See the topic about avoiding a certain ebay seller to see how hard it was for me to finally get this figure, first of all. Then, don't make the mistake I made and assume that the basic figures are just scaled back versions of the deluxe figures with the DVD. So, all of the time and effort, not to mention spending $11.99 +$5.70 shipping (for a total of 17.69) for this cheap, dollar store-looking version of Mistico. the deluxe figures, btw, feature more articulation, better sculpting, and are similar in size to the TNA figures. Someone else posted pics of one in the forum a while back if you do some searching. Go ahead and laugh. It's only saving grace is that it's Mistico.

Thanks for the review. It looks like a pretty cool figure, to be honest... it's been so long since a lucha figure has been released in mexico anywhere near that level of quality. I'm holding out to find better prices, because, like you said, it's basically a dollar store figure.

I am nearly positive they never had more than one of each figure, even though they listed so many for sale(I noticed the one I got is the one in the picture they kept using to list the multiple Mistico's they sold). They had to send me the Mistico to keep from getting a paypal chargeback and you got the other two.

Ha! My Mistico's belt had the sticker coming off at the top anyway. Not that it was that hard to fix, but it figures, right? Really, the basic CMLL figures are good for what they are. I would not be disappointed if I paid $5 for one, but over $17 felt like a big rip-off.
I REALLY want the deluxe version, but it's obviously going to be harder than I thought to find one for a decent price.

It's seems to be a running trend with getting ripped off from Mexico....

This will read entirely the wrong way, I'm sure, but it's indicitive of an entirely different culture. It's far more of a "wild west" of free enterprise than anything. There are a lot of really good, hard-working and honest people there, but the ones who are more inclined to rip you off are the ones more likely to have internet access. A lot of people are really struggling and it's sad that they're getting overshadowed in our eyes by the cons who are ripping us off.

Yeah, I agree with that, but it just seems that everytime I find a dealer things go well for a while until they get greedy & start screwing people over. I've given this guy a TON of business this year & now I had to file a claim for my $120.00 back. I hate trusting people.

Doesn't look to be a bad figure. I wouldn't mind purchasing the whole set.

It is closer in scale to the old Bend Ems figures than anything. They are nice for maybe $3-5 dollars, but don't overpay IF you can find them being sold by someibe who actually has them and won't try to rip you off.
