Vince McMahon was providing financial assistance for ECW during that time, so I wouldn't rule it out. I've heard before that Jakks wanted to bring a few of the ECW guys to the BCA figure line.
The whole Fake Diesel/Razor thing was ridiculous as is, so why not rub it in some more by releasing another 2-pack with repainted attires?
I just always wanted Razor in green and Diesel in his WMXII attire (silver top), so that was the perfect opportunity to make it happen.

True. Razor in green would have been nice to have, and that silver top for Diesel has become pretty iconic in the long run.

Interesting about the ECW BCA talk. Now, who all do you think would be in that line??
My guess is these 6 would be in it.
Jerry "The King" Lawler Sabu RVD Tommy Dreamer Taz Paul Heyman
What does anyone else think?? If you look back in to 1997 it seemed those would be the 6 guys who would make the most sense to have made.

I was thinking that they'd just randomly insert an ECW guy or two into a Superstars set, or Slammers or something. But making a separate set like that would have been good. I can imagine that set flying off shelves in Philly and NY, but not selling as well anywhere else in the country until much later.

There were rumors circulating of ECW guys like Sandman, Dreamer, Sabu, RVD, Taz and Candido being made by Jakks.
Strange as it may sound, this was around late April 1998, but nothing substantial ever came from those rumors.

Does anyone have any good BCA customs pictures that they may have saved from online in the late 90s?

I'll try to see if I have any saved. Speaking of which, the first BCA test shot in a long time to be listed on eBay is available now from WF member meatybat: It's a Best Offer listing with a set price at $200, and I'm curious to see if anyone would be willing to spend $50+ on it. I'd love to own it, but not for more than $20.

Is that Bret? The mid-section, head and arms have me thinking it is but I don't recall a figure of him being released in jeans...

Yeah it's test, but I don't think they used Bret's torso/arms. Looks more like the early Shawn Michaels figures to me.

Yeah, I am stupid. The sad part is I was looking at my Series 2 Bret and didn't even think about the singlet. That is the old HBK, my bad lol.

I saw the Test with purple shorts and the Godfather. I picked up Hardcore Holly.
I was a dumbass. I regret that very much.

Haha, ouch. The Godfather in that set was really hard to find at that time I remember. I found one at my TRU and the thing was like a holy grail for a month before I sold it.

I loved that Godfather figure. Such a sweet figure with a detailed entrance vest, hat, and cane. Plus the wheel barrow was one of the larger weapons of the BCA era.

Godfather's head sculpt is undeniably creepy and sinister-looking at the same time, but the rest of that figure and what was included with it (for the original Road Rage series release) is as good as anything in the entire BCA line. If you missed out on the original, it was re-released in DTA Tour Series 3 without all of the accessories (for those that didn't know).

I loved the color scheme the most lol, something about purple and orange on an action figure just stood out to me.
