I wouldve loved early BCA releases of Savage, Flair, Hogan, and Slaughter (Ring gear)

It would have been great if they had started a Legends line for the BCA's. As Chicago stated earlier, with guys like Hogan, Flair, Savage, etc being in WCW they would have had to put a little more focus on earlier versions of wrestlers that were currently contracted. But I think that would have been just fine. Especially if you think about it, they could have used the same 3 tag teams that they later used for the Classic Superstar tag teams series 1. Road Warriors were currently under contract and could have easily been a rerelease of there 2pack figures, or better yet maybe a resculpt for the torso's. Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty were both working for the WWF as the BCA's started. Bret Hart was working for the WWF and Neidhart was working there too.
They could have released an earlier version of the Undertaker. Andre and Snuka would have probably been available for the first series as well, considering they made them in the Ripped and Ruthless style legends that did.

Thinking about it brings me back to the TTL line when Famous Scenes Series 4 was due for a "Then and Now" theme with classic and current attires for HHH, Rocky, and 'Taker.
It was canceled and we never got those figures, with the exception of 'Taker in CS1, until RA versions were produced in CS1 (HHH) and WrestleMania Winners/CS11 (Rocky Maivia).
Reason why I bring that up is because it goes back to the argument where WWF nostalgia wasn't really marketable for Jakks Pacific in the late 90s to early 2000s. I really believe the Legends Series (with Andre, Snuka, Blassie, and Albano) flopping so badly ruined any chances of a Classic BCA line.
However, if Jakks was able to sign some big names, I think it could have worked. Maybe start by randomly inserting Classic repaints into other BCA lines (similar to what Jakks did later with the BNB figures) at one per case, or one per every two cases.
Speaking of which, has anyone ever heard of any BCA figures that were limited in regular assortments? I think I read somewhere that the Ringside Collection Series 2 Honky Tonk Man was one per case.

Could Jakks/the WWF have gotten in trouble for using Razor and Diesel's gimmicks, though?
Did they not own the rights to both characters?
If they did, and I think they did (do), they could have gotten away with at least one more release out of those BCA Razor and Diesel figures when the Fakes were on TV.

I don't think they would have gotten in trouble as long as the pictures on the photocards that were in the pack were of the Fake Diesel and Fake Razor.

Well, if Jakk's would of released Hulk Hogan, Macho Man, I would expect Hulk Hogan to have been released in his long red tights and yellow cowboy boots. I think he would of had maybe the Triple H body mold, but Macho Man on the other hand, I think he would of been made similar to Honkey Tonk Man and wouldn't of been that playable.

At least Toybiz made figures that were somewhat in scale with the BCA line.

Oh yeah, as soon as the WCW toybiz Hollywood Hogan was in stores I bought it. I had so many matches with him and the WWF BCA superstars.

So no one bought the Ripped and Ruthless Legends and played with them with their regular BCA's? If I would of found them in stores I would of bought them, I had Andre a couple of years ago, I didn't think he was that bad of a figure. He was the right scale to be honest, I think Freddie Blassie would of been alright to play with along with Super Fly although I've never had those. My friend had Freddie but I only saw it once, I barely remember it.

I didn't think the Ripped & Ruthless figures were in scale at all with BCAs. Andre's one thing since he's supposed to be a giant, so he may have worked. But my buddy had Undertaker, and he TOWERED over BCAs. I know Undertaker is supposed to be tall, but this was an immense difference.

I had all of Ripped and Ruthless series 1 and 2 but i kept them on there stands and used them for display only.
I also had all of the Legends figures but i kept them MOC.
I bought a R&R series 2 HBK moc for $5.00 from a flea market last year.

That's cool, I only ever had Undertaker and Andre from the Ripped and Ruthless series.

I distinctly remember having Kane from Ripped and Ruthless Series 2 and using it with the rest of my figures, but I don't think I ever had any of the others, including from Legends Series 1.
There would always be plenty of them (besides Kane) hogging shelf space in the store, but I never had an interest in collecting statue pieces for wrestling. Even when they were marked down REALLY low, I still couldn't sell myself on them.
Kane was the exception since his first unmasked figure was one of the most anticipated from my collecting past.

Wasn't the Ripped and Ruthless unmasked Kane's face just the Undertakers?
