife and a dremel to kinda round the bottom of the hair off. The "danger" Owen figure could have benefited from a new head sculpt with a similar hairstyle to this, he was no longer sporting the flat top. I finished my Brock Lesnar BCA and DX In Your House 97 Shamrock Shamrock turned out great imo, but I didnt get the tattoo placement perfect on Brock. Still looks alright I guess. I'm definitely not attempting to re-apply it. I'm still working on Jericho and a Summerslam 2000 Benoit.

Sorry guys been slacking on posting new stuff. Gonna try to get caught up here in the next week as ive been busy the last few months. Molly Holly, Crash Holly Nia Jax Molly I had to cut the original figure in half and patch the torso as it was all one piece. Nia Jax is half Elite torso/head and half JAKKS BCA Steve Williams legs and DOA arms. She is The Big Show of the womens division. My current Women's Division minus 3 figured that wasnt done yet. Gonna do an update photo of the group soon! Crash and Molly look great! For Molly I think I would have gone with a black trunks style crotch piece and maybe some black DOA legs or something similar, but the blue also looks cool and more unique. No matter what bottom piece combination is chosen, it will never do any justice to that booty! Super creative on the Nia custom and I like how she towers over the rest of the women. Your womens roster is really looking good. Victoria stands out to me!

Ive always felt the BCA line was missing something. I’ve been looking for a bca bam bam. Had he left at that point? I know theres been alot of photos online of customs people has made. Sometimes you just gotta make what they didnt to get what you want.

BANG! My custom version of DDP upon moving to WWF in '98 after losing his final WCW match to Goldberg at Halloween Havoc. Good part choice on this one. I really like it. May borrow your formula to make a long haired DDP.....if there are any long haired heads left out there after everyone used the hair for Kenny Omega customs lol.

I recently added Cactus Jack and Executioner to the collection. Also pictured is a custom Mr. McMahon and a new ref. I had to do some cleaning up and painting on Executioner. Turned out great I think.

zappa2510 I love what you're doing to convert more women wrestlers to the BCA style. It's something that I haven't seen attempted before, but I think you're as equipped as anyone to be able to pull it off. Nia Jax is the best yet, and I can't wait to see what else you've got planned. BoneCrunchingCustoms I'm grateful that we at least got the Backlash HBK with the revised Slammers torso. That little change makes a big difference. Seriously, do it! The Acolytes look too good not to be strapped lol. It bothers me that Jakks got started on making their figures (including the new BCA prototypes) but couldn't finish the deal. Do you think all of the decals Curb Stomp City makes can be used for BCAs? Have you thought of doing any custom orders with them? Does it matter to you if the parts you use have BCA or not? I love those Austin legs for Val. Even if they are a bit skinny for him, I wouldn't want them to be much thicker. I guess you could Frankenstein the upper thighs from Sid's legs and Austin's lower legs to combine the best of both. With the exception of the great head sculpt for Severn, his figure always felt like an afterthought. He needed a t-shirt torso or something to set him apart from the rest. Yeah, when I think of Owen with a flat top, I'm reminded of Summer '97. It's a real shame that the Grudge Match 2-Pack with HHH (released OVER a year later) couldn't benefit from that newer S.T.O.M.P. Series 2 head sculpt. Brock and Shamrock are awesome. The tattoo placement doesn't look bad to me. Those two would be guaranteed main-eventers in any fed of mine. Love DDP's decals. The only thing I'd probably change would be the crotch piece. He's got quite the dumper on him lol. Benoit is excellent. Those are the WCW Souled Out 2000 decals, correct? I love how those came out. Cactus and Terry (no Funk ) are must-haves. Two quality BCA figs, and of course they were limited exclusives.

First figures I ever had were LJNs, and then on from there. But of all the figures during the days I stilled played with them, BCA were my absolute favorites to play with.
I don't know if I actually think these were the most playable figures, or if the most fun I ever had with figs, was during their run.

Two quality BCA figs, and of course they were limited exclusives. I didn't know the Backlash Shawn had a revised torso Too bad it's so hard to find While I was never a fan of the "new" BCA style, I always hate seeing unreleased prototypes. The TTL Jarrett still makes me mad too. I finally finished The Acolytes. I swapped out Faarooq's head with an RA one, I think it has a better likeness and the skintone matches up better with the body. Looking good with the straps The only thing you really have to consider regarding Curb Stomp Decals is the size. I find the Retro style works best on the BCA crotch pieces and the Mattel style fits on most upper torsos and legs. There are some exceptions, of course. Most of the pics on Curb Stomp's site show the decals on Mattel figures, so I just hold up the BCA figure I plan on customizing and I compare the proportions to determine if I need the Mattel ones or the Retro ones. Sometimes I end up ordering both if I'm unsure. The dude that works there is also super helpful if you have a question. The only custom I've had Curb Stomp do for me so far is Christian's tattoo. I'm not real stubborn on whether the parts I use actually have bone crunching action or not, especially if I paint them because bending the joints in the opposite direction can crack the paint anyways. My goal is to just try and make them look like authentic BCA style figures, so if the likenesses and proportions aren't perfect, I'm fine with that. I don't remember Kurrgan having abs like Tony Horton or X-pac having veins popping out of his arms like Scott Steiner but, for whatever reason, it works within the BCA style. I prefer the Austin legs for Val too. The Frankensteining of parts is a little beyond me and my experience at this point, but I would be curious to see what the result would look like. Severn with the sweaty grey shirt and towel could have been an awesome, unique-looking figure. Thanks for the Brock and Shamrock compliment. Shamrock would certainly be one of my favorite customs. I love how the heads are so easily interchangeable so I can choose from calm, cool and collected Shamrock to IN THE ZONE! Shamrock. Yeah lol the DDP crotch piece is a whole thing. The Faarooq legs wouldn't work with a typical crotch piece so I didn't have much of a choice if I wanted to use them. My other option was a Kama lower body but it seemed a bit thick as well. DDP was more tall and lanky. Neither looked perfect to me, but this was closer. The Souled Out 2000 decals are indeed what I used. It's also the attire he wore for his WWF debut against HHH on Smackdown. I still have the yellow Summerslam 2000 decals too if I plan on making a second Benoit. Yeah Cactus and Executioner eluded me all these years until recently. I'm stoked to have them now. Thanks for taking the time to comment I got banned from Twitter so I have to make a new account there

I don't know if I actually think these were the most playable figures, or if the most fun I ever had with figs, was during their run. I think both. I loved the playability of BCAs. While they didn't have the most articulation, the softer plastic on their arms and legs made most moves pretty easy to perform because they were somewhat bendable. BCAs was without a doubt my most fun playing days.

That was a real big deal for me at the time, haha.

Benwah custom completed This is incredible! Once I get back on my feet (just got laid off on Monday, which is a pretty swift kick in the junk) I'm gonna start hunting down the BCAs I never had as a kid so I can have them now and even some of the ones I've lost from my childhood as well. I've been real nostalgic for this era of wrestling and life in general in the last week or two. It was a better time.

@kyoken Getting laid off is lame, hopefully things pick up soon. Luckily most BCA figures are pretty common and affordable. They're also easy to clean up if you can find loose ones in decent shape. The Ministry of Darkness, sans Mideon. I've seen some good Mideon BCA customs so I hope to make one some day.

Rusty you need more Mideon!! I need help identifying a figure I used for a CM Punk custom long ago. It was a Triple H figure, nothing else was changed other then the head. Some thinks its a Backlash figure. Ive never seen this figure if ever since I bought it off of ebay many many years ago.
