I used that Kane as a Kevin Nash. When I got the Kevin Nash that came with Rey...I had HHH, Hall, and X pac beatdown Taker in the ring..with that kane coming down to save him and when he got in the ring HHH, Hall, and Pac cleared the ring for him to help to taker up and give him like 3 jackknifes and to take his mask off showing it was Nash.

What's sad is that it doesn't really look all that much like Undertaker either.
If anything, cut off the hair and it might resemble a Mattel Big Show head.

I don't think it was supposed to be Undertaker. Here is my take on it: Since we were to believe that Kane was Taker's brother, then they would obviously resemble one another. So, without anyone knowing what he looked like under the mask, they sculpted him to RESEMBLE Undertaker, but not AS the Undertaker. For a pre-real scan head, this would suffice for an unmasked Kane in '98.
However, the way the hair works and the piss poor scar on his face, and honestly the overall quality of R&R2 as a whole, it just didn't work well. The fact that it is one of 2 of Kane's first figures, it was HOT, not to mention it was a "premium" line and unmasking was a super bonus at the time. It's all circumstantial, mainly because it is not that good of a figure to be honest.
I love it! I have all of Kane's figures and it does hold a special place in my collection, but it is its novelty that drove it sky high at one time, not its realistic quality to Kane himself.

^ I agree with what you were saying there about Kane's first few figures. The fact is, I always wished Kane had a more menacing, intimidating looking BCA. Especially after Superstars 7 Undertaker came out, the Slammers Kane didn't live up to his monstrous persona to me.

Definitely something like the Kane custom using Kurrgan's torso that was posted in this thread before.
He deserved a retooled sculpt with more muscle, even if just so that, like Haggar said, he could evenly stand toe-to-toe with 'Taker's Superstars Series 7 figure.

Was there any talk of Kane removing his mask back in 98 to have Jakks make a R&R figure of Kane with a removable mask then?? Because it just seems so random that they did that.

There was always that rumor but thank god they didn't back then. It made more sense like the Maximum Sweat where it was burnt to a crisp, rather than a semi realistic look under the mask. Very odd concept indeed.

I was cleaning out the basement the other day and came across 8 BCAs that I totally forgot I had. I guess when I was selling off my collection I decided to keep a few that were my favorite, which is awesome. I know I had around 450 by the time TTLs came out and most of them I could care less about. I'm glad I kept these few though.
HBK in green (series 3?) HBK in red DX version Bret Hart series 3 Stone Cold bad guys series Ultimate Warrior in blue Vader black/maroon Mankind original style Razor Ramon purple
I figure thats a solid 8 to still have, I would like to pick up the first Owen and Bulldog, along with the first non-glow in the dark Undertaker.

It was right after he won the title at WM13

Especially after Superstars 7 Undertaker came out, the Slammers Kane didn't live up to his monstrous persona to me. Me too. I always had trouble using Kane if my fed. At times I would really get into using him, then I would start to slow down and not use him as much because he wasn't as big and menacing looking as I knew he should be. I always wanted to find the R&R Kane, cause he would have been menacing.....but I'm sure I wouldn't have liked using him either cause of the lack of articulation around the hips. Would have sucked for him to have to stand straight up all the time....this is Kane, not Khali lol. Was there any talk of Kane removing his mask back in 98 to have Jakks make a R&R figure of Kane with a removable mask then?? Because it just seems so random that they did that. This is very random for them to do. You would almost think that the WWF wouldn't have allowed them to make an unmasked Kane. Seems like they would have wanted to keep his face hid, even in figure form. Unless they were thinking of making his disfigurement being more a psychological thing, were he wasnt as disfigured as he thought he thought he was. But thats adding a completely difference direction to the character, a possible direction that they may be using on Cody Rhodes now.

Speaking of Kane, He wasn't a huge name in my federation either. When I actually got Kane, he was just another member of The Corporation. He really was more of a body guard for Mr. McMahon than anything, The Undertaker however was a main event star in my federation. Along with Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H.

I used Kane quite a bit in my fig fed. He was in the main event of a ppv i called wwf gold.It was Kane(wwf champ) vs Taz (ecw champ) vs Hollywood Hogan (wcw Champ).Kane won and i retired the wcw and ecw title.
Kane also had a long fued with Steve Corino in my fig fed. There fued ended when Corino won the royal rumble and became a main event superstar.

It was right after he won the title at WM13 I never had trouble finding either Undertaker, but I'm not sure if this was well before or after his WM13 title win (which might have something to do with it). Razor and Diesel were generally considered the hardest to find from Series 1. Especially Razor. I know Warrior's green repaint in the Survivor Series boxed set was worth more than his Series 2 figure for the longest time. I don't remember any from Series 2 or 3 being that hard to find, except for maybe the Series 1 Goldust/Diesel re-releases.

hey i found a site that was selling some of the old BCA's MOC for around $5 each, not sure what they have left though, I clicked on one and it said 'out of stock'. Just thought that was cool, cause if you don't factor in shipping its like buying them at the same price they first came out as.
